Is it better to exchange your altcoins for dollars or btc?

Actually, It depends on each purpose and plan. Yep, you should exchange cryptocurrencies for dollar if you really need fiat for doing something. But in case you want to invest in bitcoin, you want to reap a better fruits, you’d better exchange for bitcoin. However, I advise you to choose bitcoin only when you are adopted this market, and you are so much keen on trading or investing because if you do not have interest in this field, you will easily lose your money. I hope you guy will have a suitable choice in your situation.

I would advise you to trade your alts for bitcoins, rather than fiat as the value of fiat will stay the same, but the value of bitcoins will only keep on increasing in the long run. Another reason why I advise against keeping money in altcoins is that once they crash they take years to recover or, they never really recover plus most Ico's are scam. It's pertinent to note that you should be careful to time your entry, and exit in the bitcoins market other wise you'll burn your hands if you buy at a very high prices.

I also agree, I have already liquidated most of what is left of my deflated
alt coins back into Bitcoin with the exception of a few like Litecoin, Monero,
Ethereum and EOS.

I believe there will be larger and quicker growth from Bitcoin than the vast
majority of alt's. As above we could be waiting years for some alt's to
grow and a lot will never other than a 'pump and dump' scenario.

I think you're right. Keep bitcoin is very profitable, but to have a certain amount in Fiat is also worth it. Although bitcoin and profitable investment, but still not forget the important rule that we must invest in crypto only the extra money.

I am hodling only BTC at the moment. Because all of the altcoins are too unstable. BTC is the king of all crypto currencies and will remain the king for the next couple of years. It is the best and the most trusted coin on the market.

If this is what is not a very promising altcoin, then I would better exchange it for bitcoin as it is more stable than altcoins. Of course, this does not mean that bitcoin will start to grow right now, but I think that in the future it can cost a lot of money

That's a good decission to exchange your altcoins to dollar and bitcoin to avoid lossing money from shitcoins that always drop for their price.

If you want to stay in the game and keep investing it's better to sell for Bitcoin. If you want to play it safe buy gold.
IMO money needs to be working for you and fiat money only loses value. If you don't want to keep losing buy something that has a stable value or something that is unstable but with high probability of going up. Gold, silver, bitcoin, art, even old cars are all a better store of value than dollars.

Some will change their altcoin and cryptocurrency into USD and some will change altcoin in to bitcoin. From my knowledge most of the people used to convert altcoin into bitcoin . Because if you change the altcoin into bitcoin,you will get some profit in future.But the price of USD will not change into high price.So you will get higher profit in altcoin to bitcoin convertion.

Cryptocurrency is not accepted in every country for now therefore holding cryptocurrency without any fiat currency will be difficult anyone except if someone resides in country where level of cryptocurrency acceptance is high.

sometimes u need trade to usd for safety
for example
if u need to exchange , but situation like all going red.
better u trade to USD first than btc, and after u see some action
u can buy btc .

Depending on the market that we enter, usually I compare between ethereum, bitcoin and usd. I choose from the fees incurred and the value I get in my currency when selling to the pair. Sometimes a high on pair USD but cannot be withdrawn through the bank that we have because it is only available at the market location so that it is difficult for traders

Market is at the bottom or ultimate support at the moment atleast seems so, so i will suggest you to hold now and be patient lets see if market shows us any reversal signs in coming days and weeks, im personally hopeful that we will be seeing market recovery soon.

of course this is still needed, what is the use of cryptocurrency if in the end we cannot take advantage of it in everyday life?
after all, saving assets in exchange is also not guaranteed to be safe, so it's better sometimes we have to move assets to centralized money

I agree to your point but you have to understand that we cant buy everything from crypto, at least not yet. So we need to convert the crypto to fiat whenever necessary or for a possible profit in trading.

I understand that keeping piles of investment in bitcoins is profitable. But I think it is more promising and risky to keep investments in coins and tokens. Because they grow very quickly especially from new projects.

It entirely depends on your requirement! If your cryptocurrency earnings help your daily living, you will be converting it to dollar. But if your crypto earnings are only for investment and cold storage, it will be converted in bitcoins. It's that simple! Big terminologies like "in search for alternatives of fiat" doesn't even come into play here!

Because bitcoin is cheap now, I think it's better to exchange your altcoins for btc...
But while altcoins are on the bottom, I suggest do not exchange them before their price will restore...

On some altcoins, you can earn money because of their volatility.  But, generally speaking, not a single Altcoin has achieved its established goals, and moreover has not replaced the crypto currency from the top 5.  So, especially today, I would recommend changing altcoins to fiat money or crypto currencies from the top 5.
