Something went wrong(( 1 - Downloaded https://releases.broked.net/Z9Mini_2.3.tar.gz2 - in formatted 8GB FAT32 SD card. 3 - extracted from Z9Mini_2.3.tar.gz map files (md5_info, runme.sh, uramdisk.image.gz). 4 - disabled ASIC. 5 - inserted the card. 6 - enabled ASIC. 7 - and here the trouble, it took 5 minutes indicators do not go out((. That is not what the instructions say. You only need to use SD card if you have signature checking enabled. And the SD card installation image starts with “sd” in the name. For mini, just use the upgrade page and upload the image as is... no need to extract anything. -j

Finally i had a chance to put the Fuddware on my Z11 and i am very pleased with it. I did not have time to play with voltages/frequencies but I have tried other firmware's and found this firmware is more stable so i am going to stick with it.

Two questions:
1. What is the SSH username and password for this firmware?
2. If I want to restore back to the stock firmware, how do I accomplish that?

Hey man... 1) same as default. root/admin after the first full boot. 2) simply install it via the standard web upgrade page. Stock is locked to prevent you from installing others, but mine is not locked the reverse direction. The only “odd” thing is you need to “save” on the frequency or pool page once to set the config file up... until then the client side JavaScript will complain that it is invalid. This is because I store the config for frequency and voltage in the standard config file. Hope this helps! -j

Thanks for the info! Got the Firmware working at 781 and 940. Great!
I still can't get in via SSH with either Putty or WinSCP. I just get a "Connection refused" with either the stock modded or the custom version.
I run mostly A9's so this Z11 is a bit new to me.
Thanks in advance for your help.

That is weird and should not be happening with SSH... by chance can you join discord (in my signature) and catch me on there? If we could use teamviewer or something for me to look at the unit, it would help. I'll be on the next couple of hours at least. *EDIT*: Incidentally, I have an A9 en route to evaluate for modifications... -j

Quick question. How can I tell that my miners aren't switching over to you when mining on luxor? Randomly I see my hashrate drop to about 50kh/s each at the pool, and when checking my miners, they both show 140kh/s.

Are you mining ARRR by chance? I just had someone tell me about an issue the are seeing that sounds similar with ARRR that they don’t see with ZEC. PM me your support ID from the system page so I can verify it is detecting you on Luxor and disabling the pools, just in case. IF there was dev pool activity, you would see “Switching to pool 3” in the logs. -j

Hw error can be ignored on Z11. It is normal. nicehash is broken again as of a couple of weeks ago. An update was posted a few posts back. It is being worked between nicehash, bitmain, and me when I can. No resolution at this point. Nicehash and bitmain both want to get it resolved, however. No eta. -j

If you are mining ARRR via Luxor, please try the EU server if you are using the US server and report back if you have any problems.

Awesome folk. Thank you. The issue appears to be a core problem with ARRR that stems from the underlying Zcash (zec) core base. Basically the act of making a payment can impact the generation of shares. The US server handles both payments and shares for mining. I am told that the Luxor folk are working with ARRR team on trying to resolve this, but it may take some time. I think they are working on a temporarily workaround.

Hi, what settings do you use on Z11? I hava a problem with large power comsumption. 791 mhz /960 and i get 2100-2200W with 155-160 kh/s Does anyone get better results? I have 2000W PSu so its problematic on a new Bitmain firmware I get 135-140 kh/s and 1500W only.

I have 2000W PSu so its problematic on a new Bitmain firmware I get 135-140 kh/s and 1500W only. These are crazy power hungry when pushed. Join the discord as others may have some views and experiences to share there in the z11 channel as well... but the trick at that point in your testing would be to see how much power you can pull back out while maintaining a given hashrate. Tuning each board may help you optimize the power draw as well. Some folk have cheap power and don’t mind the draw, others are undervolting to maintain stock rates with lower power draw. -j
