Hi, I'm using TRM to mine ETH using my Hynix Vega 56 and I'm getting 50.5 MH/s @ 130 W, which is about 10% better than PhoenixMiner 5.5c. Great! However, my RX 480 8GB only gets around 29 MH/s with TRM, whereas it gets 30.2 MH/s @ 61 W using PhoenixMiner. Is it normal for TRM to not be faster than PhoenixMiner for Polaris?

The RX 480 has optimised voltages and clocks, only VRAM tweak is REF=27.
it is better to look not at the displayed hashrate by the program, but the number of found shares for a certain period of time, usually TRM looks better

I now have several Radeon VII doing 98Mhs in Windows, I'm just using the strap 2 option in the driver. Distance between the cards is important as well as fan speed.

Jumping back on the crypto mining bandwagon, it's been a while and I used windows previously, now using Ubuntu 20.04.

I could use some help, I should have everything but trying to figure out what driver I should be running on currently as most guides are out-of-date.

I have the Radeon RX 5700 XT

Which driver should I be using? Link if possible? Thanks guys!

teamredminer.exe --enable_compute -a ethash -o stratum+tcp://eu1.ethermine.org:4444 -u 0xYYYYYY.TR -p x

Windows 10

It occasionally gets a bit further than this (DAG sometimes gets to 100%), but but then exits.

Any ideas?

Not sure if this is the right place to ask but I have a doubt.
I was mounting a new rig. Initially it used just a rx 570 8gb: worked fine. Then I added a rx 480 8gb through one of those pci express usb adapters that turn x1 slots into x16 ones.
At first both gpus stopped working altogether, windows was giving code 43 (even when i plugged them individually). Did some trouble shooting and found the issue was probably windows installing conflicting drivers; reverted both of these card's bios to the original one then did a DDU and they started working fine again.

However, now when plugging on the same rig again (one on the x16 slot and the other on the x1 slot through an adapter) the one plugged through the adapter is extremely unstable. MSI afterburner shows its values oscilating like crazy at idle, the pc keeps freezing slightly every 5 seconds and the fans also stop spinning randomly. Impossible to use it like this.

Both cards are on their original bios, haven't flashed back to the modded yet since I wanted to test first. And from my estimations the psu should be enough: It's a 550 corsair and hwinfo64 tells me these cards only draw 100w each while at heavy load. At the very least the psu should be enough to keep stable in idle.
Plus, the fact only the card on the pci express adapter is causing problems tells me the problem is the adapter itself.

Anyone know what could be it? Or anyone with experience using those adapters suffered something similar? It's that one with blue slot and blue USB cable.
Would appreciate any help.

Hello guys Smiley i hope you are all doing good Smiley

one question:

for ravencoin mining on windows 10, amd rx 570 4gb, what is the best way to control fans, voltages and clocks?

can i do it from the miner (like eth mining on phoenix or old claymore, where i can control temps, fans, etc via a command)

thanks

As far as I know, you cant control voltage and clocks,.. I do it throug OverdriveNTool program.

On the Autolykos protocol, when mining an ERGO coin (pool woolypooly), the miner constantly writes about duplicate work, is this not good?
a lot of expired shares and as a result of rejections

To the Teamredminer development team:

Is it possible to put in the Power throttle limit control to slow down the mining itself in order to protect GPU does not over temp under GPU temp/ Junction temp/ Vram temp , pls consider

To be clear, it's not a bug in the miner, it's just an unnecessary warning, the workaround is 100% safe and works. Basically, it means we don't refresh the nonce range we test since the pool job we just received is 100% identical to the previous one, we continue hashing from the last nonce used before the new job arrived. It's more that it's occuring much more often in the ERGO mining world, pools don't seem to refresh the job from the daemon when they send out a "new" job for the same network block height. The warning was inherited from other mining protocols where this doesn't really happen naturally but should be removed for ERGO for users since it adds zero value, only confusion.

Such a feature isnt there at the moment, but check if these commands help in your case to protect GPUs
Code:
--temp_limit=TEMP     Sets the temperature at which the miner will stop GPUs that are too hot.
                        Default is 85C.
--temp_resume=TEMP    Sets the temperature below which the miner will resume GPUs that were previously
stopped due to temperature exceeding limit.  Default is 60C.

Hello, since the v0.8.2 update I keep getting "GPU 2 : detected DEAD" every hour on my stable rig.
When I look at the log, the card is still at normal hashrate when detected DEAD Undecided
Tried to reduce overclock and increase voltage, still having this issue.

Can this be caused by the miner detecting the card DEAD when it's not? Thanks  Cheesy

you can check the usb cables, riser and finally reinstall the driver
