refs memory cooling way much better then others(evoke, pulse, mech, msi gaming tested)

Not sure where you’re getting your info on ref vs pulse cooling, but it’s completely opposite to everything I’ve seen.  Pulse has been demonstrated by numerous publications to have a far superior cooling solution vs the ref.

Maybe you’re just lumping it in with the shitty ASUS, msi, etc solutions...  this would be a mistake.

For $10 more than the ref, the cooler, quieter pulse appears to be the better buy.

EDIT: Here's Tech Jesus' take on the matter - the most respected voice on these things afaic:

https://www.gamersnexus.net/hwreviews/3513-sapphire-rx-5700-pulse-review-non-xt-vs-red-dragon

Due to my own expreience.Took ss, left side pulse 92 mem temp, right side ref 5700 80 mem temp. i have many of them msi mech even worser 96 memory temp.İn pulse 5700 and 5700xt different memory cooler.

What about Power Color, f.e. Red Dragon?

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

wow... thanks for the info.  really curious why your results are so different from the tech journals/pubs.  is it possible you got a bad card, or did you experience this w/ multiple pulse 5700s? is the mem mfg the same for both cards?

Yep have multiples pulse and  all same, but all from same batch serial numbers close.I'm almost sure all have micron memory(pulse and refs)  but didn't check phisicialy.

It's strange, but I'm searched info's about memory temps of Sapphire Pulse 5700 XT and nonXT.
All reviews and tests where measured memory temp talks about 80C. Even in XT.
But many peoples who buy Pulse cards speaks about high memory temp - about 92-94+C. Some of them writes in Sapphire tech support and recieved answer that it's abnormal memory temperature and recommend to return card to shop cause of defect.
Very strange...

pulse 5700 non xt and xt different vram cooling solutions ,but also ım not sure xt pulse have good results.i'll buy refsdon't need to take risk.
According to micron max temp is 95 .

MSI refs 5700 too often with defects...
ASUS DUAL EVO without memory cooling at all...
I didn't know what 5700 card to buy )))) Maybe MSI Gaming...

Hello, can I ask which CN Algorithms are compatible with 4 Gb Cards? Are Polaris RX 480 4Gb and RX 580 4Gb profitable in CN? Is there a page where I can check Polaris 4Gb and 8 Gb cards separately?

Regards.

Mariano.

One Vega 56 referent (64 bios, samsung mem) have hardware errors:
[48C, fan 71%]       ethash: 48.36Mh/s, avg 48.54Mh/s, pool 47.27Mh/s a:9112 r:0 hw:164

Any recomendations?

txs

Not all memory is the same - some can take more aggressive timings, some less.  I would trim back your timings changes to a minimum set (and reduce REF), and build from there:

Code:
--REF 15600 --RFC 248 --RAS 30 --RP 12 --RC 44 --RCDRD 14

This will prob get you to 99.5%+ of your list anyway.  If these still don't work - try reducing REF more (try 11700), then maybe RC, then RP - those are your biggest movers.

Also, are you sure you need 850mv for those settings?  All of my vegas (including the flashed 56) are running 930cclk/1028mclk @ 800mv for 47.4MH/s.

EDIT: Take a look at your temperatures (esp mem) on the two different cards as well.  Higher mem temps cause faster charge decay requiring more frequent refreshes (i.e. lower REF).  Mine do just fine w/ REF=15600, but mem temps are all in the high 50's to low 60's.

txs pbfarmer! With your memtweak timings just finished test 24 hour with 0 hw errors ;-)

HBM temperature is low 70's on all cards (can't do much on that, small room with no window for cooling, just one fan, and few holes for fresh air)

Never tried so low mV (800), i don't have power play table for 800, is it possible to running 800 mV with ppt build for 850 mV?

Yeah you can do 800mv(the lowest voltage on vega gpu) with ont&ppt but applied on newer driver

This is no doubt that AMD can still compete today and while the price of this graphics card has begun to fall but its quality is very reliable for mining.

I'm on Windows 10.  What AMD driver are you all using to get TR to work on ETH Hash?  I've tried several different versions, including the 2020 drivers and the miner reports a dead GPU within minutes.  This is using their guide on my mix of Vega 56's and 64's.
