2018 is not a year of profit making, but for investments

i am neutral at that time as i do not have money to make investment. i believe that btc will rise in future but not sure about the time. i will keep only holding of my funds.

Evidently the bear market is hitting is pretty hard in 2019 as well but this is an opportunity for those people who didn't invest in 2018 to do it now, I have a feeling that the tidesa re changing soon.

I think 2018 is a year of lesson that crypto is not a one day read where you ger profit all the time. Instead you have to learnt and invest wisely.  You have to patience and keep investing in those coin which have strong fundamental. You have to be good in trading and if get sufficient profit then take it and dont be greedy

I disagree with you. Many traders earned very good money for the whole of 2018. Investors just the opposite could not recapture most of their investments, but this does not mean that they will not succeed in the future.

2018 is not a year in which the price goes up. That is for sure. But making profit doesn't require prices to go up. At least for seasoned and experienced traders, who can short an asset in a heartbeat.
I agree that long-term investing didn't score much profits in 2018.
And yes, it is a great time to invest now, even in early 2019.

I also think that 2018 was a year of investment, and all the players who could profitably buy the most promising coins to the maximum hold them.

I think 2019 will be much more appropriate for investments rather than 2018. It's pity, but the community isn't mature enough to understand the necessity and importance of a sowing period for the market. The truth is you will never get a really good gain without a thorough preparation of investment strategy and correct entry points.

I do agree. 2018 had been a dreadful year. A year that every crypto enthusiasts experienced everything unpleasant: bearish market; a decline in initial coin offerings; increased regulation; scammed bounties; etc. However for some, it was a year for enhancing their portfolio. Many of my friends took advantage of the bear market and bought some of the popular cryptocurrencies - hoping that this year will be much different. It was their response to some crypto analysts prediction that "2019 will be the turning point for digital currencies. A clearer regulation, will converge to drive mass adoption of cryptocurrencies that will provide significant benefits for all stakeholders and potential investors".
They maybe wrong or they maybe right, who knows? One thing is for sure - there's always hope.

When market is down, it will not allow you to sell, otherwise you'll not profit.

So far, market is still in red, not only 2018 but it has continued in 2019 and although we are expecting a recovery but
we never know when it will take place. It's hard for all of us since this long period of drought could kill our faith or hope for the future

Perhaps you are right, cause during 2018, most of all altcoins including bitcoin itself facing such hard fall. And i can't sell all the coins that i had, cause i will suffer a big loss if i sell them, so i choose to keep them and makes the investment a bit longer until the market get better.

If you have a good looks regarding to your supported assets holding is the best options, crypto currency will surprise each holders who will be able to overcome fears with this current situation, people who continue to believe that bounce back will happen and it will bring huge outcome will surely succeed in this journey.
