If the bitcoin payment back on rakes is not an option that would be fine. Last I remember in order to become an affiliate you need to mail you guys and become an affiliate that way instead of the old fashion "here is your link, go get us customers" in many other places.
Instead of going over affiliates system and if we want krill or rake or whatever, maybe you guys could make the affiliate thing easier, becoming affiliate should not be that hard, not many people want to do the mailing work and just want to have a link and have a banner and put it up somewhere to become affiliate and maybe get couple of people sign under there.
Making that easier would be a lot easier and we would be much happier with it, the 25% mgr is already cool and I would be happy with it but I wouldn't want to deal with the other parts of it for now.

Would the community be interested in a refer-a-friend program that paid out Krill for referrals?
If krill would be worth more, probably yes.

I think people would be down to that idea if SWC had a decent items store like what Stars had around 2006 - 2009. I remember buying a travel cert worth 2.5k USD and used that to travel to Macau.
Build up the store and the Krill will be worth something more. IMHO.

I'd really like to stream your site, but the software grinds my high-end PC to an absolute halt. MrBug was complaining about the same thing on my table. I really hope you worked on the performance for the next update because otherwise no serious player is gonna even consider doing this regularly. Also, question: I assume I'm eligible for the twitch bounties when I play two tournies (Big BTC/Lil BTC) and switch scenes back and forth? It says I have to stream the whole tournament, which is unclear. Edit: Yeah, I'm likely not gonna finish this, the software stops reacting (gray-scales) and it affects the other sites I play. Too bad

While client stability has been reported as overall good, there are two issues that are tracked regarding client stability that have been addressed and will be included in the next update, expected next week. Regarding Twitch bounties, if you are streaming multiple SwC tournaments (from the beginning) and your feed switches from table to table this is certainly acceptable. When judging Twitch bounties, we look to at the spirit of the contest.
BIG BTC is running now and may overlay. About 30 minutes remain for late registration, 86 players currently seated. A great time to play SwC tournament!

... There is another site, which I shall not name here, with a wider variety of mix games and structures that is stealing your market share.
Do you have any plans to add more mix games to the lineup? Games like Archie, Dramaha hi/2-7, double board Omaha, super/pineapple stud hi/hi-lo, etc. ...
None of the mix games that you mention is running on the poker site that you refer to. What would be the advantage for SWC in offering additional poker variants when they already have one of the most manifold poker environments in terms of available game types? What would be the advantage in adding a game like Double Board Omaha when at the current time only 1 single table of regular PLO is running (2 guys playing Heads-up)? Are you familiar with this site? You say that none of these mix games run on Kings, but I am playing now and they are currently running two full tables of Crazy Mix (15 game mix with all the variants mentioned and then some) as well as another table heads up. It is the norm for 1-4 of these tables to run around the clock on Kings, as well as other mixed formats, to run around the clock on all stakes from 4/8 to 30/60 USD. Also, not sure what one table of PLO has to do with double board Omaha as part of a mixed game rotation. Apples and oranges. If anything, the situation is the opposite of what you describe. SwC has a hard time getting any mix games to go regularly. For instance, right now there is one person trying to start a 2/4 mBTC lowball mix. Bringing more mix games into the line up could only help increase traffic and visibility as Kings players would see that they have another viable action for mixed game action. I really wish that SwC would respond on their basis for *not* considering offering these games. It would be helpful to foster mixed game traffic, which in turn brings more traffic to other games as well as these players also enjoy playing the more standard forms of poker. I really hope that this can be considered. I personally would help spread the word if SwC were willing to show mixed players that they care as much as Kings does about keeping the game lineup fresh and competitive.

I personally would help spread the word if SwC were willing to show mixed players that they care as much as Kings does about keeping the game lineup fresh and competitive. I think you're both partially right. Non-NLHE games are definitely the biggest strength SWC has over any other sites out there right now and they should play into it. But as of now there are too many more important issues to put too many ressources into developing new games imo, it has taken them literal months just to bring back NL27SD. And while the mixed game crowd tends to bring decent bankrolls, you have to acknowledge that the attainable player base is very limited when compared to NLHE/PLO. These games are just more popular, whether we mixed game folks like it or not. The Big Game Mix was a decent addition, but it's not running because mixed game players want to play. well, a mix of games, and that one is way too small. 11-game does run but many more "traditional" people won't play it because they find FL games boring. I wish they would give a bigger big game mix a chance. Adding more exotic games should definitely be on the roadmap, but I doubt it's gonna be top priority.

Hey Slothy I don’t think the poster you were responding to even understands that double board Omaha is pretty much only played as part of a mix and in its fixed limit format, on the other site. I don’t think he realizes that there are multiple limit mix games and big bet mix games running around the clock at high stakes, as well as $10/pt ofc (or is familiar w the site at all).
But the drawOE and , coach’s mix, crazy mix aren’t possible on swc yet, bc the software can’t run Archie, dramaha, 2-7 dramaha, 2-7 razz, double board Omaha, 150 bb cap nl 2-7, pot limit badugi/badeucy/badacey, A-5 triple draw, etc yet. I don’t get the feeling that swcpoker is unwilling to run pretty much anything that players suggest, that’s reasonable. But the other site has been around longer than 3.0 swcpoker and the amount of liquidity dwarfs swcpoker - for now.
There’s been some Stars highstakes mix players that have come over and some Kings players have come over to swcpoker. But the stakes that US fix limit mix players and the main Stars reg that’s come over to swcpoker want to play are much higher than what swcpoker player pool supports - for now. There’s also some kings guys who only play the $5/10 w $4 ante big bet mixes. Among the $4/8-$8/16 (or 1k/2k-2k/4k chip) mix players, they all seem to want to play almost strictly fixed limit mix. Among the high stakes mix players, it’s slightly less than 80/20 fix limit to big bet.
One mix that I enjoy on swcpoker, that isn’t spread on Kings, is the 11 game mix - because it’s a true mix of big bet, limit, stud, draw, and flop games (and like most, I don’t feel all that confident in my Dramaha game). If we could bring over even 10% of the players from kings to try swcpoker it would be a huge boost For swcpoke. If traffic was the same at both sites, everybody would play at swcpoker bc of the much lower rake. So I don’t think swcpoker doesn’t care about what their players want - it’s just that the software can’t run those other variants yet.
There are 3 mix game sites in the world, 2 of which accept players from across the globe. In some cases, the pool is mutually exclusive. For example, there aren’t any games for a 200/400 chip limit player to play on Kings - cuz $4/8 is the lowest stake.
But there is no game raked as low as swcpoker and more players that can be brought over and added to the pool at swcpoker than vice versa. We just need to get enough full ring mix games running simultaneously on swcpoker and the Kings players willl come. They don’t mind if badeucy is the most non-standard game and they definitely like the rake structure. They just need to see some traffic. There are opportunities and options available. WSOP is right around the corner and there is a 90+ table poker room about to open near me, insidethe most expensive casino in the country. If everybody at swcpoker tries their best, from management and admins and affiliates and players, and are incentivized to start a conversation w their neighbor at the table, opens up the mobile client and shows how easy it is to play and how low the rake is - adding another 100-500 BTC in liquidity to swcpoker over the summer shouldn’t be a problem.
Im not sure if trading krill for a player depositing 1-10 BTC is gonna do it necesssarily, but I have confidence in swcpoker based on the last few months of added traffic and the customer service/admins are down to earth, accessible, and smart. So hopefully something will get worked out prior to wsop.

March BIG BTC Results: ~
Congrats to the winners! Those are impressive prizes, from 0.025 to 0.275 BTC. I didn't take part because I wasn't lucky playing in satellites, and 0.01 BTC is too much to pay for a ticket for me, but I'm glad that at least two people I know(I had been playing with them on various occasions), tennis and JamieGold, have won those great prizes. It's good that many satellites to the next BIG BTC have been scheduled and are available for registration already. I hope to win in one of them and take part in the April's BIG BTC! Good luck to all the participants!

I've noticed quite a few awesome ideas thrown around in this thread and just want to chime in with two promotion ideas that I've seen work well for another (now defunct) online poker site in the past: Last Seal Standing: Players are tested on their endurance for 30 days for their chance to take home some extra BTC. The idea is that SwC Poker tracks the number of Krill players earn on a daily basis, and reward the most loyal/consistent players. To start out the promotion, all entered players will have to earn say 5 Krill per day, without missing a single day. As the days go by, the Krill requirement increases - 10 Krill per day, 25 Krill, 50 Krill, etc. If you cannot reach the Krill target, you are eliminated. Last Seal standing will be deemed the winner. Prizes can be handed out according to some sort of leaderboard. 1st Place - 50k Chips, 2nd Place - 25k Chips, 3rd Place - 10k Chips, etc. You can even have a freeroll exclusively for the top X finishers. If multiple Seals make it to the final day, then the Seal to accumulate the highest Krill on the final day of the promotion should be the winner. Krill King Freerolls: Host a freeroll every Sunday, but only allow players who generate 50+ Krill between 00:00 on Monday and 23:59 on Friday to register. But here is the catch, the more Krill you acquire throughout the week, the more chips you start with in the freeroll. Players who generate between 50 and 99 Krill throughout the week will start with 250 chips in the freeroll, 100 to 219 Krill will earn players 500 chips, 250 to 499 Krill will gain players 750 chips, and 500 to 999 Krill allow players to start with 1000 chips. Accumulate more than 1000 Krill to start the Krill King Freerolls with a unique stack relative to the number of Krill you've earned that week. The idea is that SwC's most profitable players should win most of these freerolls, but it still gives the smaller Seals a chance at a huge payout. Plus the PR from a min-stacker winning would be a nice story. Anyways, thanks for the taking the time to read this and enjoy the rest of your week everyone!

Great idea! I suggest the starting stack should be calculated as a square root of krill. 16 krill = 4 chips 50 krill = 7.07 chips 100 krill = 10 chips 500 krill = 22.36 chips 10000 krill = 100 chips etc. "Square Root Freeroll" - sounds good!

There's a severe flaw in the way the Call xxx (and Raise xxx) checkboxes are implemented when making your move prior to your turn. At least in the Windows client. For example I checked the "Call xxx" box when the current call was at 30 chips. A fraction of a second later the player on my immediate right raised to 105. The amount on the checkbox immediately changed to 105, left my check mark there and proceeded to call those 105 chips. Even if the raise on my right had happened a fraction of a second before I checked, it should have removed my checkmark and then either disabled the checkbox for a full second, or shifted it up or down so that my click would have landed on an empty space. The way it's currently implemented, those options are too dangerous to use.

These are great ideas, the team loves them. SwC will introduce "Fresh Krill" in the future, and the idea to have a freeroll with a chip stack that scales to "Fresh Krill" earned that week or month is an exciting idea.
We have given an April BIG BTC ticket to Betwrong because he seems very excited at the prospect of playing it.

I know this is mostly not liked by people who has been playing for a while and have a lot of krill plus budget right now on their bankroll but I had another idea that might help getting new customers.
Maybe a "zero btc bankroll" tourney? Like the freeroll where you pay nothing to enter but the requirement is to have zero bitcoins in your wallet, you will be either never played here or played but lost here, that way you can get zero bitcoin people to play more and even one of them will earn a small prize that they will continue to gamble.
The prize could be incredibly small, like maybe ten big blinds on the smallest cash table (I am not sure if its 0.05 chip or if there is any smaller) so it wouldn't even hurt you guys that much but would be great because people with a ton of money entering freerolls usually are players who are also good at poker and that zero bankroll would be great way to eliminate those players and actually have a amateur hour for us.

I'm going to have to disagree with you on this one. In my opinion, something like this would just entice players to either: a) Simply create a new account specifically for these freerolls b) Withdraw or transfer existing funds so that their bankroll now shows nothing. To be honest, I don't believe many players who are "good at poker" will be spending much time playing many (if any) freerolls, especially if they already have a "ton of money" in their cashier. We've all been there before, if there is money in our account, we're playing for money - not freerolls. Of course there are players who are exceptions to this, but I'm guessing the vast majority of us poker players share my logic SwC Poker already has a plethora of great freerolls to choose from in the lobby that can be found in the Tournaments -> Freerolls tab including: 1. Badeucy Freeroll [10 Chips] - Runs Daily 2. Short Deck NLH Freeroll [10 Chips] - Runs Daily 3. Big O Freeroll [10 Chips] - Runs Daily 4. The Bearctual Freeroll [200 Chips] (500+ Krill) - Runs Daily 5. Degenaments PLO8 [1000 Chips] 6. Bankroll Mob Bankroll Builder [5000 Chips] 7. ACl Grandmasters Satellite [1000 Chips]
