So, yesterday I took part in this long-awaited, The BIG BTC, tournament.

First time I checked the tournament status, 4 hours before the start, there were only 45 players registered, and I thought, "Okay, maybe 20 additional players will register, but hardly more than that". Well, I was pretty wrong about that. The total amount of registered players was 104 in the end, and the number of paid places was 15. Since it happened to me many times in the past that I finished in the top 10 with hundreds of participants, I thought this was going to be an easy one. But, nope, it was not to be. And the main reason for that is that most players were, like, super good. I was checking constantly for the krill wave of those who were sitting with me at one table, and I have an impression that I was the only New Seal in the whole tournament. There were Floundering Seals, Adult Seals, Tricky Seals, Journeyman Seals and so on.

No wonder I lost to those great players and finished on 77th place (now I'm proud that I lasted so long). Below is the screenshot of my final showdown:

But I really enjoyed the game, and I'm grateful to SwC Poker for crediting my account with 1 BIG BTC April Ticket. I was playing together with my wife, and it had been fun.

Thank you, SwC Poker!

Hi, its been a long time since I play this back in the few years but I never have any really good experience before. So I would like to see if later I can get a good thing from this freeroll. But I was wondering about the freeroll, why is there portected by any password? Is this some private room  with some requirement? I thought it is freeroll so anyone can register freely. And about the prizes is it all converted in chips?

And I tried to login it again today but it saod my password is wrong. I do not know what happened here after I make sure the password that I enter is right one

Hello and thank you for checking SwC Poker again. Freeroll tournaments run 24/7 on the :30's of every hour, all players can participate in as many as they wish. You will find other freerolls on the site, some of them are affiliate-funded and restricted only to players from that affiliate, some are for streamers and you have to watch the stream to get the password, and others are based on krill amount.

For your account, you will need to do a password reset if you have never logged in to the Bitcoin Poker 3.0 platform that we launched in Nov. 2018. Do the reset by choosing a client, clicking 'login,' then clicking 'forgot password' If you need further help support at swcpoker dot com is our support channel.

So you are saying that on each freerolls tournament there is always on streamer, based on krill amount and get it from affiliates program, others than that you need to play it by depositing your money just to test the site? Is there a way just to test the site after a very long sleep here? There must be a way to test the site back right even if it is for an old player here? Grin

Nope, I just created my account a few days before I started to play, but when I want to login to my account using the new id, then I can't login and it keeps on saying that my password is incorrect here. Is there something wrong on the site or it is just me?

The Bad Beat Jackpot is now at a record high.

There are a bunch of full tables running, and if you don't want to wait on the list it should be pretty easy now to start a new table and have it fill.

SwC Poker is at a tipping point in current traffic levels. Site traffic and account creation is steadily increasing, and the average number of players on the site continues to slowly rise. There are often many players waiting to play if their game type in acceptable stakes is going. If you want to help the site, please start tables and sit at multiple variants you would play. SwC has never employed or used any "shills" or "bots" to make games go. 100% of the play on SwC is organic. Telling your friends about our record level bad beat jackpot, low rake, and fast cashouts is a great way to help the site too.

Thank you to our loyal players, we continue to work hard on our software and the promotion of the site.

I'm one of the people who starts games of any game type.
First of all, yes if you want games to run your best bet is to just seed them yourself. But, atleast in cashgames, I understand why other people don't. There's absolutely no incentive to do so.

Here's my perspective on it:

Often times, I still get little action when I play on my main account. It's mostly regs who start games and most regs on this site know each other and avoid each other. There are some I avoid and there's a whole bunch who avoid me (and will only sit if a massive fish joins me.. why would I not seed HU and keep them for myself?).

When I do get action, it's 95% baby seals or new seals and they seem to join in pairs. First of all, if it's disguised regs they instantly have the advantage of knowing who I am when I don't know them. When they are not, I always have to suspect they are. And I'm not a very paranoid person but when they turn up in pairs, you immediately have your eyes out for potential collusion or the same person joining twice.
A question I would like answered is: Do you monitor all your games for suspicious behaviour or exclusively cases brought up to you by players?

In short: It's not a great experience with a lot of pitfalls.

Lets make this clear: We players are not responsible for making your site successful, we are paying you rake so you can do it! We are there to have fun and, hopefully, make some money. If you want more action and consequently more rake, you'll have to incentivize players beyond the status quo if you want said status quo to change. This is not on us!

Thank you for the response SkyReVo. The statement was made to encourage players that want to help grow SwC to sit at the stakes and games they wish to play because the site now has enough traffic that games often fill quickly. For instance with our increased traffic there may be 5 players with the lobby open and willing to play a specific game and stakes, if just one of them sits a 5 handed game will quickly get started. We also made the statement so players understand that SwC does not employ 'props' or 'shills' to start games, as we have been approached by multiple players who claim to have a deal like this with another site.

Our status quo of low rake, fair games, and fast cashouts is what we offer today, with a cool new leaderboard promotion around the corner. The coming months will be spent improving the software, adding lightning network, and building cool features that players may remember from older SwC versions. Any help from our loyal players is appreciated.

If you want to encourage people to seed their favourite games.. make a "favourite table" function, where you can add all the tables you like to play and then get them in a single tab.

try not to think about it like u pay rake so they need to serve u.  they offer the lowest rake and that's how they pay u back.

other sites charge 3 times the rake when u factor everything in.

i have not encountered any suspicious play yet.  if two people happen to join at the same time i hope they are quick skype typers..

but have not encountered that yet.  and if one of the two colluders actually has sound abc poker strategy they are putting their account at risk by cheating.  why not win fair and square if you have the skill?

my next video will be against a random headsup opponent at an 8 handed bigO table.   There's so much uncertainty in headsup and i want to try to teach people how to deal with it at the small stakes and to not be scared to start a table of your favorite game.  next video after than will be headsup triple draw.

im not phil galfond or doug polk.  just experienced and willing to teach and start games to help grow the site cause i like it and they are truly giving all players a good price point to play poker.

and watch my dumb video thanks!

SwC Poker actively monitors collusion in multiple ways. We do not discuss our methods, and we are building more tools over time to improve them. SwC Poker handles collusion incidents at management's discretion. If you choose to play at SwC Poker, you choose to accept that rule.

SwC Poker is committed to keeping our bitcoin poker room a fair and player friendly place to play.

^  Time to grind again.  Wink

What do the new owners SWC think of Pokerstars' closed source RNG and having only a trusted third party having a look at it and 'auditing' it?  Wouldn't it be better for the RNG to be open source and to be openly scrutinized by everybody?

I know I've said it before but:

Please, the first thing that should be worked on is an ACTIVE tab where only tables that are actively played (players >1, hands/h > 0) are shown. And your action bot should automatically send message: "New active table started: -table name-"

I guarantee you the games will fill more frequently, quickly, run longer and generate a lot more rake as a consequence.

It is incredibly hard to start games on your site, unproportionally harder than on other sites with similar player numbers, and it's not because people don't want to play. It's this:
