Lots of people received $25 giveaway that paid in Stellar. Some of them might use their Stellar coins to bet, if there are places to bet. Therefore, I suggest to consider adding Stellar as the first altcoin accepted on SwCPoker.  In addition, fees of transactions on Stellar network is cheap, that this another advantageous feature of Stellar that likely attractive to gamblers.

SwC gets this request often. Stellar bch ltc xmr eth are often requested. We will bring multiple coins for deposits into the game in the future. base currency for play will remain bitcoin.

I hope you implement this soon. Some people like me do not want to gamble my bitcoin but are willing to gamble with other currencies like stellar and Eth.

It would also hurt the brand. SwC shitcoin poker.

Because fees do not have to be higher at all?

I see absolutely no harm in integrating a simple tool, ie. such as Shapeshift, that allows altcoin deposits. SwC would still remain 100% bitcoin poker and could increase their revenue from poker (+ potential affiliate share of exchange fees). Unfortunately Shapeshift now requires id verification and I'm not aware of any worthy alternatives.

Your points.
1. Bitcoin withdrawals are now paid by SwC so thats free. And lightning will be far cheaper (free as well most likely).
2. How did they buy shitcoins without an shitcoin exchange? If you got shitcoins at blockchain.info or earn.com (coinbase) you allready got an account.
3. Sure fees is an issue, but it will cost more in convertion (bad exchange rate) then btc fee for amounts above $20. Lightning will solve this.

5. Your only valid point. But in reality, who really use altcoins for anything? And how many people are willing to pay more to be able to spend some other coin?

Personally, I am worried about the "no banking" part of their credo. But if they figure something out, I don't see the issue with it (althought I am surprised these Bitcoin maximalists would go for it tbh). I mean, you don't HAVE to use it anyways.

I, however, do not think it will significantly improve liquidity on the site.

1- SwC accepts fiat deposits
2- bank freezes/seizes their funds (ie because of different interpretations of laws etc)
3- SwC ends up owing money to players, has to halt/limit withdrawals, losing players/trust etc.

It's not just about preferences, it's more about operational risk.

OFC tables have been removed while we fix an issue that caused them to freeze during certain behavior. For other coins, we are still deciding. Lightning network will come first.

I disagree, new coins seem a lot more important than lightning network in my own opinion.

I mean its of course a priority that the payments should be made much faster and cheaper I can understand that, however adding erc20 token system would be awesome, if I could send money from my metamask wallet to swc poker then I can promise you I will play a lot more here.

Not that it is a thing that keeps me from playing, I still come here and play almost every weekend (unless wife finds something she wants to go and takes me with her ) but normally SwC is the PERFECT weekend entertainment plus its really good on ipads as well so I am having great fun and not having ethereum doesn't stop me, yet I would play a lot more frequently if that was an option as well since depositing requires my PC whereas I could deposit from ipad if it was ethereum too.

Agreed with @redsun114. Other altcoins automatically provides faster and cheaper fees for gamblers when they move their funds in and out of SwCPoker. Most of altcoins from newest generation have very fast transaction speed and cheap transaction fees. Lightning network is good, but if the site can prioritise to diversify its in-out gates and options for gamblers (with new altcoins), that is better, IMO. Furthermore, altcoin less likely witness network congestion.

Update: affiliate reporting system was down for about 12 hours hours but is now up. this did not effect connection of players, only reporting. it is now fixed and working normal. ofc tables will remain down for at least some more days while we fix issues that made the table stuck. we will bring back ofc when the next release candidate works to our satisfaction.

3. SWCpoker is not opened in 2018, 2018 is just the new version/update to 3.0 of SWCpoker. I'm not quite sure when it was opened for the first time but it can be earlier than other sites as they were formerly known as Sealswithclub.

I was about to ask the same thing. Glad you will be implementing those.
I also would like to suggest for Ripple as it's one of the current top 5 coins based on Market Cap and it's becoming more known and used by investors.

Also do you have an estimated time of arrival for such introductions? Would love to hear more about them.

Those altcoins are very helpful in cases bitcoin network has too many unconfirmed transactions, that result in higher fees for each transaction and transaction fees usually increase much higher than normal fees. Ripple is another good altcoin, should be added to SwCPoker site when the team have time to code something and upgrade network to add new coins. Another coin is Dogecoin, that is also one of basic coins on casinos.

Short answer: no. There's no guaranteed benefit. Although referrers can decide to send you a tip as a gesture of appreciation, they're also able to organise special, private tournaments for their referees etc.

What kind of benefits would you like to see? Free chips?

Guys, when's the ETA for the code refactor?  It's badly needed imo.  I don't see some tables in the lobby and I constantly get my auto blinds unchecked.  It's tilting.

It also cascades my tables, fixed it by saving current table layout.
