For .5 btc you do know bitcoin is 650+ USD that is pretty expensive for any trader bot.

I've been following this thread for quite some time, but always been too hesitant to buy. A few questions:

Is the current 25% off advertise already factored into the prices shown, or will it be 25% off of that?
What single market do people use most? Poloniex?
What is average ROI and how much principle BTC is recommended for trading?

Thanks!

For .5 btc you do know bitcoin is 650+ USD that is pretty expensive for any trader bot.

Personally i'm not interested in USD/BTC change value. In fact my price is expressed as BTC. And 0.5 BTC (that is the core price) is always 0.5 BTC.
Same logic is applied on your potential gain : if you are able to make 1 BTC Gain when price was 60 USD you're still able to make 1 BTC gain when price is 600 USD.
My Referral program is always 0.1 BTC/REF, i haven't change anything  Wink

Another thing to consider is that the price is the result of demand/offer. And if i'm still able to sell CAT at 0.5 is because there's a lot of demand.

But i understand the fact that many people think in Fiat value. For that reason i'm actually giving a 25% Discount over a copy purchase.
After the halving i will calculate a new price list.

Hi,
25% must be applied on the total value.
If you wants CAT + Poloniex you will have 0.5 + 0.15 = 0.65 - 25% = 0.4875

After Cryptsy deception Poloniex is the most used exchange.

You can trade with any amount, but if you trade with 0.1 BTC you can't have a fast ROI.
Of course if you trade with 5-10 BTC you can ROI FAST.

BUT, any person must understand that a good bot is something that allows you to create your strategy, and not a magic money machine.
Se if you create a terrible algorithm, you will loose money.
And i like to be very clear on this aspect : never believe someone who tells you that with his bot you can press 2 button then go to sleep and check your gain next morning

Oh I see, so the .5 BTC base price gets you all the "Free" markets, and you must pay a premium to get Poloniex and others? Is there any deal to buy the program for just a single exchange? Like, for example, just for Yobit?

The be more precise :

0.5 BTC is the core.
And of course you must add at least 1 api (otherwise CAT could not work).
You can choose any combination, some APi are free some others have a costs.

If you want CAT + Yobit total is 0.5 (Core)
If you want CAT + Yobit + Poloniex + Bittrex + Cryptopia + C-CEX total is 0.5 (Core) + 0.15 (Polo) + 0.15 (Bittrex), others are FREE

Sorry, are you a CAT customer?  Smiley

I have considered it multiple times. I often expand into more exchanges offered, and have not taken the plunge

quote defcoin ==== LOL... oh no, the coin is dead cause $DEV doesn't live on BCT! When will you people learn that everything on here is completely irrelevant next to useless. Devs need to stop using it all together, only then can crypto begin to flourish. It's such a shame that people consider this shit hole to be the pinnacle of information when it comes to developments. I don't blame $DEV for not coming on here, and frankly I am embarrassed that I even check BCT myself.

Just wanted to stop by and say I'm still a happy customer.  Many happy gains here Smiley

I've been a CAT user from before the official release.  The initial .5 BTC was nowhere near the ~$330 USD at that time but I can assure you that I've made that back.  Finding highly active markets with a good margin is key. Also know when to get out ... Smiley

It's been a great investment.... and a lot of fun.

I reckon most would be more interested in a more intelligent single Exchange (Bittrex) auto-trade functions more than arb across exchanges.
But yeah, I won't complain whichever comes first. Grin

Agreed.

█ After filling the BUY side of a ping pong order the Bot will not SELL until e.g. 1% Gain is achieved on the price if e.g. the price does not reach that level within e.g. 60 minutes, the Bot will SELL at e.g. 1 satoshis below the top ask. I would suggest implementing this before anything else, I got this idea from the Cryptsy.Automated.Trading bot.

Hi All,
I noticed this comment on another thread (above).

I have long wanted to do this (Assign min gain ONLY for x number of minutes - then switch no min gain, or -100%, etc and be willing to take a loss on the ping-pong) in CAT.

Where is this member Gift seeing this function in CAT? I don't think it exists? It would be great if Sampey added so I don't have to fix my "stuck" orders every few hours where market moved a lot and bot didn't stay with it Smiley

The Time Condition is one of the feature i would like to add.
Actually there's no condition like this one.

If you like to suggest me what kind of parameters i could add in a new tab like "Time Conditions" i will consider it  Wink

If you like to suggest me what kind of parameters i could add in a new tab like "Time Conditions" i will consider it  Wink

I would like an equivalent of the Trailing Stop on Bitfinex: Until your executed Ping keeps gaining let it go, and then Pong when the price starts retracing of a given value. (or just add a Trailing stop order on Finex)

Another one would be based on the 10-21 EMA crossings, but I already told you that.

Actually CAT doesn't calculate indices like EMA. Not sure that values have any meanings in the crypto world....

Trailing Stop

A stop order that can be set to execute once the market goes against you by a defined price, called the price difference. Trailing–stop sell orders are used to maximize and protect profit as a stock's price rises and limit losses when its price falls.

Ex: Current market price is $250 after a quick rise from $225, I can set a trailing stop with a $5 price difference. If the market reaches $245 my order will be executed.

However, if the price continues to rise to $275, for example, instead of reversing to $245, the order would then be executed at $270. The stop price trails behind the market price by the amount specified as price difference.

Actually CAT doesn't calculate indices like EMA. Not sure that values have any meanings in the crypto world....

Once upon a time there was a free bot to trade on Mtgox just according that strategy. I used it and worked. It was a chrome extension.

These kinds of changes requires a lot of code changes inside the Ping-Pong routine.
I need to add attribute at single market order.
Sometimes request are partial (and usually simple to explain but hard to code), so i need to understand what to do in many cases (A new attribute must works together with all the others).
and the most important thing is that some request are asked from 1 only person. So i can't start code for only 1 person.

You don't need to hope.
If a feature doesn't come in play it's because i choose to not add. Like Kraken exchange.
Don't forget that you're allowed to sell your cat copy if you're not satisfied with product or customers support.

Thanks

PS : I spend my last 5 "hours-coding" to fix your 100+ Market Opens problem, but i'm sure you won't tell nothing about that when i'll release the new cat copy.
