You do not need to react on market movements if you are a holder. If the price is going down, you are buying more to make a better middle price and if it goes up, you are selling some of your coins to get some profit.

You made a valid point, what make people lose money is cryptocurrency is panic selling. Hold your coins and buy more when they price drops to sell at any slight pump. Crypto is all about patience and determination, don't just dump your assets at any slight dump of price, you will end up in loss if you do that.

Every holders has a different hope and mindsets but i can say hope for them are getting bright as the market of crypto has been rising and even its slowly it makes an impact for holders,it gives them hope that the coins they hold will give them a good value of money so as they hold it considered as long time investments so they can make short time investments also to make more profits.

I think that it is a great strategy to hold a coin for some time, to see where it goes. With top coins like btc, or eth in my opinion - they are going to rise soon, maybe even this year, so why don't hold them for some time. True, because if it's just a normal volatility that makes the price to drop, you can expect that it will rise again .
The reason why we should be aware of any news or information in a certain coin we invest, so we can get out if there's something really serious news that will happen, when people are dumping price could easily dump and might become worthless.

I experience holding one coin that I think could give me great return, I was in a profit if I sold but I waited too long until it become a bad coin and price dump hard and until now I'm still holding it.

Like I always say, holders only lose when they sell cheaper than the price they bought a coin for. So when price dip what should be on your mind is to keep holding and not selling them yet. If you have to sell, at least set a high sell order to give you profits
