My assumption is that the issues between BCB and some of the senior players are having a huge impact on the team morale. Latest news is that the BCB is not allowing Shakib al Hasan to participate in the IPL. I don't know whether this is true or not. But in case it is true, then it can be very demoralizing. After all, for a player of the calibre of Shakib, IPL can be the most important revenue generator. And it's not like he's ignoring the national duty. He is making himself available all the time.

The problem is not about leadership, it is about finding young talents who could perform in fast pitches and they need to search for genuine fast bowlers if they need to start winning outside the subcontinent. The team usually win matches with the help of their spinners and once the pitch is not assisting them they start to struggle and that is evident from the series and obviously they need to improve tremendously in their fielding department as well.

This is one tour that Bangladesh will want to forget as it was a very poor performance in all formats of the game. We all know that New Zealand is a top team but I didn't expect to see Bangladesh play so poorly. They lost every match and not only that they were beaten badly in every match which I didn't expect to see, I would of thought they would at least challenge New Zealand in a couple of matches but nothing. Its like watching the Bangladesh teams from when they first came into International cricket, that's how poorly they played on this tour. Lets hope they can bounce back and start playing some good cricket again.

BCB's drama cost him couple of hundred thousands bucks in the auction, only due to this confusion no franchise went hard for him as no one was sure about his availability for full IPL. The very next day of auction BCB issued a statement that Shakib can play the IPL for full season.

As per the revised calendar, now there is an ICC event almost every year. On top of that, there are bilateral series. So viewer fatigue will be there. I agree that IPL is a revenue generating event. But BCCI should not go for the overkill.

I guess by next IPL they will increase it to 120 days 

Too much of T20 this year and with 90 days of IPL, half of the year will be over. BCCI will do anything to increase their revenue but with the third wave of COVID19 hitting India is it practical to have 90 days schedule. Just imagine how players will cope up with the bio bubble for those 90 days. This is too much for players and if some players get frustrated with the bio bubble then this IPL will become will be over in no time.

IPL will be the first priority for BCCI over any other tournaments because this is bring lot of profits to them over any other cricket boards so there will be no wonder even if they increase the time schedule but they may not doing it until the pandemic over because they may loss their revenue because of no spectators and less sponsorship compared to previous years.

Indeed, some players have faced difficulties with BCB. Recently few senior players have revealed the behaviour of BCB, which is harsh. But Shakib Al Hasan got his pass to play in the IPL. He has also prepared himself to give his best performance in the IPL. Currently he is having quarantine time with his teammates at a hotel in Mumbai. Hope that his team KKR will have a good achievement in this IPL event.

I do think that it is over kill as we are seeing a lot of franchise tournaments across the globe and these are killing international cricket as i do not care about watching other series and even though the competition in the IPL is really good right now and an increase in the team means the talents that are available right now will be spread to more teams.

I agree, Bangladesh performance was appalling - massive shock to most of us I guess. It also seemed to me that the dynamic of the team just wasn't there, the spirit was low and while they were pushing they just didn't have a change against New Zealand that came in prepared. It was surprising to see this coming from Bangladesh, but yh, they need to pull back and get into it, otherwise this will lose them many fans, and would lose their ranking.

The simple fact is that franchise cricket is bringing in more revenues to the cricket board, when compared to the matches involving national team. There is no doubt that franchise cricket is the future and in this case cricket will resemble more like football in the long run. Two and half months sounds like a lot and that too for a tournament that occurs every year. If that is the case, then the BCCI needs to cut down on the commitments of the national team.

Seems more like speculation. I think BCCI would not prefer this route, they can't be that retarted. let's see what happens.

I'm fed up with Sri vs Ind bilateral series tbh. Every time Indian team is free BCCI schedule one more series.

Thats really a bad news to hear and also cricbuzz reported that someone from CSK also tested positive but the name was not mentioned by the CEO of CSK franchise but he assures that no one was in contact and also the person was indifferent floor from other players. I hope the tournament will go on but BCCI should consider shifting the matches from Wankhede stadium because it is in the state more than 60% of total cases reported in India.
