I saw that Pollard came just yesterday to join with the team after quarantine that is probably one of the reason but in general he is one of the deadliest current batsmen in the death overs especially in T20 format.

Nail biting last moments in the final over, I thought everything over when ABD got run out bat Harshal managed to get some runs with his bats and ensured their win in the last ball of the match and this is the first time ever RCB winning an opener since the IPL.

But MI made a great comeback, even their worst day is not going to let the opponent team to take the win so easily.

The first match lived up to the expectations of the uncertainty of the IPL, when ABD got out i though Mumbai Indians will pull this match but in the end RCB somehow manage to win the match. Mumbai showed that they have the bowlers to trouble any team and RCB has shown signs of breaking down in the end even though they were in a good position at one point.

RCB has made it. The interesting part of the match is the final over without a four/six. Each ball got run to RCB and that is the success. RCB has started with a win and MI lost its first match. Both teams equally strong in performance based on today's match, because both teams are playing away from the home ground.

Both teams are equal in all fields as they have good power hitters good bowlers and batsmen but usually RCB chocks in middle of tournament and MI will fight back because have history of good fights after struggling in early matches and RCB is going completely opposite of this but this time they have good start from star players specially Maxwell. Trent Boult is a very good bowler, but he is extremely unsuitable for the depth overs. He concedes way too many runs and can't get his variations right. This has happened again and again during the IPL. Mumbai Indians should bowl him out before the last powerplay. Boult conceded 15 runs in the 18th over, and that was the turning point (and this happened when Kyle Jamieson was batting with AB de Villiers). And more importantly, he conceded a single of his last bowl, which allowed de Villiers to keep strike. Before that over, 34 runs were needed from 3 overs with only tail enders giving company to de Villiers.

This is the weak point of their team.

Their bowlers are failing to perform as expected. If South African bowlers can't take 2 wickets of Pakistan before 8 overs then I think Pakistan will win this match.

There is fall of wicket at specific interval, but the players are somehow making contribution to the score. Two wickets fell off initially, and Moen Ali and Raina gave a good start. After the wicket of Moen Ali Ambati Rayudu have come to partner with Raina. Now both are maintaining the partnership scoring 117-3 end of the over 13. Raina have taken his 50 runs.

At one time Proteas were heading towards sweet 200+ score but in the end they wasted 3 death overs (17,18,19th) and hardly scored 18 runs. Pakistan lost their 2nd wicket but still they are very much in control, considering Rizwan still batting nicely.
