Expecting competitive wicket (spin) for the 1st game, would be great if its average scoring game but if its road then 200+ score is on the cards for sure and both teams got some fine power hitters in the middle order (Pandaya, Pollard, AB, Maxwell). My money on RCB.

As I predicted the pitch looks flat and MI had a great start but after 12 overs RCB made good comeback.with back to back wickets. At one point MI looks to reach 200 with no worries but now scored 152/5 and still 9 balls left in their innings.

The only bad thing is Pollard is on the crease...

Absolutely brilliant bowling by RCB. Harshal Patel took five wickets and become first bowler in IPL history. RCB bowlers taking 4 wickets in last over, some extraordinary bowling displayed. It turns RCB batsmen, how they will manage 160 runs. Let's see.

Unbelievable last over by Harshal towards the end. Just 1 run and 3-4 wickets is phenomenal and a rare occurrence in the world of Cricket. RCB dropped a couple of catches and still managed to screw MI towards the end.

MI will have to bowl really well to defend such an average target against a powerful RCB batting line-up.

I saw that Pollard came just yesterday to join with the team after quarantine that is probably one of the reason but in general he is one of the deadliest current batsmen in the death overs especially in T20 format.

Good to see that RCB playing good second innings as well and Maxwell is scoring runs with no hurries can he do this throughout the season?

Nail biting last moments in the final over, I thought everything over when ABD got run out bat Harshal managed to get some runs with his bats and ensured their win in the last ball of the match and this is the first time ever RCB winning an opener since the IPL.

But MI made a great comeback, even their worst day is not going to let the opponent team to take the win so easily.

The first match lived up to the expectations of the uncertainty of the IPL, when ABD got out i though Mumbai Indians will pull this match but in the end RCB somehow manage to win the match. Mumbai showed that they have the bowlers to trouble any team and RCB has shown signs of breaking down in the end even though they were in a good position at one point.

RCB has made it. The interesting part of the match is the final over without a four/six. Each ball got run to RCB and that is the success. RCB has started with a win and MI lost its first match. Both teams equally strong in performance based on today's match, because both teams are playing away from the home ground.

Still would have lost the match, if not for the cameo by AB de Villiers towards the end.

Trent Boult is a very good bowler, but he is extremely unsuitable for the depth overs. He concedes way too many runs and can't get his variations right. This has happened again and again during the IPL. Mumbai Indians should bowl him out before the last powerplay. Boult conceded 15 runs in the 18th over, and that was the turning point (and this happened when Kyle Jamieson was batting with AB de Villiers). And more importantly, he conceded a single of his last bowl, which allowed de Villiers to keep strike. Before that over, 34 runs were needed from 3 overs with only tail enders giving company to de Villiers.

Yeah, Trent Boult is a very good bowler, there is no doubt about it. But he is not as specialist as Bhumrah. More experienced bowlers are needed to bowl in depth overs. Boult is not that much-experienced bowler. We have seen before that he bowled in depth overs and gave many runs. Mumbai Indians need another bowler with Bumrah to bowl in depth overs. This is the weak point of their team.

Bad start for CSK they have lost 3 wickets and after the end of the 10th over they have scored 80 runs. Suresh Raina needs to stick to the wicket for at least the next 5 overs, he is a good rotator of the strike and could easily increase the present run rate. Still, DC is the favorite for this match.

Pakistan is battling for a target of189 runs. They scored 41 runs in 4.3 overs. Even if the South African batsmen play well enough, it doesn't look like they will win. Their bowlers are failing to perform as expected. If South African bowlers can't take 2 wickets of Pakistan before 8 overs then I think Pakistan will win this match.
