I think Chennai will win today if they can collect more than 170 runs.

Even i think like that because Mumbai always struggle with their batting and their par score is around 150 runs and they win because they have some of the best bowlers in the world and they usually put pressure on the batsman by picking wickets at regular intervals but Chennai had a good start and Moeen Ali and Faf du Plessis are playing aggressive cricket and they is punishing all the loose balls over the rope and if they go at this pace they will easily score above 170 runs.

Absolutely brilliant batting by CSK batsman. In the first half Faf du Plessis and Moeen and then Rayudu great batting display takes Chennai Super Kings to 218, which is massive total and hard to penetrate for any team. MI failed badly maintain sensible bowling attack, their best bowlers Jasprit Bumrah turn out most costly. At the moment, MI batsman Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock on the pitch. They are playing flawlessly and manage 68 runs after 7 overs.

Chennai needs to break this partnership if they need to win the match but things are getting closer as Mumbai need 50 runs from 23 runs and with the way Kieron Pollard is striking they can still chase the score.

Sam Curran bowled an outstanding over as he gave away just 2 runs and took the wicket of Krunal Pandya and Mumbai still need 48 runs from the last 3 overs and they need to smash every ball and the match is really interesting at this point. MSD picked Lungi Ngidi to bowl the last over and it was a disaster as he was giving full toss after full toss and Kieron Pollard accepted them without hesitation and he took Mumbai to victory. This was one of the best chases i have seen in a long time and there were some dropped catches as well during crucial situations as Kieron Pollard got a life which was disaster for Chennai.

The mammoth totally is being stolen by the mammoth Kieron Pollard. Look at his confidence at the end over, he waited for the right ball. Also end over should've been bowled better by Lungi Ngidi. The first ball is a dot as Pollard didn't run. Second ball is a good yorker and it went for four, rest all were fulltoss. He took those balls easier. The pressure over the bowler were clearly felt in this innings.

Pollard is being really a nightmare for CSK for more than a decade now and still he wins the matches against them, its a complete entertainer at the end because the match went till the last ball, I am worried when faf dropped that pollard's catch which can win the match for CSK. Anyway CSK is still at the first position at the end of half of the tournament but I expect the change in those order in the coming days due to the change of venues.

The odds for Mumbai to win was above 4 even when the openers were batting well and i thought about placing a bet on CSK but the odds were not that great and hence i backed out and thinking now i was lucky that i did not place a bet and i never thought that Mumbai could win the match as they always struggle to put runs on the board this season but they changed everything in this game and this was by far the best match this season.

I don't know what happened to the CSK, and it would have been devastating for them to lose the match, despite putting up such a huge total. But there was not much Dhoni could do, with Pollard going absolutely insane. Apart from Sam Curran, all of the CSK bowlers failed in the final overs. Perhaps Dhoni could have kept Deepak Chahar for one over in the end, rather than bowling him out. But I don't know whether he could have made a difference.

CSK failed in its bowling, and there were few misfields and drops that has cost big upon the end. Pollard had his best and most devastating innings this season. No one could have imagined that Mumbai Indians could win this match. An unbeaten 87 runs off 34 balls was a truly unbelievable innings. A very dramatic match. Pollard may be back in form, we will see great batting in future matches.

They fired David Warner and made Kane Williamson the captain. First of all, they need to understand that the problem lies with the team composition. Their middle order and pace bowling lineups are in very poor shape and that is the reason why they are losing matches. Now blaming David Warner for these defeats serve no purpose. They are sticking with the same pace bowling lineup, despite repeated failures. Rather than including Mohammad Nabi, they should have gone for Mujeeb Ur Rahman for this match. Also, Basil Thampi deserves a chance in the place of Sandeep Sharma or Khaleel Ahmed.

They are stuck with a few useless players, who are essentially good for nothing. Here is a list to start with:

1. Vijay Shankar
2. Kedar Jadhav
3. Sandeep Sharma
4. Abdul Samad
5. Abhishek Sharma
6. Shahbaz Nadeem
7. Siddarth Kaul
8. Khaleel Ahmed

Essentially they are playing with 5 or 6 good players instead of 11, and that can be a big handicap in IPL. The injury for Natarajan was like a nail on their coffin, as he was one of the few quality local pacers they had. And firing David Warner was a horrible move and it could have a bad impact on the team morale for the remaining matches.

Yes, I was I never expected them to go beyond 150. This is simply unbelievable they scored more than 200. All credit goes to butler, what an amazing innings. RR already had the psychological advantage with the massive score. It was clearly evident with SRH batting.
