What a great innings by Scottish batsmen! Scotland's players have done an amazing performance. I think 176 runs is a decent target to win. I didn't think they would make such a big collection. Scotland was only 73 runs in the first 10 overs. I thought Scotland would end the innings by 150. Michale Jones's outstanding batting resulted in a huge target of 177 for Scotland. Jones got out after collecting 86 runs off 55 balls.
Ireland's main weakness is their lack of a bowling line-up. They don't know which bowler to use at which time. Ireland used 7 bowlers in today's match. Apart from Curtis Campher, I have not liked the performance of any bowler.

My guess was wrong. I thought Scotland would win if they put up more than 160. But even after giving a target of 177 runs. They didn't win. Ireland's players collected 85 runs in 12 overs. However, Campher and Dockrell's 119-run stand meant Ireland had no trouble winning the match. They scored 80 runs in 13-17 overs and won. Campher scored 72 runs off just 32 balls. His performance impressed everyone. Ireland could have won easily if they had performed like this against Zimbabwe in the first match.

I didn't like West Indies' batting in today's match. They gave a target of 154 runs. However, the West Indies team was able to win the match due to the controlled bowling of the bowlers.

So far all the teams have played two matches each, and among them only Netherlands has remained unbeaten. And even they had a very close match against the United Arab Emirates.

Every match performance so far has surprised us. To be honest, I was not familiar with the Namibian team. Namibia's win against Sri Lanka really surprised me. Secondly, Scotland has some talented players in its batting line-up. However, the performance of their bowlers is poor. However, they performed well against West Indies. I wouldn't be at all surprised if West Indies and Sri Lanka fail to qualify for the main stage of the World Cup. Because teams like Netherlands, Scotland, Zimbabwe are able to perform very well.

West Indies and Sri Lanka may still manage to qualify to the Super-12. But the main target for the associate nations would be to finish among the top two in the respective groups. Their future in international cricket depends a lot on whether they manage to qualify or not. Take Namibia and Scotland for example. They received extra funding after their qualification to the Super-12 during the T20 World Cup of 2021. And this funding in turn is reflected in their performance in this edition of the world cup. And if they fail to qualify, then once again it will push back the cricket in these two countries by a few decades.

It was a big disappointment for one team but it was an incredible win for the other team. When Scotland scored 176 runs in the first innings, everyone would have thought that Scotland will win this match easily. Those gamblers who placed bets during the match would have placed heavy bets on Scotland. To everyone's surprise, Ireland chase down this target with only four wickets down and won the match. Curtis Campher was the main highlight of this chase who scored 72 runs in only 32 balls and turned the game on for Ireland.

By seeing these small teams' performances in the T20 world cup, I can predict that we may see very tough matches when the top teams from Group A and Group B will play with the major teams of the tournament.
