LOL! I was expecting Srilankan batters to set a target of 180+ when I saw the opening pair going after the bowlers. Pathum Nissanka suddenly started hammering the bowlers and all credits to him Srilanka had a great advantage in the early overs.

They never utilised it and in the death overs they got destroyed by the English bowling. I somehow was expecting the Srilankan batters to die down in the middle to lower batting order as it has been proved in this world cup. I somehow was expecting another big upset but the English side was too good. 

Today game was important only for Aus and England. Srilanka has nothing in today's game as they have to fly back to Srilanka after today's game. Two big teams aka Australia and Pakistan are out in first stage of this WC. In my opinion NZ and SA are favorite but SA are known to be chokers.

This happens alot in T20I matches once players loose their momentum and their big partnership breaks than they can't make a good target. In these matches all players have to play attentively and make quick runs there is no balls and time to loose in T20 matches. Same thing happened with sirlanka today They started very well and at that time it looked like they'll give a big target but back to back fall of wickets create alot of pressure on batsman.

The performance of first 5 overs and last 5 overs in T20 matches is very important. In the first 5 overs, the players have to try to score runs by staying at the crease. If the top order plays well, it becomes a big collection time in the match. And the last 5 overs are more important. It is very important to score at least 50 runs in the last 5 overs. And the big teams in T20 format like India, and Australia always bat well in the last 5 overs. If Sri Lanka could have collected like 160 in today's match then they could have fought. I think the match was completely one-sided after giving a target of just 142 runs. It is difficult to stop England team in 141.

I am waiting to watch Bangladesh vs Pakistan match. However, in general, Pakistan seems to be stronger in this match. But I saw Bangladesh's excellent performance against India. Bangladesh played very well. I think the Bangladesh team will win against Pakistan if they are able to continue this streak. But it will be difficult for the Bangladeshi batsmen to deal with the Pakistani pace bowlers.

I am waiting to watch Bangladesh vs Pakistan match. However, in general, Pakistan seems to be stronger in this match. But I saw Bangladesh's excellent performance against India. Bangladesh played very well. I think the Bangladesh team will win against Pakistan if they are able to continue this streak. But it will be difficult for the Bangladeshi batsmen to deal with the Pakistani pace bowlers.

Pakistan's bowling attack is very strong so Bangladesh must be on alert and try to play a good competitive match. Bangladesh played very well against India especially Liton Kumar Das's innings was very good. So Pakistan will definitely take Bangladesh as a strong opponent here as both sides will try to win this match. Pakistan's Haris Rauf is doing amazing bowling in this tournament. On the other hand, Bangladesh's Taskin Ahmed is also bowling brilliantly and is one of the best wicket takers in this World Cup. So expect to see an exciting match tomorrow.

Also to me, he looks like solid captain material. Saw him taking charge of field setting and taking decisions so many times and that too in crucial moments.

Why do they need a new captain now, when Babar Azam is doing such a good job? He is still in his 20s, and therefore the slot for Pakistan captain will be fixed for the next decade or so. And moreover, he is the backbone for Pakistan in all the three formats of the game.

I was merely pointing out that Shadab looks like million dollar prospect when leading, it doesn't mean that I am criticizing or degrading Babar's captaincy. Both can be good leaders at the same time, that's why they are captain and vice captain.

Babar Azam is a good captain as long as the team is winning . . but he experience backlash when the team lose a match.
Pakistani and Indian fans are crazy - they only want to see their team winning and nothing else.

Yes I also think that if South Africa can play well in today's match then they will win very easily. But I think South Africa will try hard enough to win the match. Although South Africa is a strong team, and they should win against the Netherlands however the Netherlands did bat well to make 158 runs. All of their top order batsmen including Stephan Myburgh, Max O'Dowd, Tom Cooper and Colin Ackermann scored runs and make sure they put a very reasonable total on the board.

Also, their bowlers are putting up a good show and they have restricted south Africa to 68-3 in 10 overs. It will not be an easy journey from here on in for south Africa to win this match and cruise their way to the semi finals.
