In Australia Women vs India Women, 4th T20 match on going, Australia women's team threw a big target of 188 runs. Where India women lost 3 wickets and collected 49 runs. At this point 140 runs are needed from 78 balls to win. Their required run rate is 10.78 which will not very  easy for India. On side the pressure of the wicket and on the other the pressure of the runs are both difficult obstacles for Indian them. But in the T20 format, if a wicket is set on the pitch, then the equation of the game changes with in short of time.

India women's team still need 70 runs in six overs . So they need to score around 12 runs per over to win the match . Like India men, Indian women are very good at cricket, so if they play a little harder, they might be able to surpass the target given by Australia women. But it is a challenging thing for India but the Indian game looks like they have not potential to win this match

48 runs in 20 last balls from Ellyse Perry and Grace Harris was enough for Australia to win this fourth T20i and this series because after this big target of 188 runs their bowlers also done good job with keep checking Indian batting lineup which helps them specially Gardner's 2/20 in four overs were helpful even Indians also done good job and lost this match by just 7 runs which is also good fight as they try to chase this with 61 runs from 5.3 overs mean they were really close but still missing and needs more aggressive approach from them for beating world champions and most successful cricketing team in women's cricket.

Richa Ghosh and Harmanpreet Kaur both give their best as both are doing good for India in last few matches, but still this is not enough for winning against team like Australia.

India women lost the match but I would say they performed well. 188 is definitely a big score. In the beginning, they perform with a little disaster while trying to achieve that goal, but in the middle that make heavier. No one could believe they would make the distance closer.  They were doing so well at the end, if they did a little better it might not have been too difficult to win the match. Richa Ghosh's performance in particular really captivated me. In the terrible situation she led the team with a strike rate of 210 at that point.

It was a tough match for Indian bowlers but the batters entertained the spectators and fought really well, scoreboard will tell you a complete story.

I reckon Devika Vaidya's dropped catch was a tactical drop  lol. India could've been in a better place if fielder magically hold on to that catch, it was a tough chance but it did work in their favor as she was batting slowly.

India could've won the match if the openers have lasted on the crease making good opening partnership. The same getting carried forward will ease the match. However the middle order have done their job in a perfect way. Losing by small margin will keep them confident and push forward to win the upcoming match against Australia Women though the series is being already won by Australia Women.

But then Ashleigh Gardner and Grace Harris scored 112 runs from just 8 overs, to take Australia to a massive total of 196/4. Everyone got the stick, including Renuka Singh, Anjali Sarvani, Deepti Sharma and Devika Vaidya. The Indian bowlers looked quite clueless in the last 8 overs. Brabourne Stadium do have large boundaries, but despite that it was showering sixes and fours when Gardner and Harris was batting out there. This series is going to end up at 4-1.

In most of the matches I have seen in this series, their opening batsmen have failed the Australian women. Specially Smriti Mandhana mostly failed in every match. So blaming only WIPL will not be right .

Australia, England and Newzealand are the top 3 teams in women T20 ranking. Indian women team is ranked fourth on that list. Yes, a long way to go but definitely not a bad start for women cricket. Give them a few more years and they would also be ranking on the top and then you can thank the WIPL. Even though India women lost the home series but they were able to pull crowd to the stadium. Which was very rare earlier all thanks to the commendable performance by the girls in the last few years.
