unfortunately the biggest problem with advertisers is that most of them only want to make money. it is not just the bounty hunters and signature campaign participants, but it is with everyone that is advertising something, even those who start a topic pretending they are not advertising but they are actually hyping up some shitcoin because they have bought some of it.

there is nothing that can be done to stop it either. the only thing to fight them is to educate yourself and others so that we  don't fall for their scams.

Well. People usually take a risk before joining the bounty so, they need a lot of times to choose a project which is not a scam in anyway.

Most of the bounty hunters do not get payment despite their hard working and some gets a little with shit token. Can we prevent it? Just an idea.

What if we everybody stop to promote a project which offers only token?
For launching a project, the project owner or developer should have some money to promote the project. Say for example- they have to escrow a minimum of 40% of the bounty allocation in term of usd or btc. Only then we can prevent scam ico and bounty hunter will get their money. Can we start following this rule?

In my opinion it's a good idea, but it can't be realized without some kind of law issued by the forum administration. I'm not sure, but you can try to offer and discuss this idea in the meta section to get to Theymos  and other admins.

P.S.
This scheme looks very similar to STO Wink

I think your idea is very reasonable and brilliant. To anticipate and prevent scam projects that often occur. Many people have been harmed in terms of time and energy. Many bounty hunters are disappointed as a result of not getting results from their duties for several months. Sometimes it also manages to get tokens, but only becomes trash in the wallet. Because it has no value at all. It was very disappointing and boring.

I believe that this scam projects can be stopped maybe when there is a firm law on projects they have to be thoroughly examined and checked that way it will be reduced to a certain level thanks

The one that promotes obvious scam projects are bots and hackers obviously. Some of the projects are worth trying, since the very beginning I participated bounty, I really cant deny that some of them turns into scam. Well obviously, no one can tell it turns out that way.

You said exactly at the point. Bad ICO promotions are more than just the number of Bounty Hunters. But it can be prevented if the forum members are more aware. Another thing to keep in mind is that the Bunty Hunter must be able to join the Bounty to see everything.

To be sure when we know that the project is a scam, then we will stop to promote the project. This is a risk for us by participating in a project that turns us into a trap. Your idea is good but not everyone will have an opinion like you, so all kinds of work are always at risk, we can only avoid wanting to sue or not.

Bounties that paid in the token payments is a red signal for me/everyone. It is mean that the project doesn't reserve a fund allocated for promotion of the project, so they take the easy way to pay using their useless token. Worth to note that I don't generalize that kind of project will fail, but the chance isn't likely.

Either make big or nothing is the philosophy behind the token payments ans lot of bounty hunters earned lot of money from some projects and nothing from the remaining so they know the risk but still doing because they can afford it so people need to stop participating if they care about scam bounties but looks like no one cares.

Whether a project is scam or not we have no way of knowing in advance in many cases. But regular people who work on promoting one should be paid for their job. I think that the situation when bounty hunters wait months for the payment is unacceptable. I already proposed a scheme in the past, and, since it went unnoticed, I'm going to say about it again. Those who work on promoting a project should be paid 30% in BTC after completing 30% of their job. If a project fails to deliver it should be red-tagged and abandoned immediately, but at least people would save most of their time and would be scammed to a lesser extent.

No one willing to promote scan project though. But, scammers are smarter nowdays. We can really know a project is a scam or not. All we can do is to do a deeper research before promoting a project to minimize chance of promoting scam project.

You should check this thread regarding to escrow and legit bounties https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4412712.msg39280543. Here you will find the most trusted campaign managers but I suggest to check them one by one and see wich one is closer to your bounty strategies. Also I think that list would need an upgrade soon with the new trusted managers, I'm sure we have some new names that are legit waiting to be discovered.

The only solution is to detect that the project is a scam even before you are going to take part in these projects. Only a good investigation and deep research can protect you and other investors from participation . in scam projects.

it is a good suggestion but it has been discussed before multiple times. and it will never happen. why? because when they are promoting their shitty token they also want to increase its popularity and usage. if they stop paying you in their own token and instead pay  you using bitcoin for example then their token will never even be used!
not to mention that they obviously don't want to spend money. they want to "create money" and paying in bitcoin is spending money.

Of course the idea is good. But the reality infortunatelly not so pretty. 40% is high amount of even softcap of most projects. Moreover 10% already to high for startups with planned cap of just 1mil $. In that case only corporations will can make new projects.
But I think the question is very important and maybe some ideas will born during the discussion

BTC   Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System   BTC
A purely peer-to-peer version of electronic cash would allow online payments to be sent directly from one party to another without going through a financial institution. Digital signatures provide part of the solution, but the main benefits are lost if a trusted third party is still required to prevent double-spending. We propose a solution to the double-spending problem using a peer-to-peer network. The network timestamps transactions by hashing them into an ongoing chain of hash-based proof-of-work, forming a record that cannot be changed without redoing the proof-of-work. The longest chain not only serves as proof of the sequence of events witnessed, but proof that it came from the largest pool of CPU power. As long as a majority of CPU power is controlled by nodes that are not cooperating to attack the network, they'll generate the longest chain and outpace attackers. The network itself requires minimal structure. Messages are broadcast on a best effort basis, and nodes can leave and rejoin the network at will, accepting the longest proof-of-work chain as proof of what happened while they were gone.

That is a good idea of escrow some percentage of funds raised during ICO, if all bounty hunters join only the project which is having some good payment system then scam ICOs can be stopped to some extent. Crypto market is badly affected due to scam ICOs. Investor lose their money and no new investor wants to invest in new projects and due to this even good projects do not reach hardcap. Investors are the backbone of any financial market and to retain their trust scam ICOs must be put breaks.

How can we stop promoting Scam Project if we didn't even know that were support a one of a kind of SCAM here on crypto? There's no regulation, no hint or clue, you just going to be trapped on your decision.
