Last election all the results were transmitted electronically to Abuja too I was chanced to handle the card reader and I can body tell you that all the results were sent to Abuja after every voting day and all the message I sent was successfully, I was surprised say INEC denied everything. Well if the bills are passed successfully e go still make sense too at least e go become a law rather than personal decision thing... But nothing go still change.

From what I read today about the case I think it was just an amendment to the previous law on Party choosing their candidate ( now Party can decide whether to use Direct or Indirect Primaries) and also an Appeal to INEC to transmit results online BUT all still dey INEC hand weda to transmit it or not Na just appeal so I no see anything special about this case to be honest na just the same system.

The bill is titled: “Recommittal of Amended Clauses of a Bill for an Act to repeal the Electoral Bill, 2021 and Enact the Electoral Act, 2021”.

The controversial clause 52(3) is now amended to 52(2), which reads: “Subject to section 63 of this Bill, voting at an election and transmission of results under this Bill shall be in accordance with the procedure determined by the Commission (INEC), which may include electronic voting.”
