Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

BCN is #~11 in the top cryptocurrency capitalization yet the trading volume is extremely low compared to other major currencies and even numbers of notable veteran ones. hope the price of BCN will not be vulnerable easily. Tongue

out of ability to use the signature, i want a new ban strike policy that will fade the strike after 90~120 days of the ban and not to be traced back, like google | email me for anything urgent, message will possibly not be instantly responded
i am not really active for some reason

Everyone is not complaining about the GUI wallet syncing issues.

My wallet(s) have been working fine for years. Slow at times, but always worked.

I suspect that the vast majority of BCN users are happy right now with the increase in popularity of this coin.

With more users come more noobs and complaints. That's normal.

And then there are the "sock puppets" and "trolls."

Bytecoin's purpose is clearly stated on their website for anyone is who is too lazy to comprehend this fact.

If you ask in this forum, you have not done your homework.

My wallets have been working fine for 25 moths exactly.
Had only one issue while last hardork and chain forks.

Chain is synced from scratch 12-18 hours (yes, all 32G).

Mine synced as well. When started first it is slow but eventually gets it going. May be they are doing something wrong. Did you check your Firewall configuration if that is blocking it?

NOTE: This is a cross-post, duplicate from original written over on the bytecoin GUI thread... not much activity over there apparently LOL so I figured maybe have better luck getting an answer here

-----

Hey Bytecoin People!  Quick question: I've searched around quite a bit already on this but have not found a solution.

I just want to very SIMPLY and QUICKLY generate a bytecoin address AND PRIVATE KEY to stash away a small BCN stake, long-term in COLD paper wallet.

Haven't you guys set up something to JUST do that, yet?  Very simple and quick?  Something like MyEtherWallet for ETH or BitAddress for BTC?

I mean, srsly even the gawd-awful Cloak coin has ported-over a quick simple paperwallet generator page (from BitAddress source --
 https://paperwallet.cloakcoin.com/ -- apparently)

And you guys are srsly expecting new/casual users to download your entire blockchain and use the command-line wallet ONLY to do this simple thing???

C'mon... LOL

A simple clean paper wallet generator ought to have been the FIRST THING to do on your list!!!

So IS there one SOMEWHERE, I have missed?Huh

KeyJockey,

Seriously?

Just use a light weight android wallet or a flashdrive after you download the blockchain.

Paper wallets and brain-wallets have security flaws.

But more options from the Bytecoin Gods would be nice.

Seriously?

LOL... yes, srsly I'm totally srs Tongue

Nope, no go on that one.  Apple iPhone here, no android available.  And no I'm not gonna buy a whole new phone just for this (srsly)

Paper wallets and brain-wallets have security flaws.

Never said anything about BRAIN wallet (agree with you on that) but NOPE again, sorry...

IMHO when properly printed and saved PAPER WALLET is the best and simplest thing going.

Did you ever consider that all the hardware wallet makers recommend and rely on their users WRITING DOWN and SAVING their seed-words as backup to secure the hardware wallet itself??  'nuff said...

But more options from the Bytecoin Gods would be nice.

That's all I'm asking for here, man... a simple paper wallet method really is a first, BASIC, necessity for any coin.

In light of the recent Bytecoin success I believe BCN will rise higher than other crypto and get to the top 5 on the market cap rating. Such a sudden rise could cause a lot of problems for the BCN team. So that’s why I’ve decided to build a support project for all BCN developers.

I would like to suggest that the whole BCN community start a BUG FIX BOUNTY PROGRAM to help the Bytecoin team hold out and improve their source code.

I’ve made a wallet specially for donation to this project!
Here's the wallet link to donate to improve Bytecoin source code: 223DCDuuxLGLdxxMghabRMSmkwuAzRtTvcAupsnGCrA4bDeoPxwoeirKA32X5SrJuDPBgXTsSmQRoAb CzcDvM2d2PdtwpxB

I’ve already made a transaction to the wallet today (as you can see it’s $300)  and i’m going to do it again as soon as I can.
I know you might think this sounds scammy, but the truth is that I really do care about the BCN community and the team and I want to raise crowdfunded support for them.
Everyday I will make a report about the money raised and the people who have joined the BFB program. If you need any other details, feel free to direct message me.

Well we have got the coins.
We waited till the blockchain was fully downloaded but..... nothing! I read on Reddit that if you have the 1.1.5 version and your coins are not showing, just download the 1.1.4 version and it would be good.

We did and there where the coins, thanks for the advices guys!
