[XTRABYTES]

XTRABYTES™ goes beyond being a currency. It's a next-gen blockchain platform that allows DApps to be programmed in any language, utilizing a new and ecological consensus algorithm. Standard blockchain environments are vulnerable to many centralization weaknesses, including a propensity for self-contained development, weak consensus methods, and coin monopolization. The XTRABYTES™ platform seeks to rectify these limitations by creating a truly decentralized cryptocurrency and applications platform. Moreover, as a next-generation blockchain solution, the XTRABYTES™ platform enables developers to pursue a greater range of creative endeavors.






Proof-of-Signature consensus algorithm

XTRABYTES™ does not require traditional mining support, such as POW or POS. Instead, we have created a unique ecological consensus algorithm called Proof of Signature (POSIGN) designed to work in tandem with our network system (VITALS & PULSE). With POSIGN, our STATIC node network immediately signs off on all transaction blocks after they’re verified. This network process ensures exceptional security for our users. Unlike Proof-Of-Stake, XTRABYTES™ system of online virtual nodes validates all transaction blocks at the time they occur. As an added safeguard, offline nodes double check these transaction blocks when they come online (though they don’t need to sign the blocks themselves). Thus, even one STATIC node can theoretically run the entire network.
 
 
STATIC nodes

STATIC nodes are the backbone of the XTRABYTES network. STATIC is an acronym of Services Transactions and Trusted in Control, which essentially defines STATIC nodes in brief.
 
SERVICES - All modules attached to the XTRABYTES network must be served by at least 1 STATIC node.
TRANSACTIONS - All transactions are processed by the STATIC nodes.
TRUSTED - Each STATIC node registration requires an XBY and/or XFUEL deposit and is known by the XTRABYTES network and verified by KYC documentation.
CONTROL - The STATIC network controls the entire XTRABYTES MODULAR BLOCKCHAIN ECOSYSTEM.
 
XTRABYTES security improvements are profound. Any hacker seeking to compromise the XTRABYTES STATIC node network must be able to compromise all nodes at once. As a result, it’s practically impossible for any malicious actor to undermine the integrity of the blockchain. To ensure rapid communication between network nodes, XTRABYTES developed two additional network elements named VITALS & PULSE.
 
 
VITALS & PULSE

VITALS stands for Virtual Information Transmissions Aligning STATICS.
VITALS governs a private virtual network of online STATIC nodes. By delivering VPN-like functionality over a public network, VITALS ensures interference-free, direct paths between STATIC nodes. In part, this is because VITALS is comprised of fixed virtual nodes that correspond to, and are controlled by, one or more STATIC nodes. As a result, STATIC nodes can conduct and verify transactions with superior security and speed.
 
PULSE stands for Ping Unified Ledger Synchronization Equalizer
PULSE serves as the central communication system for network STATIC nodes. Anytime a user creates a transaction on the XTRABYTES ledger, a PULSE signal is sent out to all nodes alerting them that a new block needs to be validated. This signal helps govern the VITALS network by providing time stamps and facilitating the block verification.
 
 




Modules are extensions built onto the XBY core. They provide the use case for XTRABYTES™ in the form of DApps, whether they be decentralized storage, smart contracts, instant messaging or any conceivable application you can think of. In conjunction with the XTRABYTES core, the DICOM API will provide programmers with a user-friendly platform for development.
 
The DICOM API (or Distributed Command Message Application Programming Interface) enables modules to interact with the XTRABYTES core. In particular, the application programming interface (API) connects external modules to the core and facilitates the creation of applications which can access data/features within the XTRABYTES core. The DICOM API also allows a module to be coded in any one of several different programming languages (i.e. Visual Basic, Java, C++ and many more). This makes the XTRABYTES modules code-agnostic and opens up the creation of DApps to third-party developers.
 
Modules are one of the simplest parts of the XTRABYTES structure and provide an excellent entry point for people to discover and learn about the XTRABYTES infrastructure.
 
  




XFUEL™ is our development token and the first token on the XTRABYTES™ platform. As such, it serves as a way to fund XTRABYTES™, encourage project participation and provides our first proof of concept for the POSIGN consensus algorithm through a lite version of POSIGN which doesn't require miners to secure the chain.
 
As a monetary incentive, XFUEL™ enables the project to pay participants for their time and efforts. Without XFUEL™, it would have been impossible to achieve the goals we had for the XTRABYTES™ project in an effective timeframe and to allow it to continue as a community project. XTRABYTES™ did not conduct an ICO, meaning there was no ICO funding available to compensate project contributors. Development would have been incremental at best or we would have fallen into control of venture capitalists who may not have aligned with the visions of our inventor and lead developer.
 
After project contributors detail their project support, XTRABYTES™ awards them with XFUEL™ for their completed work. Project fans can also earn XFUEL™ by participating in various bounties. XFUEL™ is tradeable on our Waves gateway and will also be tradable on multiple exchanges including our decentralized X-CHANGE module, available within XCITE™.
 
XFUEL™ will be also used for funding projects through the XFUEL™ My Idea Project. This program offers support for great dApp ideas from individuals to come to life. The goal is to leverage our community to vote on the best ideas.
 
Finally, as development expanded to the full version we are working on today, it was a requirement to have more coins available to effectively fill our planned network of STATIC nodes. With XTRABYTES committed to the original 650 million coins and with everything else regarding XFUEL above considered (along with some other ideas we will reveal over time) launching XFUEL was the optimum method to meet all the needs we had for the project. As such, the node network allows for up to approximately 33% per node to be filled by XFUEL.
 
It’s also important to note that even today, after 18 months since the XFUEL genesis block, we still do not have enough XFUEL in circulation to fill the entire node network with sufficient trading supplies of both XBY and XFUEL remaining.

Anyone who wishes to become part of the XTRABYTES STATIC network can do so by meeting the following requirements and can benefit from the following conditions:

1. KYC documentation with address verification
2. Deposits of sufficient amounts of coins (as seen below) which will be facilitated on our XCITE wallet system. Our technology will allow both XBY and XFUEL to be locked in 1 location to create your XBY node or a blended node which contains both coins.

Required deposits of STATIC nodes:
Level 1 is: 500,000 XBY  or  330,000 XBY + 170,000 XFUEL
Level 2 is: 250,000 XBY  or  170,000 XBY + 80,000 XFUEL
Level 3 is: 125,000 XBY  or  85,000 XBY + 40,000 XFUEL

3. These are deposits, not purchases. Therefore you can retrieve these coins at any time which would also result in breaking your STATIC node.
4. A STATIC marketplace will be made available where a person can sell their STATIC node, rather than breaking it should you desire retrieving your investment, rather than continuing to support the network in exchange for profits from fees.
5. Each STATIC node will receive a balanced percentage of fees from payments to the network. These fees are dependent on many factors, such as:

Online time
Node ownership age
Broken or original registration
Machine specs and capacity
Speed and quality of Internet connection
Real shares affiliated or not

Although the foundation for calculations is the same for all levels of nodes ( adjusted accordingly by deposit size ), there are factors ( we call them TRUST factors ) which further determine the actual fees received by each individual node. There will be an algorithm that automatically determines each nodes TRUST level which then is used in conjunction with the foundation calculation to determine the STATIC nodes final payout percentage. Obviously a super fast computer, with massive storage and memory, that has a high quality and fast internet connection, which is online 24/7, is an original STATIC that has never been broken, which also has maintained the affiliation of the real shares; will have the highest possible fees percentage. Anything less than these maximum TRUST factors will result in reduced fees percentage. The difference will be significant if we start to make comparisons to someone who is renting top quality equipment through a VPS and has all other factors in place along side of an old laptop or raspberry pi that does not offer much more ability than a node connection which has not maintained the connection of real shares.

6. Node registration fees ( which are paid to the existing network of STATIC nodes ) will become a factor soon after STATIC registration re-opens. For the first 25,000 blocks there will be no fees. Afterwards, a 10% ( measured by deposit size ) fee will be the ongoing charge for new STATIC entries.






In time, as we are able to open this process, XTRABYTES will begin to release ownership and control of the project.

XTRABYTES™ was never an ICO, but rather a community-driven project.

XTRABYTES followed the failed Bitmox ICO. In early 2017, Bitmox investors lost money when the project's developers decided to abandon their project. In order to create a real community for the Bitmox victims, XTRABYTES’ lead developer Borzalom stepped in to resurrect the project, repair the source code, and rebuild the node network.

Thus XTRABYTES never raised any money for its development. Borzalom rather forked the old Bitmox chain and premined all the new XBY coins to the C-CEX exchange, where XBY first started. This was done so that C-CEX could credit all the existing accounts that owned the old Bitmox coins with the new "official" XBY tokens, and then the XTRABYTES chain continued forward, leaving the old Bitmox chain dead in its tracks, which also eliminated the old duplicate accounts with the Bitmox coins. The original Bitmox investors thus received XBY tokens instead of their now worthless Bitmox coins, and most of them decided to put their XBY up for sale on C-CEX.

In order to further the development of the project, XFUEL was later created. XFUEL is a development token on the XTRABYTES blockchain. As such, it serves as a way to both fund the XTRABYTES project and encourage further participation within the project. As a monetary incentive, XFUEL serves both to encourage further investment in XTRABYTES and pay participants for the hard work and time they put into it.
