Here are the results of UFC Fight Night: Smith vs. Teixeira One of the most brutal fights i have seen in a very long time. Anthony Smith took a beating of his life time and the corner should have stopped the fight, Smith lost a tooth during the fight and Anthony Smith handed it over to referee. The injury Gabriel Benítez sustain and the image is not the faint of hearts and hence i am not posting that, his bone can be seen in the picture he posted in his instagram account. Thank for pointing that. I havent seen that event, just checked the result and thought that after ufc 249, this fightnight would be much less entertaining. But now, “brutal beating”, “tooth handed to referee”, “injury” - I cant just leave that unseen lol What can I say - Dana White and UFC awake sport from covid-19 “sleep” in less than 7 days. Great! They sure knows how to entertain and manage that business. Update: I’ve checked Gabriel’s injury photo - deep and nasty cut.

In today's fight three fighters surprised me, i did not expect Drew Dober, Andrei Arlovski and i did not expect Anthony Smith to loose to a 40 year old Glover Teixeira, i have not seen Golver Teixeira dominate like this and i thought his age will be a disadvantage and moreover Smith fought really well against Jones. As expected Michael Johnson once again lost the fight, but he started really well but Thiago Moises showcased his ground skills. What can I say - Dana White and UFC awake sport from covid-19 “sleep” in less than 7 days. Great! They sure knows how to entertain and manage that business. Happy to see that UFC was able to entertain the sports fans with consecutive fight cards and in a couple of days there is another fight card.

Did Glover Texeira eat steroids? The Lionheart was picking his teeth and giving them to the referee. I am not joking hehe. Also, I speculate that Khabib might not fight according to his original plan on July or September. His father is in a coma. Media outlets in Russia are now reporting that Abdulmanap is in a coma. The outlets say that his condition is critical. Sport Express reported that Abdulmanap was taken to a hospital in Moscow via “special flight.”Source https://www.mmanews.com/report-khabib-nurmagomedovs-father-is-in-a-coma/

UFC on ESPN: Overeem vs. HarrisDate: Saturday, May 16 Preliminary Card : SUN, MAY 17 / 1:00 AM EEST Main Card: SUN, MAY 17 / 4:00 AM EEST Venue: VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena, Jacksonville United States Main CardHeavyweight: Alistair Overeem vs. Walt Harris Women’s Strawweight: Cláudia Gadelha vs. Angela Hill Featherweight: Dan Ige vs. Edson Barboza Middleweight: Eryk Anders vs. Krzysztof Jotko Featherweight: Song Yadong vs. Marlon Vera Preliminary Card Welterweight: Matt Brown vs. Miguel Baeza Middleweight: Anthony Hernandez vs. Kevin Holland Featherweight: Giga Chikadze vs. Irwin Rivera Women's Flyweight: Cortney Casey vs. Mara Romero Borella Featherweight: Darren Elkins vs. Nate Landwehr Heavyweight: Rodrigo Nascimento vs. Don’Tale Mayes I would like to advice to pay attention to two fights this is card. Of course the main even, Overeem vs Harris. Previously I would say, that this fight would be easy for Overeem, but lately he disappoints with his instability. Overeem is not as steroid monster as he used to be. Just a decent heavyweight fighter right now, so Harris has all the chances to win. Second fight - Matt Brown vs Miguel Baeze. I remember that Matt Brown was the master of elbows, he even got a "bloody elbow" of 2017 trophy. Hope to see his elbows in action this weekend

McGregor looks like he wants to fight both of them too, but if Khabib vs Gaethje does go ahead, which it likely will, I think he should go with the Masvidal fight as that's probably the next big thing unless he fights Tony, but Dana said he wants Tony to take some time off after his defeat. Have you heard about the situation of Khabib's dad, he is in coma and if something bad happens then it will affect Khabib terribly considering how close they are and he is his primary coach and even Conor McGregor reached out which is respectable. I heard he was ill as Dana mentioned it in the press conference but he didn't go into details. Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz would be great but to face Masvidal it will be a difficult fight for McGregor considering the size difference even though he fought down at 155 pounds. Both fighters have fought in both divisions so I'm sure this match up could easily get done. I'd like to see it, but I don't think Connor would win. I'm also glad to see Dana is still going ahead with Fight Island even though it seems fights in the US are going ahead fine now. That could be something special. The reason for the fight island is to accommodate fighters from other countries as the government has no jurisdiction over it and that was the plan from the start as it was clear that the corona will be with us for a long time and Dana White wants to continue with the fight cards. With restrictions likely being lifted soon it probably won't matter that much where it is. I'm sure Dana could get people flown into the US quite easily.

I would like to advice to pay attention to two fights this is card.
Of course the main even, Overeem vs Harris. Previously I would say, that this fight would be easy for Overeem, but lately he disappoints with his instability. Overeem is not as steroid monster as he used to be. Just a decent heavyweight fighter right now, so Harris has all the chances to win. You cannot write off Alister Overeem, the last fight against Jairzinho Rozenstruik was really competitive and Overeem was winning till he got knocked out and on the other hand all the fights won by Walt Harris was by knockout. I am expecting Walt Harris to win by knockout considering the weak chin of Overeem. Second fight - Matt Brown vs Miguel Baeze. I remember that Matt Brown was the master of elbows, he even got a "bloody elbow" of 2017 trophy. Hope to see his elbows in action this weekend Matt Brown is a gate keeper of the division and he once again facing a young talent, not seen any clips of Miguel Baeze but if Miguel Baeze think about striking with Matt Brown then it will be a difficult fight for him.

UFC on ESPN: Overeem vs. Harris This should be one great fight, and I am going for Overeem win here. Not very interested in other fights in this card, but you never know what fight will be surprise. I agree with you Overeem is still a star fighter and it's still pleasant to watch him fighting but he begins to get a little bit old IMO.
BTW could you tell me what that means : It means more or less than 1.5 rounds will be completed or will have been started ? If the fight ends in the second round. 2 rounds will have begun but only one will have been completed. So what would be the outcome for that bet? TYVM

Was scrolling through ufc new on youtube and found out that Ngannou and Jon Jones are started “to talk” to promote their next fight. I’m a bit confused, isnt Jon Jones in other weight division? Jon’s dirty style wont help him to survive agains the beast. One punch and his head will fly through the fence

But, based on the scenario that you posted above (fight ends in the 2nd round), the winning bet for it would be Over 1.5. If my understanding is correct, the Under 1.5 will only push through if someone will win on the 1st round. Anyone, please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Alistair Overeem VS Walt Harris I really think this is a great main event on the heavyweight division, and I really like Alistair Overeem he is one of the most skilled heavyweights in the mixed martial art industry, but his opponent look beefy and intimidating Walt Harris won both of his bouts in 2019 scoring both fights in knockouts but his fight with Arlovski has turned into a no-contest after a failed rug test, But still, Walt Harris is showing a good sign in winning this in my opinion, I really like Overeem but I think Harris can win this fight.

~snip But now, “brutal beating”, “tooth handed to referee”, “injury” - I cant just leave that unseen lol Anthony Smith came out and said about the details of his injury, he had a broken nose as well as broke his orbital bone and not one but two teeth are gone and the brain damage he attained and i really doubt he can be the same fighter again with the kind of injuries he sustained. Also, I speculate that Khabib might not fight according to his original plan on July or September. His father is in a coma.
His father opened his eyes and hopefully he will recover well. The support and prayer he from everywhere was surprising, even McGregor praised his dad and wished him recovery. McGregor only fought twice at 170 pounds in his career and that too against Nate Diaz, his record is one win which was really close and a loss where he completely gassed out. With restrictions likely being lifted soon it probably won't matter that much where it is. I'm sure Dana could get people flown into the US quite easily.
Even if the restrictions are lifted, they are spending a lot of money constructing the infrastructure and it will be ready by June as per the words of Dana White.

UFC Fight Night 176
Overeem KOs Harris in round 2 - I think it was a mistake for Harris to go in for the kill in the first round after landing some good punches. It's no secret that Overeem gasses out quickly but it was him who gassed out after throwing a flurry of punches. He should have waited and pushed the pace in rounds 3 to 5. Kudos to Overeem for remaining calm though.
Other fight results: Jotko wins by unanimous decision over Anders Ige wins by split decision over Barboza Gadelha wins by split decision over Hill

If you remembered, there's also a beef existed between him and Adesanya before and yet nothing happened lol. See? That's the same thing we can foresee in this recent case with Ngannou. You know what, Jon already got nothing to prove in his "comfort division" so he must be the one who step up and not his opponents if he's really eager to fight them. My bet/tips for tonight's fight card. Feel free to follow or fade. These were great picks, Alistair Overeem showed his veteran class, i thought he would get knocked down in the first round but survived and came back and win the fight in the second round. @eaLiTy. That is good but bad for Conor, however hehe.
It appears Jon Bones Jones might rescue his career and image by fighting on the heavyweight decision. The opponent will be the big fellow hehehehe. Conor McGregor is showing the good side, the pandemic might have changed many . If Jon Jones is planning to move to heavyweight he should wait for Francis Ngannou to win the title which will be probably in a years time and then fight him and it will be the biggest fight in heavyweight in a very long time. Psh! I'm not buying this hahaha. Bones only seems brave and ready to fight on the way he talks against Predator but in reality he's scared of leaving the Light HW division ~ change my mind . Haay lot's of talks but no actions . The light heavyweight division is the most talent stacked and the toughest division and Jon Jones ruled the division like anyone else in history and that is the only reason every consider him as the greatest MMA fighter of all time, the heavyweight division is not even competitive. Israel Adesanya is not ready to fight Jon Jones and that is not his fault, Jon Jones is not going down to face him, Israel Adesanya has to come to his division and i bet Jon Jones will smoke him simply because of the size difference. although Overeem is a little ahead with the age in my opinion he remains a first-class fighter, he has resisted very well to Harris's initial outbursts and managed to keep him(Harris) on the ground for most of the time in the second round until the technical knockout, i had bet on Harris
I did not bet in this fight because of the emotional stress Walt Harris went through after loosing his step daughter just recently. For those who were not aware of the Aniah case where she was kidnapped and murdered and that is the reason the fight against Overeem was cancelled last time and i was not sure in what shape or emotional Walt Harris was and hence did not wage a bet in the fight. It was emotional to see everyone reaching out to him after the fight.

~snip I did not bet in this fight because of the emotional stress Walt Harris went through after loosing his step daughter just recently. I was expecting Walt Harris to win the fight considering the weak chin of Alister Overeem and i was not aware of the tragedy and the emotions he was going through and if i knew this situation i would have stayed away from betting on him, either way it was a great fight as Overeem was able to somehow able to survive the first round and then come back and finish Harris in the second round.
