It was a cool fight Glover Teixeira is keeping his pace in taking the fight to the ground which is expected for him to do. And a little disappointed with a one Cancelled fight between Ian Heinisch VS Brendan Allen but overall I think it's OK.

Anyone who watched last UFC event could see how easy is to lose your ear if you are mma fighter  
I am talking about fight Max Griffin vs Ramiz Brahimaj, and Max Griffin's elbow ripped off Ramiz ear with blood coming out all over.
He was dominating and deserved to win, but I hope doctors will patch Ramiz ear.

I was not expecting main even to finish like this with Glover Teixeira win, but that is why mma is so interesting.
Giga Chikadze won like I expected and received a bonus for best performance of the night.

This is going to be a nice exam for Makhachev. If he passes experienced Dos Anjos, he might have a next fight against someone from Lightweight top15.

^  Yup..  Giles vs Lewis was decent, the one with Barcelos was good and def watch the main event.  That's my fight of the night, not sure why the UFC gave it to Barcelos vs Taha.

it was reported that Makhachev was forced to pull from the event due to injuries. But, according to his last Instagram post, he got some kind of infection during weight cut. He also says that "this is not the first time team faced this infection, causing fights to be postponed". Covid probably.

There is no information about replacement on ufc.com and Islam Makhackev is still in the card.

It is unfortunate that the fight is off for the second time in two months and Rafael Dos Anjos even called out Michael Chandler to be the replacement but i doubt Chandler will take the fight considering he had to cut weight in a months time even as a replacement fighter and i do not think he will be willing to cut the weight again in a short interval of time considering he is making his debut in the UFC.

Tony cut weight twice in a short period of time and he was not able to perform like he used to against Gaethje.

The fight is off but what i would like to point out is Islam Makhachev is ranked 12 and Rafael dos Anjos was not ranked in lightweight but he is a former champion and if that fight took place and Islam Makhachev could win the fight then he will get anyone from the top 5 considering how he wins.

Islam Makhachev has the skills to become the champion but i have seen him struggle against Arman Tsarukyan in some of the exchanges in the early rounds and i really doubt his chin against elite strikers.

That was one nasty injury I can not imagine if this is more serious than Alistair Overeem's lip injury, but I think the doctors will do something to still save his ear and to recover just like Overeem's lips.

Don't know why Dos Santos is huge favourite, he had lost 4 out of his last 5 fights (now in a series of 2 straight losses). Felder has 3 wins in his last 5 fight .

Also, Makhachev was not tested positive for covid-19, but got a staph infection.

From what i understand Paul Felder was not in fight shape as he was not training for that as he was preparing for a marathon and i was surprised that he took the opportunity, Dos Santos was basically fighting at welterweight and that too tough competition and title challengers and he was a former lightweight champion and so is the reason he is a heavy favorite.

I'm not a big fan of UFC or kick boxing but, I still like the idea of the sport and I managed to view one today. The match between Thiago Santos Vs Gloover Teixeira, both Brazilians and I wonder why fix matches against country men. It lasted only three short rounds but, it was an andrenalin challenge where the more experienced seemed to over come strength. Gloover forced Santos to submission in a tight hold and at the end, the two country men showed each other much love than I expected for a physical sports that dealt with them both hurting themselves. It was such an emotional site for me and Gloover have got a winning tactics even in his 40s.

Another main event fighter also removed with the reason not announced. The UFC did not have a replacement and cancelled the fight. This is very unfair for his opponent, Megan Anderson.

However, Amanda Nunes and his wife had their new baby only this September. I speculate that he might want to enjoy more of his new fatherhood first before returning.

There isn't anything wrong with country men fighting themselves over a title, at list, it's not war but a contest that has to do with fist. It was just so matured the way the both kick boxers behaved after the match. I really wish other athletes can adopt so friendly atmosphere with their opponents but, it's very much an individual thing though.
Another thing was, the arena was really empty. I know it's because of the Covid19 pandemic but, it really felt like I them but challenging themselves and asked their trainers to watch. It didn't felt so coll not having spectators around.

But you have to try to look deeper into RDA's record.  He was beaten by tough competition vs Covington who was the former WW interim champ, Usman the current WW champ, Leon Edwards who's a world beater now and a decent fighter in Chiesa who was way bigger than him.  RDA is really small for WW.

Felder on the other hand is somewhat like a part time fighter now like James Krause.  And he's taking the fight in 155 which means he has to go through a weight cut, agreed to do it 5 rounds and on 5 days notice.  That's a tough one.

And imo Felder lost to Barboza but the judges gave the split to Felder.  So in a way, it's like Felder is coming in here with a two fight losing streak.

And how are both fighters' mindsets coming into the fight?  RDA prolly still thinks he has a chance to rise the ranks and fight for a title one more time.  Felder is like a commentator now who takes fights.  Dunno...

But yeah..  Line's too deep for RDA from a betting persepctive.
