It is going to be a technical fight but Justin Gaethje is not going to wrestle,

I actually think he can take down Khabib. I don't remember anyone doing that to him.

I remember early in Khabib's career he was taken down, lots of analysis in youtube stream, but the main thing I remember is that those fighters who takes him down, was really don't a lot of fakes before they suddenly pull a take down attempts on him, in short you have to surprised Khabib.

As for trash talking, Justin is not known, unlike Conor or any other fighters, he has so much respect to his opponent, like in the Cerrone fight, he doesn't want to hit Cowboy but the referee hasn't stop it in time that's why he was force to give some when Cowboy was already down.

If you want to remember what happens when someone tries to take down Khabib Nurmagomedov just look at the Abel Trujillo fight, in the opening sequence he took Khabib down and that poked the ego of Khabib and then after that all Khabib did in the fight is to take Abel Trujillo over and over again with single legs double legs and different kinds of trips i have never seen before in MMA and that became the UFC record.

Just for all the fight fans on the pure wrestling credibility of Khabib he can go toe to toe against Ed Ruth who is a three time NCAA Division I national champion but what is interesting is that Justin Gaethje faced Jordan Burroughs during his wrestling career and he was able to give Jordan Burroughs a tough match up and even took him down and was able to scramble twice from the bottom and everyone should understand Burroughs is known as one of the best wrestlers US ever produced.

All these said, the major difference is Justin Gaethje moved away completely from wrestling and concentrated mainly on striking and Khabib Nurmagomedov drills wrestling on a daily basis against high level opponents and Dagestan produces the best wrestlers in the world.

I don't see this going 5 rounds, and I don't see this ending by a submission. I believe Khabib will either knock out Justin, or Justin will knock out Khabib. Khabib has shown in the past he can throw punches.

The game plan is simple, Khabib is going to take Gaethje down and when ever Gaethje goes for the calf kick i am expecting a take down which will hesitate Gaethje to throw further kicks and if Khabib can pin Gaethje then he will make Gaethje work hard that will exhaust the opponent and i am expecting Khabib chocking him out in the third or fourth round.

Ortega also looked like he had a bad weight cut a week ago.  Yet he dominated.  I think with Khabib, it was mostly a ruse to make Gaethje's camp think he had a bad weight cut?  Dunno..  But it was the first thing that went in my mind.  Lol.

There is no need for circus and trash talk, but remember that McGregor is returning soon and trash talk is coming with him:)

I just take a look to nitro and they say:

Nurmagomedov x1.28
Goethje x3.84

And i don't think Goethje has a chance against khabib because for me he is the hardest fighter today in the UFC, we see how he destroys Conor, and the fighting style he hast is hard to break. So the easy money it's on him, is a smart move to go all-in on this one.

This will be a monster fight, I think that shots will be blazing in the first round, I don't see Khabib losing it, but everything is possible. I was so disappointed recently when my countryman's Delija UFC debut was cancelled, this will make up for it for sure, with the thrill it brings.

A big gamble because Justin opponent is Khabib but it makes sense that he bet on KO/TKO result because surely the outcome will either be Khabib or Justin KO/TKO during the 1st or 2nd round. I'm not expecting that the fight will took until the last round considering the fighting style of both player.

Justin has a shot on this fight because khabib's father died. Let's be honest, this really give a psychological impact and might affect his training session. Still I'm with khabib on this fight. A very powerful fighter, less talk more action. The best fighter.

Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Justin Gaethje will be classic Russia vs USA fight, and maybe one of the most popular events in UFC history.
I am looking to find some bookie that have betting for winner of only first round, and I would give advantage to Justin Gaethje just in first round.
However, I think that Khabib will be better as fight progresses and he will be overall winner, and it will probably be win by submission.
I am sure he will dedicate this win to his late father.

My second pick would be Volkov win in Alexander Volkov vs Walt Harris fight.
I talked about my reasons before, so no need to repeat again.

Jared Cannonier vs Robert Whittaker will be a tricky fight and I can't make make pick yet.
Cannonier (13-4) is seven years older and 4.5” reach advantage here, and he won all 3 of his last fights.
Whittaker (22-5) is taller fighter coming from New Zeland. He lost from Adesanya but won last fight with Till.

I made my bet at Stake.  They had it at 50 when I made the bet, it's lower now.  So I bet 50 bucks instead of the planned 100 at 25.  But I dropped the other 50 on Gaethje to win via KO/TKO at 7.5.

Yes, you can see it from the odds and it's been changing and Whittaker is closing the odds. So it's a very tricky but if you got it right it will be a good win. Robert is also a former champion went 50 minutes against Yoel and was able to get in the mat for a combine 1 minutes, taking into consideration Yoel's background.

And the fight is short, 3 rounds, so it will be more on a standing fight, so which one will have the edge? Cannonier has power in both hands but Robert has some serious power as well.

Khabib is just calm and strong. It would be really difficult for Gaethje to defeat him. Though Gaethje too is a calm chap who speaks with his fists, Khabib would have a clear psychological advantage. These fighters from Dagestan are so strong from their mind and body that they are hard to break. Gaethje needs to outperform Khabib in agility if he is to win the rounds.

I am positive that Khabib Nurmagomedov has a huge advantage in this fight but as the fight progresses I am too afraid that I might be wrong, I don't know but I am keeping my composure and trust that Nurmagomedov can win this, Actually, I am betting for Khabib but surely enough I don't surely dislike Gaethje style as well still this is really a massive fight that makes bettors think twice before making a bet because of so much support in Gaethje's part that many are believing he could truly defeat The Eagle.

The fight already started and the timing of the fight confused me, my picks for the main event are Magomed Ankalaev, Lauren Murphy and Liliya Shakirova to go the distance, Phil Hawes, Alexander Volkov, Robert Whittaker and Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Magomed Ankalaev and Ion Cuțelaba is a rematch and the first fight stoppage was a referee blunder when he called off the fight when Ion Cuțelaba was acting as if he was injured but Magomed Ankalaev is a dangerous fighter.

Lauren Murphy and Liliya Shakirova i wanted to pick the new comer Liliya Shakirova but i have no idea about her fighting skills apart from she is coming from Uzbekistan and is helped by Khabib team.

Anything can happen, Khabib is favorite, but I always go for the underdog, same this time. Gaethje has a solid chance from my point of view, but if fight goes to 3rd or more rounds, Khabib will take it for sure. Few hard shots in the first round could change the course though.
