Even though there is a Nurmagomedov name on the poster and it is going to attract all the attention, I would be giving my attention (and prays lol) to other fight from the prelims. First one to guess wins a merit

Mokaev dismissal was actually a surprise and I don't know what was the reason why Dana White no longer extended Mokaev contract at the UFC, but from several media that I read, the dismissal was due to nothing other than the effect of Mokaev previous statement which stated that UFC officials did not want to see his career is growing, and that is has sparked Dana White anger to not longer renew Mokaev contract now, I think all fighters from Dagestan Russia currently have almost the same style of play, namely they tend to fight on the ground by wrestling and locking their opponents into submission, So in my opinion Makaev left at the moment doesn't really matter because as Dana White said: there are many other fighters who are better at fighting on the ground than Makaev in the moment, a win over Manel Kape will be Makaev last fight and I hopefully he can get a better careerr if  play PFL later.

Some make funny predictions, that he was released because UFC is full of Dagestani wrestlers (who are about to get belt), who arent much of a trashtalker/fight sellers.

Lmao dude...  Have you watched all of Mokaev's matches?  They're mostly underwhelming.  And the ones that were exciting, he was losing them at the start.  Watch Malcom Gordon vs Mokaev.  Gordon is like one of the all time nut lows in FW.  Lol.

I am not 1000% sure in situation with Mokaev, but in Russian media we have a bit different theory about his release (boring, causes troubles, refused to follow UFC orders vs manager fault). Nope.  Watched a few, not a fan but I look at his records and bet on him though. It's the same as boring Belal but I bet on him as well since it's sort of a tip from the UFC channels. His photo on wiki is very different in reality.

But if the major reason was Mokaev's manager talking to PFL trying to use that as leverage and get the best possible deal to his client - I'm struggling to see anything wrong with that. That's what managers are supposed to be doing.
If the UFC/Dana indeed threw a tantrum over that, it would make them look unprofessional and confirm their abusive approach toward their fighters. They could just make him a non-negotiable offer and give him a deadline to sign. It's that simple.

Yeap, that is what managers are suppose to do, but Mokaev manager failed his work, as this information leaked. Imho, what UFC and Dana did is 100% correct from business point of view. Its employer and employee relationships. If employee wants to play smart and try to own you, he must be punished. Otherwise he will do again, and other will try to do it as well. Not the best example, but I have faced such people that tried to fcuk me up. For example construction workers and those who do repairs tried to cheat with material cheques or to charge money for what they havent even bought. Were fired next minute I found out it. With or without Mokaev, UFC havent lost much. Sure there are a line of 50 similar Mokaevs who wants to fight in most popular promotion.

There are rumors that Mokaev's manager is their negotiator with the PFL to get Mokaev a bigger contract. We know it's not easy to get Dana White to spend a lot of money on his fighters. There are many fighters who want money too. Chimaev and Ngannou are the fighters I know so far who are open about wanting more money. Coming from a poor background will make someone want to make a lot of money for their future. And that's not wrong. But in the UFC someone has to be a star to be able to negotiate a fight contract. Dana White only wants to fulfill the wishes of fighters who can sell more tickets. That's why all fighters wanted to fight Conor in the past.

Muhammad Mokaev versus Manel Kape, they finished the fight enough to make many people feel bored.
There were several quite heated incidents during the weigh-in session before their title fight and when the fight was about to start, there were many people in the octagon to protect them.
I was quite impressed with both of them because after the fight was over and Muhammad Mokaev was declared the winner with unanimous decision, they were able to accept each other and Muhammad Mokaev was seen embracing Manel Kape.
But unfortunately, this was big victory for Muhammad Mokaev, who may not be able to get it again because of Dana decision not to renew Muhammad Mokaev contract with the UFC because he often created various commotions.

With all the build up and the stories of how these guys hate each other...  Yup.  So disappointing and so dumb how it turned out.  It looked like they were from the same gym that didn't want to fight each other. 

Anyway, on to the next event.  Here's a couple of vids to watch just to get yourself excited.  Lol.  This is by far the biggest test of Umar Nurmagomedov.  And with Sandhagen's line at 3.40...  It's very tempting imho.  Sandhagen is pretty good.  The lines should be closer imho.

Haha they keep their distance too much like fighters who have doubts about attacking, but that done by both of them and it not like other fights where they can really pressure each other to be able to launch every attack and corner the opponent.

This is the main event and it is indeed one that is quite interesting for many people, for some reason fighters who are related to Khabib Nurmagomedov or can be said to have sibling relationship with him can always create hype in every fight.
Cory Sandhagen vs Umar Nurmagomedov are two fighters who are eagerly awaited to meet and now they have prepared everything, Umar Nurmagomedov trains very hard and focuses on this fight in order to maintain his undefeated record.
But on the other hand, Sandhagen is strong fighter, he is ranked second in the UFC bantamweight class, this will make it difficult for Umar because Sandhagen himself also has fighting style with quite brutal punches and kicks.
We see how it will be in this fight, what is clear is that many people predict that Umar will be able to dominate the victory and really maintain his record.

I speculate that UFC took Chiesa on purpose, as he isnt much of a striker, so he wont TKO/KO Tony (and imho any punch today from a pro will crack Tonys crystal chin). Chiesa is a wrestler/bjj guy. Tony is also good at ground games. So they will spend most of time on the ground and I hope that Tony will open Chiesa or pull a magical move to make Chiesa tap. The odds on Tony vs Chiesa are good, as I think this time Tony might really win. I think it is worth to risk a couple of bucks on him this time.

Whatever the result of the fight later I will always respect Tony as one of the legends in Lightweight.

If it were someone else, UFC wouldn't wait for someone to have 8 consecutive losses. I think choosing Chiesa is almost a win already it will be good to add him in a parlay along with Nurmagomedov and Shara might just be a winning list. Maybe the undefeated Victoria Dudakova will make it as well.  (this fight already started)

Anything can happen though seeing Sandhagen was only submitted once in his UFC career while he has the tank to last which could likely be a decision.

So, this is the end for Tony Ferguson. 9th loss in a row and an end of his career. It was a hard decision for him. It was really hard for him to finally say that he retire, so he put only one glove in the octagon. He sure wants to continue, but even he understand that this is the end. Hope to see him soon wearing suit and giving a speech during entrance of hall-of-fame, he really deserve a spot there.

Yeah but Dana White has a no bs taken approach from fighters' managers.  And how could even we be sure that the PFL was offering something higher for Mokaev..?  It could just be the manager doing some shenanigans and that's what pissed him off and said to hell with it.  Same thing happened to Ngannou.  The UFC give him the best they could offer but it got rejected cos 'boxing' should be part of the deal.  And what of the PFL now?  They paid a lot of money for somebody who looks like he doesn't wanna fight in MMA anymore.  Lol.

Right now Mokaev is lowering his public rank and loosing his "cool" score with "Muhammad Mokaev Offers to Fight for Free to Rejoin UFC". Imho this not the right thing to do now. He openly offers Dana to wipe feet on himself. That is a huge fail and big no to do in business and negotiations. Now UFC can offer him to fight for food, while he can go to One FC or Rizin, return to bantamweight and join Bellator or as he is a resident of UK, he can join Cage Warriors.
