I'm thinking of selling my now 2 gen old GPUs. I checked sold listing on eBay as of yesterday and averaged the selling prices for the last few days.
Here is the issue with eBay. A wise miner once said "The best time to sell mining equipment is usually when its the highest chance of getting screwed" it might of been phil if I recall correctly. The reason why is because they usually side with the buyer and what happens is people buy ASICs or GPUs on eBay. Then shortly after the difficulty can go up or price can go down and it might not longer be profitable and they will just open up a Paypa dispute saying "GPUs are not as described" and you will have to accept the return and sometimes they bill you for the return shipping. Best is to just sell it on FB marketplace or Craiglist and get cash instead. Hence no refunds possible.better yet offer them here at bargain rates a 1080ti for 300usd. payable in btc. and sold here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=75.0is like selling one for 380 on eBay as the fees hurt your sale price I can help you with escrow. If you sell them here. pm me Appreciate the feedback all! Dumping them all here in the market place forum does sound pretty appealing, especially if someone would be interested in buying several all at once. The 1080Tis are almost all EVGA SC or SC2 ones. Would probably sell off the oddball ones on eBay, like my 4 MSI 1080Ti open loop water cooled ones since they are not really appealing to miners. Just about all cards have original boxes and all original accessories. I like the idea of having a mix of 1080Ti's, 5600's and 3080's. My rigs are all mostly identical Asus PRIME Z270-A mobos with those 2400W server PSU's that are 94% efficient I got from Parallel Miner a while back. I have never mined with AMD cards before, so that would be a whole new experience. I use Awesome Miner to manage all the rigs. Rigs are running mostly nvOC (Ubuntu) but a few are on Win10. I had all my rigs on MPT Zcoin for the better part of a year, and switched to ETH to catch this recent wave where I saw North of $175/day, but am now back to about $75/day with most rigs back on MPT as it is slightly more profitable for me. I'll put together a complete inventory list and PM you Phil.

I think the 3080 at a cost of $699 doing between 80 to 115 mhs on eth is more attractive than the 3090 at a cost of $1,499 doing 115 to 150 mhs on eth.
I personally don't see the 3090 doing 150 mhs and feel the roi is going to be significantly longer than the 3080's 10-12 months. If the 3090 ends on the lower end of eth performance your looking at potentially 2 plus years before it's paid off. For me I can't justify the difference in time to roi.
Well we are still guessing a bit on prices and hash rates. I put my name on this list for all models the 3070 the 3080, 3090. https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/graphics-cards/30-series/rtx-3090/So is the consensus here the estimated power savings from the 3000 series for the purposes of mining justifies dumping 1000 and 2000 series cards from Nvidia? Do we yet have some definitive or reasonable numbers that show effective power usages? I've seen estimates but nothing more than that at this stage. If I had a ton of 1080ti's and no better gear I would put some up for sale. I would put some of the sales on the side for the 3080 or 3090 I would buy this card now. https://www.newegg.com/msi-radeon-rx-5600-xt-rx-5600-xt-gaming-mx/p/N82E16814137571?I tried more then 9 amd models I like this one the most. I would try to become. ⅓ 1080ti ⅓ amd 5600 ⅓ nvidia 3080/3090 once I reached that goal I would sell the remaining 1080ti's and look at the big navi card or the 3080/3090 to put the rest of the 1080ti sales money into. For me and my team we are 12/13 1080ti 1 1080 1 1070 4 1660 1 1050ti and 25 new amd 5500,5600,5700 we may dump some 1080ti I'm considering finally making the switch to SMOS and currently considering options. I've got a mix of older RX480/580 cards that I plan to sell and it seems like that 5600XT a good replacement plus a sizeable mix of 1070/1070TI/1080s all of which have long been paid for/off in 6/7GPU configurations. Do you believe the power savings alone is going to be enough to justify going in the red short term to make the switch? It seems like it clearly would be in the case of the AMD cards. Well all my Nvidia are paid off. The amd will be paid for in under 100 days. And if you are in the usa you can be running them in a few days. The one on newegg would come to most of the USA by tues. https://www.newegg.com/msi-radeon-rx-5600-xt-rx-5600-xt-gaming-mx/p/N82E16814137571?They run very quiet and cool they are a longer card. On my 8 pcie boards I do 1 - msi 5600 2..... 3 - xfx 5600 4... 5 - msi 5600 6..... 7 - msi 5600 8 short visiontek/his 5500 Model Clocks Hashrate Pwr °C/Fan 0: Msi RX 5600 XT 6GB xxx-xxx-xxxx 1150/900 793mV 39.28 MH/s 1300mv/777mv 90 W 61°C / 66% 1: Xfx RX 5600 XT 6GB 113-150WO23NAVIXLE6 1150/900 787mV 39.27 MH/s 1300mv/777mv 87 W 67°C / 38% 2: Msi RX 5600 XT 6GB xxx-xxx-xxx 1150/900 800mV 39.26 MH/s 1300mv/777mv 83 W 60°C / 74% 3: Msi RX 5600 XT 6GB xxx-xxx-xxx 1150/900 793mV 39.26 MH/s 1300mv/777mv 85 W 60°C / 81% 4: His RX 5500 XT 8GB 113-D332 200/921 800mV 26.63 MH/s 1300mv/800mv 59 W 57°C / 41% 183.70 MH/s 544 W nice compact rig runs cool the long msi gets enough air. I have a quick look at filecoin mining, i read that nvidia is the go to card for mining (gpu is only part of the system that will mine).
also gpu need not be very powerful but not the low end kinds, there is high chances that 1080ti will do the job just about right.
if 1080ti can still make profits for you maybe keeping some is a good idea while waiting for filecoin main net.

I'd be interesting in taking a few 1080 Ti's out of your hands if price is good and shipping to Serbia doesn't kill the deal.

I know you use SMOS -- you done any messing with Hive or Hashr8 OS? I've been reading up on them and see they are newer players. Hive seems to have some competitiveness to me while Hashr8 seems to be less as refined since it's younger. I have a thread 🧵 ripper 1920x with 8 sticks ram 128gb.
It has three vegas making a few dollars.
Digging this up as I happen to have a couple of thread rippers myself. I assume you added XMR mining to this rig? I've been on the fence about using one for that. Why the 128GB?

Why the 128GB? amazon fucked up a listing on amazon warehouse. so I purchased 256gb ram for 600 bucks. well 128gb for 300 on 2 occasions. this is a stupid cheap price . And if I resell the rigs I can get a decent price with the 128gb ram tossed in. as you simply can not buy 128gb ram used or new for as low as 300 bucks.

Very sorry to hear about your wife, hope she recovers soon. This year has sucked for sure with everything. I don't think I know anyone right now that is not struggling. I just started looking at NHOS a bit ago, think I might mess with it soon. Might also try Hive. It looks like Hashr8 os is gone, like literally gone. Their os page throws an SSL error and now redirects to main blog home page of their site and no longer mentioning the OS? I was just looking at it yesterday too.

Pulled these estimates from the site that Vosk used in his latest video which I didn't find to informing. https://cryptoage.com/There are some numbers that look like they could do a decent ROI if they ring true and prices hold up.
