Anybody tried to oc it?
Mine will arrive on wednesday.....
Can the cards get more power throught the pci bus?
Did anybody checked the machine from this prespective?
Dc-dc, voltage regulatros, others?
I'm very curious....
Your is batch1 or batch2? Just wondering if batch2 is out already Batch 2: April 10th Im a batch 2 order, and if noone overclocks it first I might have to take the plunge. Should be lots of headroom in the components, but it may be necessary to use some sort of powered (with 12AWG wires) riser solution to get the boards up out of the case for better cooling Mine is batch 1. I wouldn't use risers, i think i'll make custom heatsinks and high cfm fans. Heatsink will be this: http://www.fischerelektronik.de/web_fischer/en_GB/heatsinks/A09/Fin%20coolers/PR/KTE2_/index.xhtml;jsessionid=5F73345D9883E646BCDE77C3D3D5D73DI can order it in custom sizes. The fans will be high cfm sunons, i posted it already in this topic. Server psu 2100w at 12v. I'm only afraid of dc-dc, regulators and other components. I'll do my best...

How would you install this in the current chasis? There isn't a lot of room left between the boards with the current heatsyncs.

How would you install this in the current chasis? There isn't a lot of room left between the boards with the current heatsyncs. Unfortunetly I saw S2 just on pictures yet (mine will arrive on wednesday so i can make exact mesurements) , but as i see there is about 1.5cm more from the end of the existing heatsinks. That is enough. At a heatsink doesn't only the size is important. If you can fit heatsink with more lamells you'll get much higher surface to blow the warm air out. I can order them with custom sizes so i can fit as big as possible. Sorry english is not my first language, it's hard to tell what am i thinking about but hope you know what i mean.

You quoted the scammer's post, repeating the info... all posts quoting that account will probably be deleted... Edit: your post 2 posts above also quotes the original... maybe edit it or it'll probably also be removed... Edit2: ahhh, already done

I have a server PSU im currently getting ready to handle lots of PCI connectors. I would love to see more photos of the PCB, since at least the TPS53355 regulators seem abundant enough that overclocking should not be a problem for them. The design is pretty simple other than that for a S1, so I imagine the S2 is similar which means OC/OV should be the exact same methods but very successful. Those heatsinks would be a lot better - if you get them made let me know I would suggest not having too many fins, because the S1 heatsink is a jagged dust-trap because of how many fins it has

Anyone managed to push theirs past 225? Every time I 250, it jumps up to 1275W in, but beeps constantly and eventually drops back down in 5-10 seconds.
Edit: At 225M I get 1153GH/s using 1148W using an EVGA 1300W G2 on 115V. It will probably be a little better on 240V, but I don't have per-outlet metering on my PDU and I wanted to get power measurements using my KillAWatt.

I was thinking about the pci slots, i did't saw on the pictures but as i seen the cards are sucking the power throught the pci slots. But if they get it throught pci-e power connectors for every card that would be the best... If they suck throught the pci slots i'm a bit afraid the layers and the connections of the pcb too, if you give them too much power. I'll drop a picture with the custom heatsinks as soon as i get them, but first i have to measure the sizes, then order them, then make the holes for the cards.... Some fine works. A lot fins are fine, just use as powerful fan as you can so there is no chance of the dust to stay there . But of course if I can get a lot of more hash from the machine i will clean it with a big smile on my face every month.

Mr Teal: You can plug a killawatt directly into 220, it works. my S2 clocked 200 volts 220.2 amps 4.72 watts 1022 hash 1020

Are the fans running with 1022w being pulled? If so, what speed? Seems there is some pretty serious variance between machines.

To get it running @ +225Mhz I would suggest to up the voltage to 0.85V... Get out your pencil!!
