Must admit I thought the price of WC would collapse after the first 24hrs, once the initial confirmation delay shortage was over, but it seems I was totally wrong - BTC84 daily volume on Bittrex as I write, and I see the average price on leaserig.net has reached BTC0.09/Mh/day. Compare even that to Multipool's average earnings over the last 3days of BTC0.0040/MH/day and its pretty impressive but I do wonder how sustainable it is Hedging my bets and selling 50% of the WC I'm mining every few hours atm. Yeah, I thought the same.. I have no idea why people are so crazy about this coin, but ok..

Its funny i was coming here to ask if you guys were selling or holding.
I am holding a large portion. The difficulty has already gone over the maximum difficulty blackcoin did.

I sold all of my WC too early also. Didn't want what happened to ISR to happen to WC.
Any idea if Asia Coin will be a big hit? Alot of hype but these country coins all seem to eventually fail.

AsiaCoin seems like it could be, but only time will tell It isn't too late to keep mining WC -- profitability in terms of btc/mh/day has still been extremely high today, and that will continue to be the case as long as the price keeps outpacing the difficulty.

AsiaCoin seems like it could be, but only time will tell i will move my miners across to AC once it starts hitting 10000 per block... Any plan to move the main pool across to AC IPO?

We'll see how AsiaCoin is looking when it hits block 1000 and make a decision then. WC is currently amazing though, so it will be a very hard call to move off it.

Too bad you can't load balance the multiport. :/

Well, we *can* load balance the multiport right now.. the display just won't be updated and half the people would be asking "why am I getting coin X when it says the multiport is on coin Y" But regardless of that, it would still be a tough call to mine something other than WC at the moment. Those are the toughest calls we make at ipoMiner actually.. when to stop mining a guaranteed win to mine something that /could/ be better.

We're seeing record breaking hashrates today with WhiteCoin mania -- over 5GH/s on the multiport! We're going to upgrade the pool server in 15 minutes, at 9:30PM Eastern time. Expected downtime is less than 5 minutes.

I don't know if other people agree with me or not, but in my opinion feel free to make a post here (or send an email out to people currently hashing on the Multiport) polling for opinions when you think it's a toss up between 2 or more coins. I don't expect you to have perfect knowledge and in the case of virtual currencies I think majority rules is a decent way to decide on what is a likely to be profitable (at least in the short term). I'm very happy with your management of the pool for the time I've been mining here, but I certainly won't think any less of you if you ask the pool's opinion when it comes to tough calls. Now that I think about it, I'd rather you send a polling email to currently hashing members (is that possible?). I don't want this thread to become a place for bag holders to spam why their coin is so likely to succeed.

I'd like to give the load-balancing a try myself, I think this has the potential to be really powerful feature to enhance the profitability of the pool.

Would it be possible to go to more of a shift based model, maybe hand out different coins to different people, and then mete out the coins rewarded based on the amount of work done? Wouldn't a difficulty x of one coin take the same amount of work as a difficulty x of another? Or am I completely mistaken about how it works?
Then, if someone returned say 1% of the overall shares no matter which coin they were mining, at the end of the shift they could be credited with 1% of each of the different coins that were found.
Work could be spread out in a weighted way to send more hash power to more profitable coin, without blowing the difficulty. Personally, I'd rather get half the blocks for a quarter of the hashing power and then send the other 3 quarters of the power somewhere else. The last thing we want to do is crush the coin and send the diff through the roof, resulting in everyone getting a smaller piece of a slightly larger pie.
Also, is the ECC port down? I can't connect anymore.

There's an issue with the ECC port at the moment.. after restarting the server for the memory upgrade, the ECC wallet process doesn't want to start up cleanly. I'm upgrading the code to their latest github version and will debug after that.. will let you know when that's up.
