@saykor The formula is: ((blockreward * 86400) / (currentdifficulty * 2^32 / hashrate)) * price To find btc/mh/day, just use the given formula with 1000000 as the hashrate. Here's a basic example in Python to calculate profitability in btc/mh/day. If you want to calculate total profit for your own hashrate, just change mhash from 1 to 5, or whatever your hashrate in MH/s is. http://pastebin.com/Fk2RTpQfThank you. Now I can add a calculator on my future site.

Sorry, big thread, so this may have been covered already ...
I've got all my miners pointing to 3432 (WC), but the site shows me as mining what the multiport is mining ... I triple checked, and they are all pointing to 3432 ... is this just a display error on the site, or am I actually mining the wrong coin despite pointing straight to WC?

Whitecoin stopped mining right before this post. No more WC mining. I am betting 3432 is not Bluecoin port

no block found on blue with 3644.7 MH/s Round time is stuck on 0h0m, my guess is we're finding blocks and the frontend is just not updating. Seems to happen often when we first switch coins or when changes are being made to the site. I'm sure ipo will have it fixed soon.

Hey team, I think I found a solid candidate for your first SHA-based coin. I know you've been considering SHA for a while. Enter Zimstake! POW+POS. First 55 blocks have a reward of 55 to discourage instamining. Rewards of 512 beyond that. 12% annual POS forever. Min stake age is 12h. Fun meme, but very serious dev heading the project (the same dev who took over SHAcoin). Most of the SHAcoin community is already behind him in his efforts on this new coin.

Looks like you guys have found plenty of blocks now.
I'd like to hear Ipominer's reasoning for changing the multipool to BLU. He usually only does that if he thinks it's a likely win.

It had to be changed to something because there's no more WC blocks left. He must have felt BLU was a better bet than YC right now. Is anyone else having problems with auto payouts for BLU? Mine don't seem to be working.

I've been doing some more PoS coin calculations, have a look at my previous posts and below for the method but I have the following target prices for coins: CINNI = BTC0.00030000 (currently 0.00010000) WC = BTC0.00003000 (currently 0.00001100) AC = BTC0.00001500 (currently 0.00000880) Sharing my thinking for input on the eternal hold/sell question, with these coins I have been selling 50% of what I mine and holding the rest, waiting for those target prices. If anyone has suggestions for the calculations I'd like to hear it! Bit too early for me to analyse BLU, but here's some numbers for YC. Calculating total coincap is complicated because of the mixed PoW/PoS phase: - Currently at block 18300 with 21.3M coins mined, so 12k blocks left in the PoW phase.
- Seems about 10% of blocks have 4k reward so another 4.8M coins, lets call it 26M at the end of PoW
- 1M, i.e. 4% of total YC being given away at the end of PoW by the devs in this promotion so its worth taking a cpl of min to register
- 9 days of 10% interest daily PoS mining follow, which will take total coincap to 61.3M
Critical figure is the estimated global investment in YC after day 18, when new coin stop entering the exchanges in significant amounts. Its completely subjective based on my comparison with other, similar coins, dev effort/marketing, exchange penetration, etc, etc. I'm not rating YC that highly so I say BTC2000 - feel free to substitute your own figure 61.3M YC therefore means: YC = BTC0.00003260 (currently 0.00001065)

Been enjoying the earnings, almost 0 rejects and those are on my side. BLU doesn't want to seem to withdraw though, been pending for a while, X option is still there though. Edit: I clicked the X and tried again and it worked.

Why am I sooooo friggin' bad at this?!? I was mining CINNI for two days straight on the direct port, and when it went up to where my daily returns were good, like an idiot, I sold. And then it goes up another 200-300%. Aaaahhhh!!!
I wish you guys would offer a managed portfolio or at least give us some clues on a target price for a given coin.

I was thinking this too haha. Take a x% cut, and just pay out in whatever coin/BTC. Then we just point our miners to the unique port for this option, and they pay out at X amount. I'd try it out.

I think the idea behind ipo miner is you don't sell the coins mined right away. You have to wait for it to go up!

How much up is the question? WC is going up, and if I sold now I could make a respectable 0.007 BTC/MH over the last 5 days... But I'm going to resist the opportunity for now. Grrrrrr.
