Why would you sell an altcoin right at the very bottom

I am not doing it. I will wait to the price to rise back even just a little. Selling your tokens at the very bottom is like you just throw you money off and don't want something in return. Try atleast make a little profits before it.

For me personally, I will not sell my coins when the price is in the lower position because for me, I invest in a coin to make a profit and if I sell it when the price of the coin is below the same I do not get anything from what I do or you could say I just wasted my time and money just to get a loss. When in that position maybe I would prefer to hold it but in reality when I see the price of my coins fall and I expect to fall again, there I will take the decision to cut losses.

There still no altcoins season yet. I think you guys should stop dreaming about altcoin season, keep dreaming and your investment will become zero soon. We've been few months from this thread and there no altcoin season, only new lower price season. Dont hope about altcoin season, i bet even that season happen, holding old altcoin will never make you guys be rich.

Inside investors minds, selling isn't an options as you are aiming for a much better outcome. Research and you'll not be afraid holding your coins

The point is that the vast majority of altcoins have lost practically all their value, and the probability that they will repurchase it at least in part is very small.

You really need to follow and study the project you are following very well to see if it has a lot of future potentials, so if it has you hodl tight and load up on the dumps, sell on the all-time highs, rinse and repeat on each retrace and make profits and grow a bigger bag. If I had known this in the last bear market I would have been rich, but I believe we always can be given a second chance. We need to educate ourselves well around the coin we are trading.

   Some people sell at bottom because they lose trust in the project. Some people sell because they need cash for other stuff.
We can't generalize this matter, each of us is free to do what we think it's the best for us.
   I understand what you mean by saying "other chance". You are here longer then us, and you didn't expect the rise in 2017.

It makes no logical sense to sell an altcoin right at the very bottom of a market cycle.  Look I know its very painful to see that altcoin you love some much cause you so much grief, and not to mention checking your altcoin account balance looks like a scene from a horror movie.  But I am here to tell you, to hold strong, keep the faith and ride this altcoin storm as we are about to hit a very sweet spot in the market cycle where altcoins will explode in value.  Almost every altcoin is extremely oversold when comparing it to previous altcoin ATH (all time highs) and not to mention when comparing it to the bitcoin rally of late.

I don't sell my token at the bottom of price but I can guess why some people it. If you find very interesting projects which price will pump or Binance IEO coin, you should sell at bottom price for instant profits. Or somehow you realize that you are in scam project so should leave before price is goes to null.

If I go to lose the rest of the trade in the bear market, I will make a smart choice and sell the rest of the trade for protecting the balance. Otherwise, losing balance is the worst case. I don't want to be trapped in the bottom of the market, the other altcoins need investors too.

it is logically impossible for someone to sell their coins right at the lowest price, unless someone is pressed for economic needs or something else. for me personally will not do that, I believe that the investment that I have will be profitable in the future. so, for me to sell when the market is bad is not a good idea.

a lot of those who do that they sell altcoin at low prices and it will only make themselves lose but when they make sales at cheap prices they already understand the risks and the possibility that he is in need of money and is very important.

We're hoping for future and observing from past. Every altcoins can't satisfied us, we know that. Sometimes holding isn't good, if new interesting coin IEO on Binance exchange. Short term but very good profits. We're entering altcoins season by launching Ethereum blockchain 2.0 and top coin halving.

I'm not sure if the altcoin price will go up everything. maybe you mean there are some altcoins that will get progress later because we all know that every day more and more altcoins have been launched and the latest altcoins have clearer prospects and promises to provide benefits over the altcoins we hold today, and hopefully the altcoins we hold are now not invaluable coins later.

This is a very good question and any trader who sells his or her altcoins at the bottom must have a vivid reason for doing that but i beleive anyone who does that must have seen that the project is about waxing off or exiting scam. Though i believe some also sell when they meet unexpected expenses which they need to cater for

There is a price cycle in the market. This is a cruel market for novices. You buy at a high price and you sell at a low price. If you don't want to do this, you need to do some good research and improve yourself. Altcoins are subject to much speculation.

Logically, if it's at the "very bottom" as you say, than that means it either cannot decline any further, or it's completely dead (e.g. has no liquidity.)

Based on this, selling at the true bottom would be pretty stupid since it can only recover from there, whereas if the network is dead, selling will be impossible.

However, you're forgetting that nobody knows when the bottom is. Some people have held for so long that it feels like recovery is never going to happen, so it's best to cut your losses early.

I would say these are the smart(er) ones, since coins in this position rarely recover.

If the project still alive, you have the reason to hold the coin just ignore the price because it will rise the price naturally at the right time   you only need to be patient but if the project is totally dead not reasonable to hold that coin and sell it asap and find another good projects.

If the demand was lost and you can't see your coin on news and maybe your friends do out for the altcoin you have then do it also because by the demand, the altcoin was not like bitcoin that has a bigger chance to recover its price.
