This was the expected result. There is no hope that Barcelona will win. But they had the ability to draw. But they have shown very lightning performance. Their defense was very messy. The defense needed to be more stable before performing against a strong team. Chelsea were really effective in attacking against Zenit yesterday. Even Werner scored two goals in this game. However, they still couldn't prevent Zenit from scoring the same amount of goals as them and getting one point. As Juventus defeated Malmo, they lost their leadership to Juventus unfortunately. I say like that because I was favoring Chelsea for the 1st position at the end of the group stage.

I think the Chelsea players were getting to excited and always wanting to score and not defending. The players need to know what their roles are on the pitch. I understand that the coach didn't want to risk anymore injuries. Otherwise Sarr & Christensen are too average. Chelsea only have depths in attack otherwise in midfield & Defence they are poor. Once Chalaboah, Thiago & Rudiger are not playing they get exposed. Same with Christensen if he is not along side Rudiger or Thiago we all see how average he is. Poor defensive organization, they were playing without a leader at the back. It is extremely annoying and appalling. Something has to be done very fast before it will get out of hand. Very bad 6 goals was conceded in just 3 matches.

Or maybe Chelsea had their minds on their next Premier League game which is against Leeds. Because I wouldn't expect such a poor performance from Chelsea against a team like Zenit, no offense.    Because their usual game plan and performance are much better than this one. And if they did care about ending this stage as the leader, I've no doubt that they would have put a much bigger effort in this game.

Remember, there will be also transfer window in January where any team can improve their squad by purchasing some new players. So even if Real Madrid will be playing against Chelsea/PSG, it does not mean that it will be an easy opponent for Real Madrid.

It was a wonderful game to watch but a bit unexpected at the same time. Bayern managed to win and Barcelona is going to europa right now, I am sure that is not something europa teams would love to hear but it has finally happened.

I do not remember the last time they were this bad to be honest, must have been over a decade since they were not going to next stage, or maybe I am just not remembering any time. Bayern on the other hand, I was really expecting Lewandowski to score many games because of the ballon dor thing, and he didn't at all, it was a weird one because of it, I totally expected him to demonstrate why he deserved in that game, and he failed to do so.

Tuchel lost the top spot in his group in a very strange way.. and returned with a draw from outside the ground, placing him second after Juventus.

PSG has already spent a lot of money and has good players, I doubt they bring any player that is better than the players currently on PSG, chelsea has good players too and I doubt they blush in despair for any player... chelsea is with a problem in defense maybe it's tired, but even if they get better I doubt they'll beat the real madrid, PSG don't have a chance unless they change coach and the players stop being lazy

Indeed, it would be better for Real Madrid to avoid such hard games in this stage since its outcome might be upsetting for everyone.
"Bad shape" is so variable thing, from day to day, from national to international games, depends from injuries, manager decisions...etc
Until then, many things could happen to every team there, so better to wait after the upcoming transfer window to have a clearer vision.

Chelsea's poor form is understandable given that they have lost the majority of their key players to injury at the most crucial time of the season; Tuchel was forced to play James in midfield in their last game; so many players have been forced to play out of position that I'm confident that by the time the Knockout phase arrives, the majority of the players will be back on their feet.

PSG's continuous troubles in important games is something I don't understand; they have world-class players in every position and yet they continue to fall short of expectations.

I have no idea what's going on.

Real Madrid has been winning games not because they were the best team, but because they took advantage of the few opportunities they had. They are one of the teams Chelsea most wants to play.

I expected Bayern to score more goals in the second half but they just scored 1. After all receiving only 3 goals from Bayern twice is an achievement these days for them..

Sevilla are a very familiar team with the Europa League. When we look at the history of this tournament in last 10 years, we can see that Sevilla won the cup for 4 times. This is really a great achievement for them. They threaten their opponents by these successes but who knows maybe they won't even be able to leave the coming stage behind successfully.

With the end of the Atalanta-Villarreal match, the group stages of the champions league came to an end.  An unexpected defeat came from Atalanta.  Villarreal managed to win away.  The match ended 3-2 and Atalanta scored 2 goals in the last 10 minutes.  Maybe if they had scored earlier, they could have won a draw or a win.

I got bored when I saw that Villarreal made the score in favour of them by 3-0 until the first minutes of the second half already. But Atalanta's attempt to turn the game around was really worth watching. They scored two goals in only nine minutes and made it 3-2. And there were still at least ten minutes to go. A probable one more goal by Atalanta would change everything about this match. But it didn't happen and Villarreal beat them by this score.
