I agree with you. Having extra star players is not always beneficial for a team. Unless players can build a friendly relationship between each other. An example of this is the Manchester United team. Lots of star players on the team yet the performance is like an average quality team. The coach is not able to stabilize the team.
If PSG management gets Zidane as their coach then it will be very good for their team. He is very experienced. At the same time, the team will benefit if Ramos or Messi takes over as captain. Because they are senior and experienced players.

In fact, it seems to me that PSG had better results when the big three, Messi, Mbappe and Neymar, did not play together. 
It's no secret that none of them three really like to play in defense and in a way it's always a problem for PSG when they play against top European teams in the Champions League.

PSG - Real Madrid would definitely be a great game. These teams both like to play an attacking football. Taking this into account, we might watch many goals in both of the games of the draw. It is actually very hard for me to predict which team is going to win because on paper PSG looks mighty strong but when we compare the results I think we can say that the results are pretty mediocre considering their squad.

From their 6 meetings, Real Madrid have an advantage over Paris Saint-Germain, but this is a different situation. In the Champions League, I see Real Madrid is not an easy team to beat. They can always come back with a win.

I can agree with you that PSG has a stronger squad, but talking about them being more motivated, I'll have to disagree, PSG aren't even playing like a coherent team in the UCL just yet, and they didn't have an excellent group stage either, I know the CL is their ultimate goal, but just having a strong desire isn't enough, pochettino needs to work on the mentality of his boys, they just have to blend as a team if they are to have any chance of winning the CL.

Madrid on the other hand are favorites to win the tie, and also one of the favorites to win the CL, the combination between Benzema and V. Junior is working wonders, they look like a real team and more fired up to get the victory over PSG.
