Though Inter Milan is doing well in the Italian league title race and are occupying their first slot in the table but though they are not comfortable there because they are just 1 point above their serious contenders.
Inter has only one point advantage, but also one game less than second-placed AC Milan. Before the weekend, Inter had even a bigger lead, before they narrowly lost the derby 1-2 in a good match against AC Milan. You can't compare teams based on their rankings in their respective leagues because the leagues are not well comparable with each other. If that's what it's all about, then the English champion should have clearly won the Champions League for years.

They will face a stronger team than Milan in the champions league. They need more than just the game they played in Milan to beat Liverpool. With this defeat, he lost an important 3 points in the league. If he wins in Napoli today, we can say that Inter will close the week with a loss of 9 points.

For Liverpool vs Inter i think first leg could be the advantages for Inter because playing at home some people predict Inter will playing offensive because if they win Inter one step a head went to quarterfinal but during the history on european competition both of teams has been met 4 times with Liverpool 3 times win and Inter once time win this proves that Liverpool not easy opponent for Inter and if we see this statistic most likely Liverpool are the favourite in this match

If we learned one thing from Champions League games when Liverpool is involved, it is that after the first leg nothing is won or lost! I guess you can all recall the game against Barcelona when the first leg was 3 - 0 for Barcelona and Liverpool did turn it around. They are a team that can make the impossible possible. Therefore, Inter is well advised to win the first one and play as concentrated in the second one. Definitely a great match for soccer fans!

it's not for sure Inter are a very strong team, but they are a crazy team a team that can lose to the lowest in the standings and have a great match against the strongest team in the world I honestly can't (for decades) understand how this team works I just know that he spends a lot of money with no results

It looks like the UEFA Champions League is getting another update sooner or later. This time it is not about adding additional clubs to the competition, but UEFA president Aleksander Čeferin announced the following on a possible "final four" format, which could be one the way for the season 2024/2025 onwards: We haven't yet discussed this properly because of the pandemic. But my opinion is it would be great. It should be more competitive and more interesting for the fans.
It's a simple equation to solve - we would just need to compensate clubs for the revenue they would lose from hosting the semi-final matches. That is possible. It would come in for the 2024-25 season at the earliest" Source: https://twitter.com/iMiaSanMia/status/1490341840192774149We will have to see how a "final four" format would be designed, I am curious how the developments in this regard will continue in the coming months. Maybe this could finally be a meaningful improvement to the UEFA Champions League.

I would guess that it would actually help them? Like in a "we have to win this because we lost to Milan, two back to back bad wins would hurt us and fans will be mad" type of situation? Obviously you could try to play as well as you hope and could end up losing as well. I am not saying that they could end up losing or winning or anything here, the result is still unknown and we have no idea. However, at the very least we know that they will do their best. They could be great, they could be horrible but we all know that they will go out there and play with 100% in order to win. If Liverpool ends up not caring enough or thinking Inter can't win or something like that, then Inter actually has a good chance.

I expect a lot of surprise in this champions league edition , chelsea to win it back to back for instance . Why disrupt the current status of the competitions if things were just going on fine? Before we realize it, they will be suggesting that the tournament be played in one city. What make champion's league remarkable is those home and away games

I wonder from what year you wrote this message? I haven't seen any magic from Messi either this year or last. As for the teams, they will play the first match in suboptimal lineups and suboptimal form. For one of the teams, this will be fatal - as one team will go further, and the second, which also planned the peak of form for the later stages of the Champions League, will leave the tournament. I agree, Messi’s magic seems to have disappeared since he came to Paris I read somewhere that Messi is not yet fully ready due to health problems, that he is unhappy in Paris, has no friends, doesn't know the language, that he uses every opportunity to visit Barcelona etc. It seems to me that Real is a more complete team than PSG and has a better chance of winning. PSG have too many stars in the team, Messi, Neymar and Mbappe, who think they are bigger than the team, don't like to help teams in defense etc. Against weaker teams this is not a problem but against top teams like Manchester City or Real, it is a serious problem in the game. Messi has been playing in the same team all his life in the same formation, so it is difficult for him to adapt. Plus the biggest reason is age. As for problems with language and lack of friends, it sounds doubtful - there are a lot of Spanish-speaking players in PSG and a lot of those whom Messi has known for a long time. I think he will have more problems with socialization if he returns to Argentina than in any European club.

I don't see how a new format will improve the competitiveness of the league but I like how straightforward he is with the solution. Just give them more money so they will agree hehe. I don't think the change is for the fans either...it's getting more money from the fans.

I won't compare him to Ronaldo because it's silly and hackneyed, but I agree about the adaptation. To play for one club for so many years and then move to another club and continue to play at the same level is very difficult. It`s unlikely about the language, I`m sure they all talk to each other, they just don`t have the chemistry yet. I've seen many moments when Messi was in an open position but they just did not give him a pass because they did not understand that thay had to do so.

Didn't he score 4 times or so so far? Let's see how he will be doing during the final stage games. Ligue 1 seems to not really be representative of his actual performance. I think he isn't really that motivated in Ligue 1.

It has been quiet for a while but in 1,5 week the Champions League will start again. I am looking forward to the match between PSG and Real Madrid. It may be that Messi is out of shape, but a player like Messi can suddenly play the stars of heaven and make 3. Which I still see happening against Madrid. Messi has already scored many goals against Madrid. It is time for PSG to win the CL with this team.

With Luis Suarez been back it's going to be trouble for Manchester United defense. Although Manchester United has Ronaldo, who has denied Athletico Madrid Champions on double occasions. Had a goal against Barcelona already, coming back from a long time injury.

I can't be expecting Messi not to perform properly in the beginning of the champions league, thats impossible; Psg can't lose to Madrid no matter what except thier stars ain't gonna play in that; the likes of Messi, Neymar, mbappe who is leaving next season.we are expecting something huge this time around from the champions league

It certainly is. Every team is great. PSG, Real Madrid, Manchester City are the three biggest candidates. Every team has the potential to become a champion. Look at Ajax, how they played great in their group. You see, Ajax made it to the final. Anything is possible in the champions league. Still, my favorites will be PSG and Manchester City.
The teams that qualified for the last 16 are great teams that cannot be underestimated at all, just like benfica, many people suspect that benfica will only end up in the group phase because they are joined with bayern munchen and barcelona, but the evidence is that they were even able to get rid of barcelona to first time in the last 10 years from of the champions league, apart benfica, it looks like ajax will also give a lot of surprises this season in the round of 16, and my opinion bayern münchen and liverpool are strong candidates to win the champions league this season. Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Manchester City, Paris SG are the most important candidates. This year the Champions League is much more exciting. I agree with you. Teams such as Benfica and Ajax are not shown as favorites, but they can make big surprises. Especially Ajax in the their group matches made 6/6 and collected 18 points. They can also show a successful graphic in the qualifiers. Benfica, on the other hand, created the impression of a team playing well, beating Barça. No one denies that Benfica or Ajax are strong enough and able to go through one or two stages of the Champions League, but I have very big doubts that these clubs are able to win the Champions League in the end. Anything can happen in football, of course, and we love it for that, but with all due respect to these teams, it's hard for me to imagine that they have enough reserve strength and strength to successfully overcome all the remaining stages of the tournament. The only thing is that during the draw of the subsequent stages, the clear favorites of the entire tournament will face, such as the current pair of Paris Saint Germain against Real Madrid, and Benfica or Ajax, on the contrary, will be lucky with the tournament grid.

it is normal that he is not in shape they play too many games, quantity is preferred over quality and the quality of the matches and the show is affected unfortunately the quantity does not interest me so I understand the problems facing Messi, it's not his fault

Last season in Spain, Messi played as badly as he plays now at PSG (at least he was criticized for having frequent "pedestrian" sessions when he played passively and waited for clean balls). And Ronaldo is also subject to age, no matter how sad it may be. Both players are playing worse than they did 3 years ago, there is nothing to deny about that.

With Luis Suarez been back it's going to be trouble for Manchester United defense. Although Manchester United has Ronaldo, who has denied Athletico Madrid Champions on double occasions. Had a goal against Barcelona already, coming back from a long time injury.
Although Luis Suarez is 35 years old, he is still quite productive and remains a mainstay player at Atletico. It is proven that Luis Suarez can score goals when Atletico are defeated by Barcelona, so the Man United defense must really marking Suarez well. Moreover, we know Man United's defense is very bad this year, Man United defenders often make mistakes. Therefore, when dealing with Atletico, Man United must improve their defense line to play more solidly. Atlético will be playing at home for the first leg, so the chances of winning are a bit much bigger than Man United. Actually Atletico's game has also decreased this season, so this season Atletico have also played less consistently. Therefore, I think the Atletico vs Man United match is quite difficult to predict, there will be a possibility of the match ending in a draw if both teams play too carefully.

Really the fact that Luis Suarez continues to have good performances, despite his age, is an asset for Atlético de Madrid. But I think Atlético de Madrid needs to start letting go of these players who have been with the club for many, many years. Since they are making room for new players and the emergence of a newer style of play, which will allow Altetico to take the leap it needs to become a more competitive club internally and externally. Another thing they should do is change coaches. But that is far from happening.
