I guess Juventus also signed Ronaldo in order to make some money with him. As far as i remember the transfer fee that Juventus paid was very high but i could imagine that it paid off for them nonetheless because of the sales of the jerseys with Ronaldo on it's back and of course also the overall income from marketing and merchandise because of this transfer.
