Madrid's defense is very fragile, Manchester City managed to open a goal quickly, this can actually destroy the mental game of a team as a whole, but Madrid is a team that has a lot of experience on the European stage, it is proven that they are able to rise to chase a deficit and credit also deserves to be given to Karim  Benzema, he is really really great and makes the difference, this season Benzema has given a lot of positive roles in every game that Madrid goes through.

That's what I said before Real Madrid weakness is only in defence they are lucky to have Benzema a player who has experience in all competitions
Benzema can motivate other players even under pressure he always does it in every match especially in important matches

It was a interesting game, and I think the two teams performed so well. Looking at the game, the both teams played so well and it was a good win by Manchester city, they were the favorite team to win the match and they delivered. Madrid performance in the game wasn't expected by me, there performance was incredible, and they make the game somehow tougher for Manchester city. To me, I don't think Madrid can qualify to the final of the UEFA champions league, though it's football anything can happen. looking at Manchester city game today, there performance was remarkable and they dominated the game, gained the possession. There only problem in the game was there defends, and they were easily pressured by real Madrid, so I think they need to work on their mistakes, amend it to secure a perfect victory in their next game.

Despite both teams doing very well, Real Madrid ended up being very lucky, sharing some decent mistakes and Man City many missed goalscoring opportunities.

Real Madrid today was saved if I could say so, they managed to escape with 1 goal difference although City opportunities. No they have to play PSG scenario again in Madrid but City is a fierce opponent, way harder than PSG. The 2nd leg game will be hell!

2 penalty goals that were successfully executed by Benzema and 1 V. junior goal made Madrid able to catch up with Man City. The second LEG later (on 5/5 which will be held in Santiago) will determine whether Madrid will be able to advance to the final or even Man City will advance to the final. I agree that both teams still have a great chance of reaching the final.

I was boasting here and there about Real Madrid and I underestimated Manchester city until I checked again right before the beginning of the match, I had a rethink and I was doubting if Real Madrid will be able to counter Manchester city and luckily, they did well even when they lost, I still considered it as a victory, by the time they meet in Santiago, there is possibility of 2-1 that will balance back the aggregate and from there to PK which will be in favor of Real Madrid.
By the way, Benzema has become top goal scorer currently, let's hope it continues to favor them, it will be a 2 victory celebriation if they win champions league.

There have have talks that Manchester City would eliminate Real Madrid from the Champions League this season. Given the fact that, Manchester City have the hunger and Pep Guardiola is looking to make history in this team with the Champions league and they've always come so close but soon get eliminated. Now, they seem to have a shot if they can displace Real Madrid and getting all 3 points in the first leg is a chance though, not so much a good one as its just a goal difference and Real Madrid could get that over with. Manchester City could have added more goals because, they had the chance and lots of it but seemed to have wasted them all. I doubt they would have same luck in the second half.

If the game had ended with a score of 4-2 in favor of Manchester City I would have agreed with you, bur fortunately for Real Madrid the final goal of Benzema put the game 4-3 which is good enough for Real Madrid to still have a chance to move forward and reach the final, however it is not going to be easy, Manchester City is very powerful when they are attacking and Real Madrid will have to take greater risks to score the goal they need, meaning that the next game promises to be as exciting as the one we just saw today.

It will be an exciting game in which both teams will be looking to score first. Exactly, the match was very interesting, they are all aggressive. The aggregate of 4-3 right now is still unpredictable to decide which one will be the winner and go to the Final. As we know that Real Madrid will play at home later and I am sure that they will not miss again the chance to make more scores. But as you say, City is also different from PSG or even other previous opponents. City is more consistent and also more aggressive. I really hope that Real Madrid will have the chance to continue to the final. But I am also aware that City is a hard opponent to fight. It'll be exactly a hell match of the decision later. The team called Real Madrid is very well rooted and experienced in champions league. The individual players like Cavaja, Kroos, Casimero, Modric, Benzema just to mention but a few has deep knowledge of champions league and that is helping the team alot. Apart from the individual experience, the club itself has an awesome champions league experience and history, that alone gives them the confidence to face any team squarely.

Apart from what I said above, it will be quiet difficult for any team not to suffer in the hands of Manchester City when they got two goals in 10mins into the game. With two goals against, many teams would have been disorganised. But Real Madrid organised themselves and played the game. It was a real fine night of beautiful football. 
I expected Manchester City to rush Madrid and get early goals and they did exactly, but what they didn't handle well was how to prevent Benzema from scoring.

In the second leg, both teams have chances since their is not champions league away goals rule anymore. I tip that Real Madrid will qualify because they will not allow early goals again. Also, Real Madrid is not bothered about laliga anymore while Manchester City is still battling with Liverpool in England, that can be a big distraction.

Yes, Manchester City are very ambitious to win the champions league title this season, they continue to dream of getting it for the first time, The Citizen has now transformed into an experienced and growing team on the European stage, they have always been the favorites in the last few seasons.  But it seems that hope for this season is very heavy, they have to finish Real Madrid's obstacle in the 2nd leg later, even though they have won the 1st leg, Pep Guardiola will certainly always be burdened with that target, he must be able to prove it.

Paneka Penalty taken by Karim Benzema in the second half of the game and that reminds me of Andrea Pirlo! The goal in the first half saw Benzema reaching he's 40th Gola of the season.
The win at home giving Pep Guardiola a chance over Real Madrid , if Manchester City wins over Real Madrid, it'll be the third time Pep Guardiola has knocked Real Madrid out of the UEFA Champions League football. The game seemed to have been too much for Alaba to handle. Like, everything about it was pretty fast and you can tell he wondered how he missed the ball and Gabriel Jesus had to get it and placed it so safely in the net. There was no way the keeper could have caught such a ball, looking athte proximity between G. A Jesus and the goal.

One perron that missed a good chance of enrolling on the score sheet was Riyad Mahrez. You can imagine him with a touch to have between the central defence and the Leeper was so much exposed and somehow, R. Mahrez still found the bar... They still got to win either ways and it's of the most importance.

I can understand why Real Madrid struggle to win when Benzema isn't playing, because his impact on the pitch is huge. Not only scoring goals,
but every time Real Madrid is left behind by Man City, we can see how Benzema motivates his teammates. There is no doubt that Benzema's
two goals against Man City were very beautiful, not many strikers in the world can do that. I like you support Benzema to win the Ballon d'Or.

Benzema has a great chance to become the top goal scorer after his toughest competitor Lewandowski can't add more goals. I'm sure in

Pep’s game plan was to score as many goals as possible and kill off this tie in the first leg, sadly that didn’t happen. They now have to work twice as hard in Spain. It’s still anyone’s game but Madrid have the advantage. Real Madrid surprised me. I wrote them off totally. They had a good account of themselves and kept the loss respectable though it's mainly due to City's missed chances.This is Benzima best season
