These are tough times for crypto pretty much across the board. Maybe now is a good time to hold fiat or maybe now is the time to buy all the coins. I do not know but the technical side of Hirocoin is progressing well. In the last week there have been two security updates and development is progressing, we will soon see new features and versions. Anyone paying attention can see that we are more actively developed than the majority of others. Our hard work will be noticed and will pay off eventually. I work without paying attention to the value of the coin, as a currency the price does not matter, well, the lower the value the cheaper it is to send funds. To investors the price is all important and right now crypto is not looking good. However I, and a lot of others, expect a turning point, judging that turning point is all important for investors.

Personally I would say that if you held this far then keep holding, selling at its lowest does not make sense to me and this is a long term project.

Hirocoin - New unique feature just added. We will be the new home for GPU miners when those Scrypt ASICs hit.

p2pool.n00bsys0p.co.uk:9408 is down, any idea when it will be up and running again? as i have had to move my miners off to a multipool for now

Hi there, the issue was due to the VPS provider having a hardware failure. I've had a fair bit of instability recently so I'm setting up a different server for my P2Pools. Apologies for the downtime.

Thanks for the comments! These might be better without the handshake, but I figure it adds to the trust/gateway symbolism. Open to criticism..

looks good.

Nice design jobs!

I lost my 1BTC when I buy hiros for 3500 sat ... bad bad idea Smiley

Daaaaammmmn, and I thought I had lost money! Sorry to hear that man.

Gotta hold at these prices, HIRO will find a comfortable seating at 4500 Satoshi when the BTC market finds its bottom and rises again. Then a steady rise to 10000 Satoshi over the following months. My speculation, but totally reasonable IMHO.

dude that sounds Great but its getting harder and harder to keep the faith.(im one of those dumbasses holding)
but ye selling at these prices would really suck i guess im along for the ride be it to 1 or 10000 sat.(maybe id unload some at 5k sat but not at these prices)

Anyway, I respect you opinion, do not agree with you, but I really wish you a good luck and I am sorry to hear you have decided to leave crypto.

Not leaving crypto, just off to more profitable crypto ventures. And doing quite well, surprisingly.

A successful scam coin, ninja launched at 2am. Then instamined by the developers and a few that were up late and caught it. Look at the first page, there are comments such as "its still low difficulty there is something wrong." That slow diff adjustment was on purpose so that the instamine could go on all night while everyone else was asleep.

Dude, you do realize there are time zones on the gahdamned Earth? Or you maybe think that only US people are into cryptocurrencies? Think, dammit, think before you throw shiet at thin air.

I'm happy to report that I just finished building the official Ubuntu PPA for Hirocoin! Now you can stay up to date without worrying about checking back at the site all the time. We will also be providing a client built for Trusty Tahr LTS when it is released next Thursday.

To use it, open a terminal in Ubuntu (Ctrl+Alt+T), and enter the following:

Code:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:n00bsys0p/hirocoin
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install hirocoin-qt # For the version with a GUI
sudo apt-get install hirocoind # For the CLI version

You can ensure that this is definitely the official, Hirocoin dev controlled PPA by checking that the GPG key used to sign the package has been signed by Hiro Satou. You can get his public key on the Downloads page of the website.

You don't experience a loss until you sell. You really turned 1 btc into .16 btc? LOTS of coins start out, have a big pump the go to crap and then rise from the ashes. BC is one example of many. I'd be lying if I said I was still mining, but I'm not selling my 60k hiros for anything under 3k - if they go to zero and don't recover so be it. (ok, it helps they are mined and won from trading, but if I bought them I'd say the same).

What do you think? Tried to combine H and X11 in one symbol.

Same idea as @kocur (which I found out after designing the logo) but different execution.

I think this should be HiroCoin's official logo to remind the miners that got in at diff 100+ what the people that were able to insta-mine obscene amounts of Hiro for hours felt after dumping their Hiro at 4000 sat.

If you want to follow a coin with a community that is more concerened with 'gettin' it done' rather than silly logos, check out EMC2. No insta-mine, no Pump and Dump!

I like this the best from what I've seen. My .02 is the shaking hands forming the vertical line in the H is pretty cheesy.

I agree that it's a bit cheesy, but cheesy sells IMO. Look at most televised commercials.
