Means that is great the team which is in top tiers and Bangladesh gave them a tough time. In the first inning Mahmudul Hasan Joy played well and made 86 runs. But player of the match Taijul Islam collected 4 wickets. And total they made 310 runs.

From New Zealand Kane Williamson played well and made 104 runs. Over all New Zealand team performance wasn't good in first inning and NZ made only 317 runs.

In second inning Bangladesh made 338 runs again. And in this inning the captain of the Bangladesh team Najmul Hossain Shanto played well and made 105 runs. And from bowling line again Taijul Islam bowled well and collected 6 wickets.

And in NZ no one able to go above 50 runs except Daryl Mitchell who made only 58 runs. And NZ collected only 181 runs in the second inning. Means over all performance of the NZ wasn't good.

Newzealand before the world cup was not looking strong.. we even doubtful that NZ will reach semi final or not but NZ was proved very strong team in the world cup..

NEWZEALAND team was consist of all old experienced player.. Kane Williamson was there but Bangladesh spin attacks is strong which is the reason Newzealand couldn't able to win first test.. Discussion would be around how sub continent teams can't compete in seam-bouncy wickets and not just cricket pundits but fans too. IMO everyone should give credit to Bangladesh and accept the fact that they played good cricket and superior team in spin conditions against a big team like New Zealand.

These tours help underdogs like Bangladesh quite a bit which is good for their fans and cricket on the whole even though they don't attract many viewers outside Bangladesh. It was a proper test match if you ask me.

I didn't expect them to bounce back so nicely and I am expecting them to whitewash the Kiwis at this rate.

They have been around for some time that's why I believe they lost the tag of the underdog. It was their first home test win against the Kiwis, plus NZ visited Bangladesh after 14-15 years so it was a special win.

Bangladesh will definitely win this Test as Bangladesh's spin bowling has been so successful that 7 wickets have fallen for 113 runs. However, in the fifth day's play, Bangladesh will win only if they must fall the remaining three wickets in the first session. I am not agreed about this verdict about New Zealand because they are having problems in big games otherwise they are one of the most consistent team in cricketing world in last four world cups they never lost without reaching into semifinal which is amazing but in big games they are really chokers like South Africa specially in white ball format because in red ball they already beat India in WTC inaugural final which was impressive from them.
Overall we know these four teams from SENA having problems in subcontinent conditions and lost regularly, so this is no problem, hopefully things will be done better for them in second test match.

In Second inning Bangladesh set a target of 332 to New Zealand. Nz only made 181 for all out on first session of day 5. Taijul Islam brilliant bowling took 6 wickets in 2nd inning. You are actually right.  I think no one actually thought that Bangladesh team would win against a strong team like New Zealand team. Because the New Zealand team is already the champion in the current Test format cricket, and the New Zealand team had prepared their team eleven with all their strong players to play against Bangladesh.  On the other hand, the performance of Bangladesh is much weaker than that of the New Zealand team.  So most of the people thought that New Zealand will definitely win this match but with the performance of Bangladesh we saw a different picture. However, there are more matches left, let's see if the New Zealand team can come back in the next match.

I agree, no doubt Bangladesh fans are happy with their team having big win against team like New Zealand and this is third win for them in 2023 after having wins against Afghanistan and Ireland but still a long way to go for them if they want to have good spot in test ranking and also want better results in coming matches as well because they have few quality individuals but as team they are still not near to best which is surely problem for them.

Mahmdul, Shanto and Tajul were doing good for their team, and they bring this historic win after having worst end of their world cup campaign in India, but we have to check New Zealand is also on rebuild which needs time, and they can fight back into next match as well because they also have quality and players which are best in this format hopefully now we will have good match in Dhaka between these two teams.

Really, now this first test game of ICC test series has been concluded which was Bangladesh team opponent New Zealand team. After 5 days this game was end now and Bangladesh team won this game with 150 runs and Bangladesh team leads by 1-0 games. This game was held in Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Bangladesh. Bangladesh team displayed outstanding performance in all lineup like batting, bowling and fielding and entire team of Bangladesh team played very well and beat New Zealand team by big margin of runs. We already knew that New Zealand team have less chance to win in 4 th day of this game and they need almost 200+ runs and 1 wicket was left for play. D.mitchell dismissed at 58 runs in 120 balls and he hitted seven 4s in first test game.

On the fourth day Bangladesh did one of the most important things by dismissing Kane Williamson quickly. If Kane Williamson could have been set at the wicket, it would not have been a difficult task for him to take out this match. When Kane Williamson was dismissed by Taijul Islam, the commentators from the commentary box kept saying this is big fish. 

We are sure that we will not see the behavior of the wicket in the Dhaka Test the way we saw the behavior of the wicket in the Sylhet Test.  The spinners will get more advantage in the Dhaka Test and New Zealand can increase their spin power in that case. Bangladesh lost the ODI series before the World Cup so they will definitely want to win the Test series against New Zealand.

Bangladesh batting surprises me in this match which was really impressive with no Tamim and Shakib they were really impressive against New Zealand which having good experienced bowling unit led by Tim Southee with Tajul is also doing good work and having good partners as well which is good sign for the Bangladesh team but still they need to work on many things if they want to keep this momentum in future as well.

New Zealand having good spinners but still they were not good as we have Bangladesh spinners in this match Ajaz Patel and Ish Sodhi bot completely fail to give any positive impression even Ajaz Patel already done good job against Pakistan and India, but now his magic is not working here which is surprising.
