India still have enough wickets in hand if India leads by 250+ runs, it seems that West Indies will not be able to take the team and will lose.

Where two opening batsmen have scored centuries and an opening batsman is unbeaten on 143 runs, there are still enough wickets in hand so why do we expect 250 plus runs. India is already 162 runs ahead, so they will score only 88 runs with 8 wickets in hand on the third day? You just have to wait for India's third day to see where India's runs end up. The Indian target now is to follow the West Indies, in which case they will bat a little aggressively on the third day. Virat Kohli and Yashasvi Jaiswal on the wicket so far will pick up on day two from where they left off on day three. If it is possible to score 500 plus runs, then West Indies will have a great chance to follow.

Definitely, India will post more than 350+ runs for West Indies so they can win by innings. There is no reason to declare the innings without scoring enough runs. There is a good chance that this match will get over by today, if India bats aggressively. But so far I haven't noticed any intention from the Indian batsmen to do so. The two spinners (Jomel Warrican and Alick Athanaze) had an economy rate of just around 2.5 runs per over, as both Yashasvi Jaiswal and Virat Kohli were being overcautious in their approach.

From here now India need another 150 to 170 runs which will be enough for them to have win by an inning because after watching first inning I have feeling most chances Ashwin and Jadeja will not allow them to have stay at the crease and create problems for them while their quality is already at the bottom of test format.

I think in the first two days, India focused more on keeping wickets, which is why they failed to bat at a good economic rate per over. But since they have time and wickets, increasing this economic rate will not be a difficult task. Today when India comes out to bat on the third day maybe they will come out with a plan to increase their run rate before coming out. With enough confidence in their bowling department, perhaps the Indian batsmen are not in that much of a rush to score runs because if they can collect a few more runs today and invite the West Indies to bat in the second innings, they will be all out before West Indies can level a big score. Maybe Team India is batting slowly with such a plan.

Look at their country's size and population. Almost 20% population of the world is from India. Yes, 1.4 Billion people live in India, where plenty of players like Kohli are playing in the street, and nobody knows them. India can easily build at least three teams with top players. The competition is good for the team. But it's skeptical when you see this from a player's perspective. A player must perform extraordinarily to get a chance at national duty.

West Indies' performance has gone down trend since the last couple of years. Bangladesh won a series against them in their home condition. It's because of the corruption of the West Indies cricket board. They don't pay well to their players. That's why their top players only play in premier leagues abroad and don't want to play for the national team.

You are exaggerating way too much. Jaiswal is a great batsman with a ton of potential for sure, but he doesn't hold a candle to players like Pant, Gill etc who have far more experience against all teams in multiple formats.

I would choose players like Pant over him any day in any format since they have proven their worth over time.

Stunning performance from West Indies these days, don't know where they are heading. With too much focus on T20 leagues, WI totally forget how to play ODI and Test.
