I do not understand why the Indian team is playing test cricket against WI. The WI team is in such bad shape that it is worthless to even play against them. All I am able to foresee is that the ongoing series will only help India's ranking on the ICC table. I am not going to see the test match as I know India would easily win the match. BCCI should have canceled this bilateral and any in the future until the WI side is good enough to play against India.

What has happened to the West Indies cricket team? It looks like an expired team. This poor batting by West Indies is much expected from this current team which is in such bad shape. What has happened to the West Indies cricket team? It looks like an expired team. This poor batting by West Indies is much expected from this current team which is in such bad shape. They no longer have good enough players to give a challenge to any opposition. This match doesn’t even make sense. West Indies has failed to perform against better teams.

West Indies should have scored around 250 runs. Even son of great Shivnarine Chanderpaul is not able to rescue West Indies batting from collapsing. India already have scored 105 runs without losing any single wicket and they trail by 45 runs at the moment. 8 wickets for Ravindra Jadeja and Ashwin, not much for Indian pacers in first innings. Yashasvi Jaiswal has scored fifty in his first test appearance its golden opportunity for him to score a hundred.

Bowling is good but still you need some wickets to make match competitive and watchable, right now it looks too much like an one sided affair. Right now I think I am much more interested in Ashes than this tour of India which I am pretty sure we are going to win with a complete clean sweep only. One good thing with this tour can be many batsmen who had lost their touch might get it back with a couple of good innings, big example- Rohit Sharma.

This match is between Rank 1 vs Rank 8 so it's natural for a strong team to dominate the weaker side. Unfortunately, there is no solution to this, unless the relegation system kicks in. Having said that let's wait for the result.

As of now, they are just killing it and I don't think the Indian team wants to bat again. A century on debut is a fine way to start your test career. Well done Jaiswal!

West Indies was also eliminated from the T20 world cup qualifiers, then they have been eliminated from the ODI world cup qualifiers too. West Indies has become very weak team for the ignorance of their cricket board. Undoubtedly they are going to loss the first test match by an innings. And I think that the result of the second test match will be same.

Absolutely Thier recent squad has done really disappointing performance, the unity and power of will were missing in entire west indies team due to which they face such a terrible defeats, now against India Thier performance is like street boys play with pro, Thier is no need to play with such a shit team which no ability to retaliate but anyway it will be an opportunity for BCCI to test his younger.
Y.Jasiwal done a supervb performance and scored his first international century in such a young age, while his partner sharma are about to score his century too. hope they will continue his partnership last long..

I don't know how things could change. There needs to be some arrangements to overcome the scenario. This is one of the reasons why test cricket is dying. I don't have any issues in India playing against West Indies in T20I or ODI formats. The matches will still be one sided, but not as much as the clown show that is going on right now. It looks like India will get to a total of 600 or 700, and may then bowl out West Indies for somewhere around 150 to win the test by an innings and 300 runs. And let's not forget the fact that West Indies is playing in their own backyard. The ICC doesn't want to do anything regarding this, because WICB wants revenue from TV rights.

Among the Indian batsmen, Shubman Gill is the only one who missed out, as he was dismissed for just 6 runs by Jomel Warrican. Everyone else got a good boost to their career batting stats, including the debutant Yashasvi Jaiswal. Rohit Sharma badly needed this boost after a few ordinary performances in the recent past. And let's not forget those players who got the opportunity to boost their career bowling stats, such as Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja. I guess that is the only purpose of this series. BTW, it was a good opportunity for the selectors to test some of the younger players (apart from Jaiswal).

LOL.. it will take a miracle from West Indies to restrict India's lead to just 250. Remember that they are leading by 162 runs with 8 wickets in hand. And in case West Indies want to restrict India's lead to 250 runs, then they need to take all the remaining wickets for just 88 runs. I would say that it is an impossible task, given the fact that India has a strong middle and lower order. Ajinkya Rahane, Ravindra Jadeja, Ishan Kishan, Ravichandran Ashwin and Shardul Thakur are yet to bat. My guess is that India will get to a lead of at least 500 runs.

India is already 162 runs ahead, so they will score only 88 runs with 8 wickets in hand on the third day? You just have to wait for India's third day to see where India's runs end up. The Indian target now is to follow the West Indies, in which case they will bat a little aggressively on the third day. Virat Kohli and Yashasvi Jaiswal on the wicket so far will pick up on day two from where they left off on day three. If it is possible to score 500 plus runs, then West Indies will have a great chance to follow.
