According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

More airdrop payments very shortly, I still have lots of applications so keep applying if you already haven't.

How about you post the links to the premined address so we can all see the "payments" ?

So how about it ? Looks like the dev is avoiding this question, pls. answer ..

CharityMiningPools - Donate to Charity while you Mine!

grce.charityminingpools.com

Come mine while making a difference.

Mandatory 1% donation fee goes to The BitGive Foundation this month.  We welcome and encourage you to donate more to a good cause.

SSL, STRATUM, VARDIFF, Datacenter Redundant Server Farm, Load Balanced Servers, Frequent Backups
1% Mandatory Donation fee to a Good Cause, 1% Pool Fees

Who Are We?
CharityMiningPools was created to allow miners the ability to mine coins while still knowing that their hashing power is going towards something good.  Our goal is to provide a positive and reliable service while delivering a small portion of the proceeds to a deserving recipient.  Plans are in the works to allow individual miners to choose where they would like to donate to based on a pool of available recipients.

How Does This Work?
All coins minded at CharityMiningPools will require a mandatory Donation fee.  This donation fee will be collected and donated to the designated charitable recipient for that given month.  Though we only require a minimum Donation fee, we welcome and encourage our miners to raise the stakes and donate more to a good cause.

Cheers!

Feels like this coin is in more trouble than the greek economy.

Pools closing , exchange removing the trading pairs , feels like 2009 again.

I'm Greek and I find the name atrocious! Why not make it  e-Drachma or something like this? Greece coin just sounds stupid.

Syscoin has the best of Bitcoin and Ethereum in one place, it's merge mined with Bitcoin so it is plugged into Bitcoin's ecosystem and takes full advantage of it's POW while rewarding Bitcoin miners with Syscoin

I bought into this coin early because for a while it seemed that Auroracoin was going to be a success, people were going to start using it for trade in Iceland, and some momentum would carry on into other coins like Greececoin and Spaincoin.

Yes the name could be better, but people like Greece and Spain and wanted to show some support. Support that seems squandered now - I wouldn't get behind a new e-drachma coin but this could still be rebranded if there is any interest.

This is one of the flaws in the plan.
Not only the name is not attractive to all Greeks , I don't have a clue how many speak english there but also , due to the way it is distributed and mined , it is possible that lots of coins end up in the hands of foreigners who have no way to use them and only stash them.

With the low value and more coins stashed away you will need 1% or 2% of all the coins in the market to make a real purchase of goods.

Which will drive up the price as you buy and you end up with paying x2 in greece coins than in euros.
So , this is another deterrent to use the coins.

WTF.. Any effort wasted on this, or any country/airdrop coin, will only serve the scammers..  Why can't you guys just take something at face value and move on ?

This all could have been avoided if a few of you did your research and asked the right questions... IN GREEK.

You guys are still carrying on about this?

This coin isnt going anywhere.

Unless I heard wrong, you guys have nothing to do with greece. Are people still believing this stuff here?

I am not from Greece, just want to know if this is going as planed (OP and website) before buying-in. A Country coin have; phase 1 = start/hype/price up  phase 2 = mining/price slowly down phase 3 = airdrop  price fast down  phase 4 = if adoption by citizen  = price very slowly up again. (I think- we see)

1 start country coin -  choose a a country struggling with debt (greece , cyprus spain)
2 pump the hype about how this will change everything
3 fake airdrop to your own adresses
4 dump the coins on the maket
5 start a new coin

192$ market cap?

This is not even worth the space and bandwidth of bitcointalk.

It's back to it's 2000$ market cap

One 10$ trade can manage to push the price on one exchange 10 times

Same thing happened to quark with a 47$ order

Have you guys seen why QKR price has risen to 0.05 $?

It's because one guy has bought about 7 QRK for the meager price of $6.56 ...

It's crazy how easy it is to manipulate coinmarketcap....

$47 to push QRK from #10 to #7 ...

The admins of coinmarketcap should fix their algorithm.
