If there's no official turnover or what they called it when a buyer sold a franchise, until the next conference, Alaska players will now be included in the upcoming draft pick in May. It's called "Special Draft" or something along those lines if I remember it right.

The question is, will all of them will be able to get drafted? if not, then those who are not selected will have to say goodbye to the PBA will probably look for an opportunity in the other league. They came from the PBA, for sure they'll be considered as valuable assets.

Not all of them will be drafted for sure, otherwise, the salary cap of a team won't be able to accommodate all the players.

I don't want to see that happen, so I just hope that there's a company we're able to Alaska's rights

Who would like to see it happen? Just be optimistic that the players will be saved from losing a team and someone who is interested will buy Alaska.
For now, we have no news yet on the latest development, let's just wait patiently.

Depends on your deal most probably, but 1:1 is really not ideal with Meralco and Magnolia since we know who are the teams that really dominate the series here. Ginebra will be the favorite here for sure, semi-finals are really composed of great teams, we can expect a lot of surprises here.

Only a good fan of meralco will take ML, just like you. A handicap may attract another bettor to grab that offer, but we just wait and
see if we have a fellow Kabayan who will take this for Meralco, else, bisdak may offer a good handicap for this series. With Ginebra and
NLEX do you think ML is fair enough? New import of NLEX may affect their chance from this series, for me, if same import NLEX got

This is what we are talking before probably, the EASL is mentioned again in that article you shared, although I have not read fully what it could bring to the league but I find it exciting. just to quote some from the same article.

First foreign guest team since 2004
The EASL side is set to become the first foreign team to play in Asia's first pro league in 18 years, or since UBC Thunderbirds and US Mail and More Fil-Am Selection competed in the 2004 Fiesta Conference.

On the other hand, a Gilas Pilipinas side coached by Rajko Toroman and led by naturalized player Marcus Douthit was the last guest team to compete in the PBA back in 2011.

The team is reportedly going to have Manila as its temporary home base owing to the strict travel restrictions in Hong Kong, the new format of the EASL being a home-and-away setup.

Will it be like the ASEAN Basketball League like the Alab Pilipinas which represent the Philippines? I think that's also good but pure Filipino player is better as we can really see them improve and that's the work of the PBA. You know, in an international competition like FIBA, you cannot take the imports, so it's important that our local players will improve their skills and that is by giving them more playing time.

The very factor that I'm waiting, I'm so tired of seeing these two franchise dominates the league, hopefully with this move from the organization we will see more talents and more hardship inside the floor, hoping also that the "hulog" rumors will be lessen though not sure if that kind of manipulation which never been proven will be remove inside this league.

If things will bring the fans' attention and let them to watch back, the domino effect will favor both viewers and the organization, more people to watch, more money to collect.

I think that they're on the right track. Since the usual format doesn't seem to be good anymore for them and many fans are disappointed, this is something new or a refresh for more fans.
This will lead all of the fans to wait for something better and something to await for when the next conference has started. But in the meanwhile, we have to wait until this current conference finishes. Yeah, you are right. Odds in the bookies for PBA games are not so attractive and the market/options are limited.

If only I have the luxury of time I would set up a free competition for us PBA followers so we can have fun in the coming weeks.

No need for a setup or anything. Just offer a bet here then see who's the one that will take it. I have always done that before and currently have lots of current bets here in our place. P2P gambling in general and the usual betting here since then. Series match. The demand here is more active during the PBA Finals.
