Imports do not have to wait for too long before they can resume. Knowing that the teams are already allowed to start their practice is a good sign that soon enough the PBA will resume. NLEX had a good start, hopefully, their momentum will not be gone due to this long break.

Let me refresh you guys with the current standing.

Practices will allow them to be more familiar with those set plays. It's good to know that they are now allowing players to do the drill,

NLEX is doing great, but like every other team, they can use this long break to create new strategy and make good adjustments from their

last performances. We are still in the early rounds and once PBA resume, we will see which team will excel and start to rally.

Betting will be open again and each of us can share our predictions and thoughts with those upcoming games..

Scrimmages is also now allowed? I don't think so unless those will be held on areas under Alert Level 2 at minimum.

So, only the first 5 players including the imports can do that said practice, sure their rotations won't be as great than what they're used to but they don't have any choice as group workouts are still limited in numbers. Well, at least having a practice with limited number of players is better than no practices at all.

Is that 5 players per day? If that's the case then they can just make a schedule of practices and just make a 2v2 practice plus their import maybe. 10 days worth of practice before the games resume so in short its true that the league will resume at the first week of February then. That's good and I don't think that the PBA can afford to suspend more than one month because they will loss a lot of money if they will extend it longer.

With regards to practices, you might see me bias with this part but I think the team needs to prioritize the imports in practices because the team will rely much on them but I'm not saying that their imports will do all of their jobs. Its just that most of the time the team is relying on them so in short if 5 players only are allowed to play then it must be the Import plus 4 players base on the schedule .

Enough to set a play and have an imaginary defense, better than nothing right? they need to live this way while

the game still pending, but the good thing here is there's already a said date for the resume and we will see our favorite team and

players to entertain us once again, not to forget the betting side is what most of us here are waiting  10 more days and everything

will be roll again...

I think you are right about the main players having more exposure to the practice. Because they are kind of the backbone of a team. But the other players also should be given practice. Because as you said if things don't go exactly as planned they might come in handy. And there are some great players who work really long hours to get ready but that's another story.

That's not a problem as long as there's no conflict. More league is better as it gives a lot of opportunities for our talent to grow, we know that PBA has very big requirements in order to qualify in the PBA draft, with small leagues now, if you have the skills and talent, you can play and can be popular.

They needed to have that practices too, but main gunners are the priorities for now, it's just more than a week and we will see PBA
back in action. With the preparations coming from all the teams, we will expect some new playing styles, though it's not the same
as the last time due to this omicron, but knowing that they are back and resume, the games are more than okay.

We will know in the elimination, most likely the NLEX will get a twice-to-beat advantage, and against a lower seed team, they will probably succeed.  The rule of the import in this conference is very vital, and NLEX are lucky to have a great import that could compete with the best import like Brownlee.

I'm not sure about the conflict but I think there's none. What I'm thinking is that, are they worried about the rise of different leagues in our country? MPBL has already been said as a pro-league. What if the others will follow too? Where are the PBA players are going? if not with B League then for sure they're coming after for these rising leagues. And knowing that these new rising leagues has professional players too that came from PBA, they have a backup that these leagues would be also big someday.

But it seems that they're not doing something about it and by the way they're planning things, they might just realize it when fans are jumping over the other leagues.
I guess when the pandemic's done or neutralized, these leagues are going to do something aggressive with their marketing to let the basketball fans that there are other leagues that exist. One problem in PBA, is they are not allowing new teams and franchises to get in even if a lot of teams have applied for.

Big factor is the import and that's why I mentioned the Gin kings because of their familiarities together, Brownlee is capable to bring them back to the finals, but it's too early to conclude there are many competitive teams that both NLEX and Gin kings need to beat before they can climb and compete for the title series.

Local main players do need some practice for a good rotation and rhythm when the season resumes, that said, imports also need to the practice to know the capabilities and strengths in their respective team. There's nothing really to expect as of now because their practices aren't  the same as they used to. But yes, as long as we can see them back in action again is what matters the most.

We can conclude that TNT and SMB are tough but there's some other teams too who could show some improvements too, somehow it's early to predict things. We'll just see it soon.

Don't forget about the Ginebra San Miguel,  they are still doing well under Brownlee as their import.

We have TNT and NLEX vs SMB vs BGSM.. these are good teams and one of them could win a championship if the conference will continue.  Also, not counting out the Hotshots, another great team but they are not in my top list though.

No import, I think it's not exciting, however, I would just accept it as it's better to have that than no PBA at all.
I hope there's no more changes and we will finally see the return of the PBA conference, I think it's almost a month already since it was stopped.
