Barcelona and Atletico Madrid had a really interesting week. Atletico Madrid played first against Getafe and they hardly managed to win by 4-3. I never thought that Getafe would resist them this much. And Barcelona had a derby match against Espanyol last night. After a really fierce rivalry, it ended in a draw by 2-2. Espanyol were really close to winning and they must be devastated by the last minute goal.

They lost only three times in eleven games before this one. And in this game, they showed how strong they were again. Barcelona scored first but Espanyol still turned the game around and captured a 2-1 advantage. Barcelona were desperately trying to get at least one point by scoring the equalizer. And they made it in the last moments. However, they are still ahead of Atletico Madrid in the standings despite having the same points.

it was a very tough game i could see the exitement after Luuk de jong gave an equalizing goal in the 90+6'. There was strong tension while it was still 2-1. I am seeing improvements with Xavi's boys daily, Espanyol was almost a big threat but i'm glad it ended in a 2:2

Guess how many real madrid could drop points? Im not sure they could dropped more points especially if benzema comeback to the line up.

If Benzema can play in all remaining matches, I think Real Madrid only may lose points against Sevilla.
I don't underestimate Barcelona and other clubs, but Real Madrid possibly gets a winning when they have Benzema on the lineups. The chance to win will be bigger if they have Benzema, he is very productive during this season. But if Benzema is absent, Real Madrid may lose some points because of the draw results.

Is certain that Getafe weren't   able to withstand Atletico Madrid. Although, Atletico got a red card, which I think was a good opportunity for Getafe to either win the game or maintained the score. But, it Atletico still managed to secure their 4th goal towards the end of the match. And probably achieved 3 points. However, Suarez missed a penalty in the first half, and didn't throughout the match. Nevertheless, Barcelona is now a threat to Atletico Madrid. And if they don't belt up, Barcelona will end this season in the top 4.

Barcelona have to thank Luuk De Jong who scored to make it 2-2 when Barcelona were held to a draw by Espanyol. An important De Jong goal in the last minute of second half added time saved Barcelona from defeat in the Cataluna derby. I think Barcelona has not found a consistent performance and must be prepared that its current position is not safe because it has the same points as Atletico Madrid, next week if it fails to get 3 points and on the other hand Atletico succeeds in getting full points Barcelona will have to be evicted to 5th place.
