Barcelona are now comfortably 2-0 ahead, but Lewandowsky missed a penalty after 7 minutes. That can happen to the best, he is already in good enough shape for the World Cup. Barcelona has to win Europa League since they are the favorite team there but they aren't the only dangerous one.
Right now in La Liga, they are leading 2-0 vs Almeria thanks to Dembele and De Jong goals in the second half. Barcelona was able to add another goal in the first half but Lewandowski missed a penalty..
It seems that Almeria is not a strong opponent, the resistance is not so tough that Barcelona is able to control the match optimally. 2 goals have led Barcelona to victory, maybe it will increase again. In La Liga, Barcelona are playing very well. In the Europe League, Xavi should be able to optimize their performance every time. Their burden is very heavy especially with their elimination from UCL. It could have ended up with a really embarrassing score for them instead of only 2-0. Lewandowski was scoring goals for three games in the La Liga but he couldn't this time. He missed a penalty and wasted the biggest chance to score.
Now they are waiting for Real Madrid to play their game against Vallecano. Barcelona will hope for them to lose points again in an easy game. But I don't think it will happen this time.

At first, it seemed like Barcelona were having hard lucks and there winning was in doubt. There were several good chances that were missed. One even for Dembele and he was right there in front of the goal, no keeper, no defender, just him and a through ball that came his way from R. Lewandowski and he couldn't even direct the ball towards the goal. I almost gave up for them at that point but, it was far from the end for Barcelona and they did there best to prove themselves still as a good team in the Laliga. He @Dembele later stepped up floor the rescue bit, Almeria isn't a team Barcelona should have difficulty wining, not at all.

Barcelona vs Almeria has 30 minutes of running time but still no goals have been scored so far.

I think with their attacking condition like this, it is difficult for Almeria to continue to defend with discipline because Barcelona's attacks have been quite sporadic so far.

So much fouls with that type of playing style on how almeria defend the whole time. I expect a single goal or two only in the second half , nothing more. it was two, Almeria didn't have a fighting spirit in this match, they just went on extreme defensive mode, and with all the players Barca have they couldn't resist for a full 90 minutes, Barcelona dominated the whole match and created a lot of chances but only converted a few. |

Barcelona controlled the whole match and destroyed Almeria. Pique has a perfect farewell match and cule gave him good recognition as well as a lot applause for him. Pique did a great decision to let Lewandowski shot the penalty. Even Lewandowski wasted it by mimicking the style of Bruno and Jorginho, Pique did try to give Lewandowski a chance to improve his total goals and get more chance to win the Pinicchi title. The match shows that cule actually loves Pique and it is what he is deserved to have after all of his career and contribution for Barcelona. Their fans just reacted emotionally recent weeks against Pique and Busquet. Now, only Busquet is left from their golden team with tiki-taka formation. although many opportunities were wasted and even some golden opportunities were missed. but I'm quite relieved with the 2-0 result. and Almeria was a bit lucky. because so many attacks by Barcelona but Almeria conceded only 2 goals. Frenkie de Jong was outstanding in this match. because he is always able to trouble the opponent's defense. He creates an attack pattern that is quite dangerous for the opponent. Even the passes given by Frenkie de Jong also have a very good level of accuracy. and this match made a beautiful gift for Gerard Pique. |

When the referee awarded a penalty to Barcelona after Kaiky had a handball in the forbidden box, it should have been Pique who was shown as the executor to complete his farewell to Barcelona. Pique is not too bad at taking penalties, he has done it several times when Barcelona had to continue the match until the penalty shootout. 30 trophies in total with barcelona and he has a very impressive history with barcelona. Im not feeling doubt if he will find a new club to continue his career. it's too early for him to announce if he wanna retire from the professional footballer. I hope that pique will be doing what already done by another big name like ronaldo. he needs to find a new club that wanna sign him as a player. That will be very disappointed if this will end his career as he has more time to continue his career with a new club that can use his service. i hope pique will be thinking again about that. |

Congratulations as he end his football career, good signing off
30 trophies in total with barcelona and he has a very impressive history with barcelona. Im not feeling doubt if he will find a new club to continue his career. it's too early for him to announce if he wanna retire from the professional footballer. I hope that pique will be doing what already done by another big name like ronaldo. he needs to find a new club that wanna sign him as a player. That will be very disappointed if this will end his career as he has more time to continue his career with a new club that can use his service. i hope pique will be thinking again about that. In honor of Piqué's final home match with Barcelona, the team wore his kit. I thought it was a nice farewell for Pique. Especially in his younger days, he was a very good central quarterback for FC Barcelona over a period of 15 years. A good bye would be very early in his football career; rather, he should continue his career and maybe join a new club. It is his right to receive even more. Anyway, Thanks for the beautiful memories you left behind, your legacy will live on. |

Pique was a classical centre back i hope he takes up a career as a coach i know he will make a good one. Fc Barcelona and fans will miss him. He made a wise choice of signing off at this young age having been in the business for 30 years since childhood. He is not very young to start signing in for new clubs his decisions are wise to resign and face something bigger. |

He is such a player that has committed large amount of his life to FC Barcelona. 25 years he said it's not easy and in his statement he said he was born in FC Barcelona and he will die in FC Barcelona what a legend ? Gerrard Pique in tears as he came off the pitch, beautiful moment, memorable time, as all his teammates shakes hands with him with the fans chanting his name as jubilating their winning in the Spotify Camp. It is his final game in the team and he had a celebrated send off, he's lucky because not all players have that opportunity. Leo Messi never had the opportunity, Ronaldo and Ramos were also denied. The blaugrana won their home game 2 nil as they missed most key goal scoring chances.
I was an emotional moment watching Gerard Pique's farewell's speech. To me it is the end of an era. A true legend. No doubt, he was loyal to the club as well as to the game. He will forever be remembered as one of the greatest central defenders ever. I wish him the best as I look forward to hearing the next big thing he is going to take up and do. |
