Atletico Madrid were really unbelievable. I was pretty sure of a win for them against Espanyol especially after the red card.

However Espanyol got ahead first and it was really surprising. Atletico Madrid had a huge difficulty in even getting one point in a game like this. They were really dominant in this game in fact but they found only one goal after 27 goal attempts. This is really horrible. They are still not a very reliable in the La Liga as well. After being eliminated in the Champions League I expected them to be more effective here but nothing has changed as it seems.

Maybe luck is not on their side in this match because if we look at some of the attempted attacks they do it can pay off. Moreover, the benefits they get after they are ahead of the number of players. But yes this is football where the result of the match cannot be measured by the number of shots or the number of players on the field. I actually saw them deserved to win after playing well and creating lots of chances. But once again sometimes luck cannot be separated from the game of football, and that happened to Atletico Madrid in this match which had to be forced to a draw by their visitors Espanyol.

Espanyol players are successful in this match. I have seen their performance in the last three matches. Their main aim in the matches was to earn 1 point by drawing. And they have drawn in the last three matches. And at the moment Espanyol are outside the relegation zone. The way they played against Atlético Madrid was absolutely commendable.
But feel bad for Atletico Madrid fans. Atletico Madrid played really well in this match and they deserve to win. Unfortunately they failed to win the match. Perhaps Atletico Madrid could have won the match if the defenders had performed more carefully.

Superior in number of players but still very difficult to score goals when facing 10 people and having to work hard to reply to Sergi Darder's goal in the 62nd minute was really bad.
Atletico still haven't been able to improve their performance in this match even though they are favored by playing at home and with a player advantage from the middle of the first half.

Because this is even a more unsuccessful season for the team already now. They have been eliminated in the Champions League and dropped down to the Europa League. As for the La Liga, they are already far away from Barcelona and Real Madrid. They can't stay in the title competition like in the old times. It is unacceptable to see them this much weak despite having a really qualified squad to do much better than this. I just see this like it is because of the management. I strongly believe that they need substantial changes from now on.

I feel the same way too, i feel Simeone has done all the good he can for them, and if he remains with them, they may be moving backward rather than forward which is very bad for the club. A new coach will change how they play and how they train, which may be what the players need. Simeone did so good for them, he won La Liga titles, and took them to champions league finals, so i feel that even if he wants to leave the club, he would not be sacked, but he would just step down on mutual consent, he is a legend in Athletico Madrid and he will surely be respected.

Atletico missed this moment - now every year they play worse and worse and in general the club stagnates.

Simeone have bigger contribution for Atletico Madrid with two La Liga tittle due his eleven years career become Atletico manager, seems this season most poor performance actually eliminated from champion league and have to absent at Europe League after finish at bottom standings.  I don't think good ideas if sacking Simeone with a lot of his contribution make Atletico Madrid most compete with Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Atletico Madrid have bad started in this season with 3 loss of 13 games and left 10 points from Barcelona lead standing awhile, but leaving or sacking Simeone right now seems early with many match left later and actually has opportunity back to top level again for Atletico Madrid at 25 games left.

In my opinion, it is not the best idea to force him to leave Atletico Madrid at this point due to the fact that they are doing well in La Liga at the moment. In addition to that, I am aware that they have suffered a very painful defeat in the Champions League. In spite of this, I believe that in La Liga a good thing is happening and they should not be able to ruin it by changing the coach, in my opinion. It seems to me that they should at least wait until the end of this season before making any decisions. After that, I think that they will be able to make that decision on their own. It would be unfair of them to not give him any chance at all.

Don't know why currently Atletico are really not like they were in previous seasons even against Espanyol who only played with 10 men they are still struggling in this match.
This is really a slump in performance that is not really that good from Atletico even though the contents of the players are actually still quite good.
Only 1 point they can secure in this match.

Who is noticing the poor performance of Atletico Madrid recently. It was just like a joke that they fell off from The Champions League, we didn't take it serious because almost all the clubs in La Liga did not qualify for Champions League apart from Real Madrid

This actually has to be considered and even from last season Atletico's officials should have done this because indeed seeing Atletico's performance getting longer is even more worrying and even there were some problems for the players with the coach last season which made this even worse.
Simeone's figure is not what it was a few seasons ago now because the season has gone on, precisely in the last 2 seasons Atlético have struggled to travel in the season they played.

Yes, turnover is important not only in everyday things, but also in things like coaching, the same coach can't train a team to win forever, the same training programs and the same regime can have a detrimental effect on the quality of performance and results. It remains to wait for the coach to change, if the club management comes up with it

I think it's time for the athletic to change coaches, they haven't performed well in all competitions they are a disaster, in the league they are not competing to be champions, you can see that thanks to the bad performance they have had and that won't change unless they change coaches, that much is clear. but it seems to me that the direction of the Atletico Madrid has no intention of changing coach, the fans of the athletic are only left with heartache with each game of Atletico Madrid

Even worse is that Espanyol lost a player due to a red card early on in the game and Atletico still wasn't able to win the game. Whether Someone gets sacked or not, I don't know, but he has signed an impressive contract with a very high salary. I guess firing him would be an expensive thing to do. They are still at the top of the table though, but they won't be competing for the title. I doubt they would fire him for as long as Altetico isn't totally crashing. Dropping into the Europa League is probably quite painful as Atletico has always been a strong contender with spectacular games (despite their defensive style).

What a game that was between betis and sevilla, three red cards and 1 1 score, betis was better in the first half and they managed to score thanks to the red card advantage but things changed in the second half after receiving their second red card which put sevilla team in a better position and they managed to equalize late in the game, with this result betis are still on the fourth position and sevilla still barely outside of the relegation zone.

Villarreal's performance is getting worse day by day. Villarreal has lost three of their last four matches. They are not playing well. Villarreal has only scored 18 points in 13 matches. Qualifying for the Champions League has become very difficult for Villarreal at the moment. The performance of Villarreal's players against Mallorca today was very poor. Throughout the match, we saw the ball close to Villarreal. Maybe Villarreal was made 72% possession of the ball. Even then they could not score any goals. This is their failure. The performance of Mallorca's players was more organized than that of Villarreal.

Well said, Villarreal and Mallorca match was different, in this match Mallorca beat Villarreal 2-0. Villarreal failed to create a very good chance in this match. The Mallorcan players showed great skill, they played according to their plan and achieved a good result.

Betis - Sevilla was one of the most interesting games in the recent times.

We just witnessed three red cards in this game. Even though Betis got two red cards they were still doing good. But Sevilla managed to save one point by scoring the equalizer in the last ten minutes. Actually they had a big opportunity ahead to get a win. But they are still terrible in the league. No matter they change their manager they are still a mess now. I can't imagine them relegating from the La Liga honestly. I think they will manage to finish the season near top 10 at worst. But they need to be back on track as soon as possible.

I don't know if it's because they were unlucky or if there was another reason. It is really surprising that Atlético did not gain 3 points from this match. Their opponent was playing 10 players and yet they could not score a goal almost until the end of the match. They even conceded a goal and almost couldn't score points in this match. I think Atlético should improve as soon as possible or they can't finish the league in 3rd place, the difference in points between Barcelona and Real Madrid has increased

The possession of the ball from Atletico Madrid is quite good and the number of attempts at kicks on goal has been carried out with a very large number this shows that Espanyol have a great goalkeeper because they managed to withstand several attempts from Atletico Madrid to score goals, Atletico Madird must improve its strategy to get better results in the next game.

I expected a better performance from Betis. Because this season Sevilla's performance is not good. It is very difficult for Sevilla to get out of the relegation zone. In 13 matches, they have managed only 11 points. So I thought Real Betis will win today's match. But I am very disappointed with the performance of Betis players.
Sevilla's defender Montiel received the first red card of the match. But Betis players could not take advantage of this opportunity. And Nabil Fekir was sent off in extra time in the first half, and Borja Lglesias was sent off early in the second. After that, the match was completely boring.

Simeone made a lot for ATM and the club and the fans recognise that. It is true that his tactics aren't working as he wants and it would be better to find a way to make the team better again but I don't think that sacking him will make the team better. AFAIK there isn't much problems between him, players and the administration.
3rd position is a good spot regarding the performance of both Real Madrid and Barcelona this season. Nevertheless, ATM could do way better than that.
Overall, ATM wasn't the only team suffering this round/season, Villarreal, Sociedad and Sevilla are doing worse..

Good to see that mallorca was doing so well against villareal. This makes competition become even more competitive. Mallorca is slowly going up by beating another team that above it while the team that placed above mallorca like villareal is starting to face difficulties against the small club like mallorca which has placed under villareal. That's a very good result by mallorca by perfectly beating villareal with 2 scores. It seems like villareal may face losestreak very soon. It was losing three matches from 4 matches that already passed and only got 1 win. poor performance by villareal.
