Making a big gap from Madrid is certainly not easy because it is possible to win they are capable of it but the problem is ensuring Madrid don't get points clearly difficult in my opinion especially in this case Madrid are also still playing very well until now regardless of how their performance was without the benzema yesterday they still played really well with the matches they kept going.
Of course Madrid also doesn't want to give up the current title race, so it's not easy to get away from Madrid's pursuit.

Real Madrid surely doesn't want to give up to win the title. They must struggle until the end of the season. Well, in that you are completely right Benzema for now is like the backbone of Real Madrid, however I heard the rumor that Benema is left without the World Cup due to an injury he had in Qatar, I'm not sure but I saw something like that on TV .

The first thing to note about the Real Madrid team is that they have a lot of young talented players who are ready to give their all in absence of Benzema to ensure they fight and get excellent results for the team and their coach Ancelotti is one man that has a good relationship with his players and he will always motivate them to got out there and get the work done and bring the trophy home to the club. Madrid has fought and won matches without Benzema though it wasn't so easy but the team can get another striker to fill in his position during the transfer window because Hazard is not considered as a useful player to the Madrid team at the moment I doubt if any club will be taking the risk to sign him during the transfer window.

A bit difficult to predict which striker that will be taken by real madrid. As far as i know chelsea has been signing pre contract for him but you said that if real madrid was also interesting with him. I though that real madrid has been deciding to go to the osimhen rather than nkuku. It's not arrogant but that's reality. It has been so many years since benzema has the only pure striker in real madrid. I guess real madrid is likely to be more interested with osimhen rather than nkuku.

If he can tear it off I would recommend Lewandowski who is a real goal machine.
It will be difficult for his team to sell him, but given the financial problems, perhaps he could make an exception.
Honestly, I would have preferred the Ballon d'Or to be given to him than to Benzema. They are both good, mind you. But for me Lewandowski is better.
