We are finishing up the 13th week of the season with a Vallecano - Real Madrid game which is going to start in less than 3 hours.

Real Madrid are obviously the clear favourite for the win. However Real Madrid's odd is quite high such as 1.65 for a comfortable game like this. I checked their head-to-head statistics as well but didn't see any unexpected thing. Real Madrid won here the last time. Now Barcelona are the temporary leader and Real Madrid need a win to take the lead back. I don't feel like they will make a mistake here. Especially after leaving 2 points to Girona they should be more careful here.

Real Madrid will easily win against such opponents. Because Real Madrid is a very strong team. I think Real Madrid will not have to work hard for this match. By playing normally they will ensure a nice win.

For Atletico, Simeone pushed his limits. Atletico Madrid, which has struggled for the championship in the past years, is performing very badly this year. I agree that the biggest championship candidates for La Liga are Real Madrid and Barça. However, in the past, Atlético Madrid took the championship race ahead and became the champion. That's why expectations are so high from them. It would be great if Real Madrid and Barcelona join the race and make the league more exciting. Therefore, a big job falls on Simeone.  After being eliminated at UCL, they have to strive to win every game in the league with all their concentration.

The difference is that after they won the previous 2 seasons at this time they are very difficult to play like that again because there are so many problems in their defense.
But the difference when last season their defense was not very good they were still very good in attack, but now it is a little different in that regard. and yesterday's draw with 10 opposing players clearly shows that their attack line is still very lacking.

It should have been an easy win for Atletico because even Leandro Cabrera got their card and the match was still in the first half. That means, Atletico have a long time and can do a lot of experiments to turn it into a goal.
Even though Espanyol's defense was good but still, in reality Espanyol played away which should have been Atletico able to maximize the home factor and end the match with full points.

Because if it happens like this, I personally don't care about the excuse that the opposing goalkeeper is good and or they change their strategy to be very defensive. because Espanyol with 10 player can still play well and even, Espanyol can score an early goal which if we consider their performance so far this season is clearly very different.
Therefore, with Atletico still in the top four, surely Atletico have the quality to win and this is clearly a bad result for Atletico and their declining performance.

They had a terrible run at scoring goals, they shot a lot, but they were all either saved, or went off the post, or went outside. The finishing that was required to win the game was lacking, they were the better team for sure and dominated the game and looked like they would win normally but sometimes you can have 100 shots and not score a single goal. They are literally lucky to get a draw looking at how many goals they missed and may have missed that one as well.

In the end, these games are not common and sometimes you are just unlucky and the result will show itself. Next time they play, they will remember this and do not shoot willy nilly and shoot when they think they can actually score, or pass for a better chance.

Regarding Gerard Piqué, there are many reasons why he chose to retire early one of them is because he can't compete with young players and is rarely played  Xavi prefers young players as starters.

Ajax, Dortmund, and several other teams managed to reap huge profits by selling their players to European giants at insane prices. This is clearly a terrible practice because the price does not guarantee the quality and productivity of the players themselves as Liverpool experienced with Nunez, Coutinho for Barcelona and several other players.

Football is crazy especially when rich teams want to get their target players. FFP is unlikely to have much effect on the market activity of these rich teams as these teams will do everything in their power to accomplish their targets.

Currently, this is what is happening in the world of football right now. It is not uncommon for a team to slap a price tag of 100/150 million on any player with any type of potential. I cannot blame the clubs for this, since with the global economy being extremely unstable, as well as the current ongoing global inflation, it is bound to happen at some point. But I still think that one €150 million is just a bit too much when it comes to the amount of money involved. Or maybe I’m just a little too old .

Indeed, this is an away game for Real Madrid, but if Real Madrid loses of course it will widen the distance between Barcelona a bit, especially since they can only get the La Liga trophy after only being able to play in the Europa League.

Rayo vs Real Madrid kick off has started. Benzema is still not in the Madrid squad brought in at the moment but it is interesting to see Asensio on the flanks and Valverde having to be pulled in deeper as a midfielder.
But indeed this was something that had to be done because Kroos couldn't play because of the red card he got and with this I'm actually still pretty sure that Madrid can win this match.

I understand now why Real Madrid's wininng odd was higher than normal also. It was around 1.60 as far as I can remember. It is still the early phase of the match on the other hand. I believe Ancelotti will make the players gather strength mentally as quick as possible. I don't think Real Madrid would lose points again in a winnable match. Real Madrid's problem is this now. Even though they beat Barcelona recently they are struggling against smaller teams these days.

Really Real Madril was pressurized by Rayo V. But it is not good for well known team like Real Madril to just loss out in a game like this. They (Vallecano) were really good in the first 45 minutes of the game but when it is the second half of the match, Real Madril has to woke up from sleep do the needful in the game finally scored 2 goals. And at it is now Vallecano has also scored their second goal. So the two sides are equal of scoring of the goals now. This is one of the matches I have watched that is tough.
Real Madril will still lead the match. Today slips will cut very well in this match.
