There is no doubt that Lewandowski is a great player and he is the Hitman of Barcelona for this season and the whole team has depended on him for some time but I challenge us and I have the feeling that Barcelona will be able to win their three League matches without Lewandoski because of his red card. How do we feel that Barcelona cannot play goof football without Lewandowski why there are other great players in the team. If Lewandowski is as strong as we are portraying him to be the engine, why did Barcelona crashed out of the Champions League

Yes, there are still players who can be deployed to replace Lewandowski's role, but that role cannot guarantee that he will be able to fill the void left. That's actually the problem with his absence from the game. One more thing, his absence is the cause of his mistakes which in my opinion should not have happened, because it is a loss from a problem that we know is something that is prohibited for a player.

Atletico Madrid still have a long way to go in the league to be able to reach the level of Barcelona and Real Madrid. Because there is a significant drop in their effort level in the recent seasons. This season is even worse than the previous one I think. Because they had a horrible run in the Champions League. Their performance in the La Liga is also bad now as they are far away from the title competition.

Hopefully Simeone is thinking of some changes in his strategies. Or maybe he might think of leaving at the end of the season. Whichever happens, I just think they need to start playing differently to be more consistent.

Obviously Atletico Madrid are in poor form now and have fall short of vital points supposed to keep them at the top 3 spot in the league table. I can't seem to understand what the problem is and why they have been experiencing this drastic drop in form but for what it is I'm also sure Diego Simeone is back to the tactical board and finding possible solutions to the problems of the team.

Benzema is better but if you are injured then a team is not much use to you. I also couldn't see exactly how long he will be injured, but it doesn't seem to be a minor injury because he has to miss the entire World Cup. That could be good for Barcelona, although I don't think Barcelona wants to be champions that way. it has been a few years since Barcelona became champion. We can say that it is a little drama.

Intentionally or not it was too much punishment for not being able to play in 3 matches. It seemed that referee Gil Manzano was not in the best of moods at the time.
Lewandoski explained regarding his gesture which was considered insulting to the referee, he said it was shown to the bench and not to the referee. Lewandowski will try to appeal the sentence.
Lewandowski also admits that his debut at Barcelona will not be easy and will go according to plan, but he is trying to give his team the best.

Robert Lewandowski had to go through many hurdles at Barcelona because he is a very professional player so all problems are faced calmly. An unprofessional referee will be carried away with feelings so he cannot think logically as a referee has a logical task, not using emotions.

I think that both were having their own perspective regarding what already happened with him. You can't blame of referee was not unprofessional caused by that referee already certified. He has been taking appeal for his foul and we can only speculate the result from his appeal regarding his foul.
That's really worth to give him ban for 1 match rather than 3 but that's lewandowski's fault by doing something that doesn't needed to make referee felt he was insulting refereee. 3 better rather than got 5 ban.

I think there is no significant advantage for Barcelona. Because on the Barca side, they also cannot play Lewandowski for three matches due to being sanctioned.

Barcelona midfield is so bright that I can see Spain winning world cup in Qatar or on the next one for sure. Rodri and Gavi are most likely the best incoming duo of all time in Spain team and also big contenders for Barcelona history if they keep playing like this....and they are still very very young with 19 and 18 years old. Also , I hope Spain will go deep in Qatar and prove that LaLiga is still a very strong league that deserve that 2nd spot.

Lewandowski is a great player right but not having another good forwarded is a big mistake because in football we can't know what will happen to a player, there is no other player that can do lewandowski job in Barcelona and that's a real problem that the administration should look at ASAP

It would be unreasonable to get a red card because you want to rest for world cup preparations. It would be far better to pretend that you are injured than to get such suspension. Lewandowski understands his importance in the team and would not make such mistake. But if it investigations proved that he was disrespectful to the referee then he deserves this punishment.

Missing him for three matches would be a big challenge to the Barcelona team because he is their goal machine. The team needs to be careful because Real Madrid would take advantage of any slip. It would be a big boast to the team if they can prove that he is innocent.

Real Madrid have incredible talents on their side this season and I think these players are capable of filling in for Toni Kroos, Modric and already departed Casemiro for Real madrid. I think if Madrid is signing another midfielder in January it is to boost the depth in the midfield position and they also need to get a striker fill in for injured Benzema.

Lewandowski got the red card for his stupidity. Many say it was intentional. He did this to avoid injury. But I'd say no one wants to be intentionally red-carded and banned for three matches. However, Lewandowski is a very important player for Barcelona. Then as the next match will be held after a long break. The performance of all teams will be somewhat unstable. If Xavi can get his match strategy right then Barcelona will be able to win without Lewandowski

Older players in the game should be an example to the younger players. If Older players become disrespectful to officials and the matter is treated without punishments, younger players will follow their example knowing that they can get away with it too if they become disrespectful to officials. The midfield is very promising for Barcelona; especially talisman Pedri; he is such a complete central midfielder and if Barcelona can invest right they would have a complete set of team to dominate European football for a long time. Of course, Real Madrid needs to focus on the team's need for a new midfielder and a new striker that really fits the team's needs. Ancelotti knows what his team needs but sometimes he is a little hard on him and gambles selfishly saying Real Madrid don't need a new striker because they had a good replacement on the bench when Benzema was injured.

To be honest I really want to see if Ancelotti actually goes shopping in January, but if he does then midfield is one of the areas to improve. Modric and Kross are actually still good, but they will get weaker due his age.

People might wonder if there was some psychological problem of him which caused him to have this incident in that match. I think Barcelona would still be strong enough to defeat both of them but their productivity might be less than usual.

Asensio is not even their best player, he is a bench player that helps when they need him, so if he doesn't sign, then they could easily get some 20 year old kid that could replace him and even get better overtime as well.
