Somehow I feel it would be the other way around.
This match is a condition for prestige and they will obviously be total in the squad I think especially for Barcelona who really have to make a target of at least getting a trophy regardless of whether it's prestigious or not.
This is El Clasico and they don't want to lose again like the previous meeting.
On the other hand, Madrid have also in the last few games not been very good I think and it can be seen in their match in La Liga they seem to have lost their way, hopefully in this match they can overcome this.

In the worst case for Real Sociedad, they wouldn't concede the 3rd place in the standings, at least for this week, independently on what the other teams do in their corresponding matches, while Athletic should earn at least one point, not to be left behind, as Osasuna has just won and they have now 1 more point.

The temporary score between Real Socidedad vs Athletic Club is 3-1 in favor of Real Sociedad. The match seemed to be going quite tight, moreover they both controlled the game even though Bilbao did experience a bit of trouble in the attack line.
Just now Alvarez got a red card. So this opens up another opportunity for Real Sociedad to add to the score with a composition of 10 players from Athletic Club. Not only that, Oyarzabal's penalty kick penetrated the Athletic Club's goal. It looks like it will be difficult for Bilbao to equalize.

Sevilla are in a horrible condition as usual. The Getafe win seemed like a hope for them but it looks like nothing has changed at all.

Girona were so comfortable against them and they could have even won by a bigger goal gap. Sevilla are just too bad at defending now. Girona's winning goal also came due to a defensive mistake as you know. I really don't understand what this team need to do to pull themselves together completely. Weeks are coming and going but Sevilla are still near the relegation zone now. This squad don't deserve this fate and I hope Sampaoli finds a way sooner or later.

Even though the weekend have been filled with surprises with the Almighty man city losing to Manchester united, the same can not be expected to happen with Real Madrid vs Barcelona tonight.

Real Madrid is in the best form this season even though some of their games ended in a draws it doesn't undermine their performance in any way so I expect a straight winning for Real Madrid tonight.

Villarreal's condition after defeating Madrid clearly has a good mentality and enthusiasm, of course, but it's a shame they were only able to get one point in this match.

Barcelona against Real Madrid this is a very good match and will be a match full of drama because both of them are fighting for first place in La Liga so it will make both teams compete with full strength and try very hard, Barcelona may find it difficult to withstand attacks from Real Madrid unless they deploy full defense after scoring.

They started the season pretty well but this last few matches in the laliga hurted them pretty bad points wise. While Real Sociedad continues their good form in the league and now they have an actual shot at the title. The striker duo needs time to start scoring again.

Maybe things would have been different for Athletic Bilbao if Alvarez didn't get that red card. That was just the end of their hopes as they conceded the third goal by a penalty right after it.

The first half wasn't completely one-sided honestly. Athletic Bilbao still had hope for keeping up with their opponent. This is their third game in a row that they don't get a win. Real Sociedad have got their fourth win in a row at the same time. Their form is very impressive and I wonder how long they will be able to keep this up. For now they are one of the biggest candidates to quality for the Champions League.

A deserving win from real Sociedad.it was anticipated to be a tough match that may probably end in a draw, but the pressure pooled by the home team was so much that athletic Bilbao were unable to absorb even with their indomitable defense. I never knew the game will go beyond a draw, but am still happy for real Sociedad for adding another wining that could help push them more closely to the top standing.

Villarreal should consider themselves lucky for getting one point in this game. Because they were very bad interestingly. They had only 3 goal attempts and 1 one of them was on target which ended up with a goal. Celta Vigo dominated the game with so many attempts to score goals. But they had a very unlucky day that they were able to score only once.

I wonder what the reason behind about Villarreal's being this much bad. Because they seemed pretty solid against Real Madrid the last time and they even won that game.

In this match they were under a lot of pressure and I agree with you if you see their match today they got 1 point they should be grateful for that. Villarreal failed to continue their winning trend after being held to a 1-1 draw away to Celta Vigo headquarters, Q Setien's team failed to maintain their lead after taking the lead in 15 minutes. Villarreal's appearance was very much different from when they beat Real Madrid last week, an additional point prevented Villareal from being two points ahead of Real Betis.
Villarreal and Real Betis both collected 28 points, Villarreal's position can still be shifted by Real Betis because they still have one game remaining.

The longer it is, the performance decreases. 5 Matches only 1 win for them is inversely proportional to their condition at the start of the season.
While Socieadad are more confident now because they have always been like this even though last season their performance dropped again towards the end of the season, hopefully this season will not be like that.

Crazy to think that the 6 times europa league trophy gonna kicked out of the la liga , relegated next season ... as the performance are not getting better ... sevilla chance to survive seems really tiny now. What happened to Sevilla, defeat is so easy to get even though the opponent they are facing is not a strong team. Sevilla played well in the first half, they managed to break into Girona goal in the 13th minute, the score 1-0 for Sevilla victory lasted until the first half ended.
Sevilla played badly in the second half, Girona managed to reply to two goals which made Sevilla lose points in this match. This defeat made Sevilla position in the standings list even more depressed, from the 17 games played they were only able to produce 15 points. Sevilla could drop into the relegation zone if Cadiz and Espanyol win in game 17.

Girona were in full control of this match. They had so many goal opportunities even in the first ten minutes of the match. Sevilla scored a goal right after that suddenly. But it was still obvious after the goal that Girona had the strength to make a comeback in this. After the score came to 1-1 Sevilla also had quite many opportunities to score actually but they were really horrible. None of the shots was a threat to the Girona goalkeeper. Nianzou's big mistake in defense cost them three points as a result.

Sevilla were able to lead the match in the first half with 0-1, hoping that they will maintain the one goal till the end of the match but Girona apply another strategy in the second half that made them to equalized the goal 1-1 at 46 minutes in the second half. And Sevilla defense was not longer strong as the beginning of the first half that gave Girona strikers opportunity to embraced the second goals at 88 minutes to defeated Sevilla 2-1 for the favour of Girona. I think, Girona coach need to be celebrated in this beautiful victory they got from their opponent to achieved the three points.

Sevilla was in a good form, I never expected a draw from the match, all I saw was a win for Sevilla. They maintained a very nice play pattern in the first half of the game but later they played more defensive football which later turned out to be dreadful pressure on their ideas causing them to concede. If servilla were continually bent on forcing more attacks after registering the first goal, I don't think the match will end the way it did.
