Barcelona have been very impressive this season, they are currently leading the league table with 8 points ahead of Real Madrid. I keep wondering why they have not been successful in European competitions the same way they have been successful in Spain and something tells me probably they are not so good as they seem to be after all but they will have to remain consistent to hold on to their lead for the rest of the season.

Barcelona are good, but they need time to start playing at their best in European competitions, Xavi's influence on the team in the La Liga and Copa del rey can be seen by everyone, he is still new to coaching, so very soon he will start performing well as a manager in the champions league. The disappointment they faced in the European competition will not matter if they win the La Liga, and maybe the copa del rey, these trophies are enough for them this season, then they can start doing better in the champions league from next season.

I disagree. Even though it is a game in Camp Nou for Real Madrid, they have now shown a very solid performance against Liverpool and demonstrated how good they are at exercising control over the game. Barcelona has the advantage that Real Madrid can't afford to lose and has to be aggressive, but that doesn't mean Barcelona can just wait and see. Real's offense is able to score anytime.

When you mention sharp strikers on Barcelona's side, I am not sure whether they are in top shape right now. Lewandowski had a great start but slowed down a lot in overall scoring. If I had to make a guess I think that game is going to end in a tie. Real Madrid is too strong to lose it and in Copa del Rey they could have also won the game. But Barcelona is not so dominant that I wouid say they are likely to beat Real. It's going to be a great fight.

This is like one of the biggest chances for Barcelona to win another El Clasico truthfully. I think the reason is already visible.

Barcelona have already made a big gap with Real Madrid in the La Liga now. This has just pushed Real Madrid to care about the Champions League more than this league. But I mean this situation can help Barcelona capture a mental advantage before even the match starts. Barcelona defeated Real Madrid in their latest matchup in the Copa del Rey. This time the match is even in Camp Nou and I expect another victory by them.

I'll also believe maybe because of their record this season, if saw at the 25 matches they can really dominated La Liga, only get 2 loses 2 draw so far and rest of 21 matches they can won. I think this is a very good La Liga record for them and if Xavi can keep Barcelona winning streak in the rest of this season, maybe this will be a new record too in their history, even can better than their record when Messi and Neymar at there.

You can't predict the result of the next El Classico based on the result of previous El Classico matches. As far as I know, El Classico match is always difficult to predict. Real Madrid often won in Barcelona home, while Barcelona most wins are in Bernabeu. This simply shows us that home or aways has no significant impact on El Classico.

One factor that may have a big impact on the next El Classico is the current performance of both clubs. Since the current performance of Real Madrid and Barcelona looks good, the next El Classico seems to be a tight match. I think there will be a lack of goals, maybe 2-3 goals only during the match.

Actually it's still something that is very good for them but now there are still quite a lot of games, it would be great if they did that but even if they don't, as long as Madrid also can't develop their game and can't bring in points I think it's still better for them Barcelona now.
In terms of points, actually the only thing that can hinder Barcelona from bringing the trophy is just bad luck now and as long as they don't have that then they can clearly be said to be champions from now on even though there are still a lot of matches.

After eliminating Liverpool yesterday in the Champions League, the Real Madrid are are gonna tell themselves that that they can put up great performances in the remaining matches of the La Liga fixtures and overtake Barcelona thereby lifting the Spanish title at the of the season.

But taking nothing away from this fantastic Real Madrid team, I don't see them dethroning the Barcelona from the summit of the table this season. The league title is all that Barca got at the moment which is why they'll be playing with all composure, seriousness and desire.

Karim benzema's injury isn't gonna give way to anything good, as far as I know; he's been taken down and it usually takes time for his recovery,...not like mbappe that healed really fast,..though it depends on the kinda injuries anyways.... A type like the Shin Splints, or the Achilles tendon that takes almost a season to revive.
Madrid needs an alternative striker as you said, and I think they don't have any strong one for now...IMHO, that should be settled in case of some unforseen eventualities like this one.
Edit: Madrid is simply gonna either retain their position with much difficulties, or drop down below the table.

real madrid in the champions league is not the same as real madrid in the league and for this reason that every time we are playing against barcelona we are losing, you can see the odds at the bookmakers:

So you have to ask yourself why the bookmakers are giving this advantage odd to barcelona and not to real madrid who won the champions league match? And you'll find out that the reason is quite simple: in La Liga, Real Madrid hasn't performed well this season, Benzema has been injured then gets better and then comes back injured, and Real Madrid's defense is worse than Barcelona's, while barcelona manage to play well in la liga, they have good attack and defense, not to mention that they have a young team. I particularly still don't know if I'll bet on this game


Real Valladolid - Athletic Bilbao

Real Valladolid comes to this game with mixed results in the last 5 games, being that they managed to have 1 victory, 2 defeats and 2 draws, in 25 games they only managed to score 19 goals, but conceded 35 goals, they have serious problems in the attack. on the other hand we have Athletic Bilbao who in the last 5 games managed only 1 victory, suffered 3 defeats and had 1 draw, they also have not been performing well this season, but they are better than their opponent when compared to the number of goals in the 25 games. i think this is a very difficult game to predict the result

Atletico Madrid have a home game against Valencia meanwhile. I don't expect this game to be very challenging for them. Because they are already on an amazing unbeaten streak now and they are winning so many games recently. This should be a huge motivation for them to keep this going. Valencia aren't one of the teams that can make big difficulties for them.

There is a lot of chance involved in winning a major competition. Take for example the world cup, it was between Argentina and France and anyone could have won because they both were perfectly able to succeed at the endeavour. They were behind Barcelona but with like 3 to 5 points as I remembered. Now it is 9 points and the El Classico will be last chance for Real Madrid in La Liga. Win it does not mean they will catch Barcelona instantly but it gives them bigger chance and hope. Lose it, La Liga will end shortly for Real Madrid.

If Real Madrid win at quarter final and go to semi final, nobody can under estimate their chance to lift the cup again. They are always strong and dangerous in knock-out of Champions League.

With Real Madrid, I think Napoli will be their most unwanted opponent in quarter final. They have not too young squad and likely don't want to meet a young, energetic squad like Napoli.
